  • South Branch Condo 13-2 - Trailside Getaway, offers true ski-in, ski-out access at Saddleback Mountain. This inviting condo is ideal for guests looking to be right on the slopes while still enjoying a comfortable, relaxing space to come home to after a day outdoors. Located close to the main lodge, you'll have easy access to the popular pub-style restaurant, gift shop, and other on-mountain amenities.

    Inside, the condo is well equipped for a cozy and convenient stay. The fully equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher and standard coffee maker, while the living area features a gas fireplace, DirecTV with surround sound, and a DVD/DVR with a selection of DVDs. Additional amenities include a stereo/CD player, a new washer and dryer, and a ski locker located in the basement under Building 9.

    When you're ready to explore beyond the mountain, downtown Rangeley is just a short drive away, offering a local gym, great restaurants, and charming gift shops.

    Sleeping Arrangements: First Bedroom Main Floor King (or Two Twins), Second Bedroom Main Floor Queen.

    Location: South Branch Way branches off from the access road just before reaching the Saddleback Base Lodge. 7.7 miles to downtown Rangeley, 14.7 miles to downtown Oquossoc, and 0.4 miles to Saddleback Base Lodge.

    FAQs: Two vehicles only- park in front of the condo unit! Additional vehicles can park at one of the public lots near the Base Lodge. Ski locker available for guest use - located in the basement of building 9.

Amazing experience

We had an amazing stay at South Branch! The condo was clean and cozy. The fireplace was the perfect vibe after a day on the slopes. The staff was incredibly responsive and helpful whenever we had questions. We're already planning to make this an annual trip. Highly recommend for anyone looking to stay on mountain.

Stayed for a week with our family (2A, 2K)- the condo was comfortable and clean. Well stocked with TP, PT, dish soap, hand soap & even some cleaning products. Broom & Vacuum, too. Super easy ski in - ski out location. Beautiful view. We didn't use the grill but appreciated it being there for the next time. Nice water pressure in the spacious shower. Thanks for a memorable stay!

Fantastic ski weekend

We loved this condo. It was perfectly located and we would rent it again in a heartbeat! The gas fireplace was a really nice touch, and my wife loved all of the black bear decor (we have some of the same design in our home!) Saddleback is my favorite ski hill in Maine. This was my first time skiing there in probably a decade, and I just wish I could own one of these places!

Totally not worth the money

I hate to write a negative review, but over the years I've stayed at many condos on Saddleback Mountain. Almost all have been lovely, well-kept rentals that felt worth the investment. This small, 2nd floor, 2 BR condo is so cheaply appointed - right down to the one ply paper towels and toilet paper. Cheap, dull knives that don't cut, mismatched wine glasses, skimpy blankets, thin towels... you get the idea. Bring everything with you- there isn't even olive oil. And black bears everywhere you turn. If you're into bears on your lamps, your towel bars, your cutting boards, etc. then this is the place for you. There was no internet the first night and the details listed in the description were off - i.e. coffee maker was not a K-Cup machine. I had to empty each of the cups I purchased for the trip into the filtered maker. The management company is SUPER responsive, cheerful and accommodating. I won't be back, though.

Saddleback South Branch - Great Ski In / Ski Out Rental

Imagine going out your back door, putting on your skis and gliding away towards the lower lift at Saddleback. That's just what you get when you rent at the South Branch Condos through Morton-Furbish. Be sure to get the door code key before you leave, otherwise you need to walk around the building when you return. But, it is perfect for families, as the closest accessible slopes go right into Saddleback's beginner area. Perfect way to hit the slopes then return to your private condo for lunch. Better situated than we realized.
