"Our family had a wonderful time here. The house was amazing. We had 7 children ranging from 9-20 and there was something to do for all. The kids enjoyed fishing, kayaking, playing yard games (spike ball, Cornhole: really nice set, badminton,) roasted marshmallows at the fire pit). We grilled out and hung out in the deck with amazing views. Sat in the very nice hot tub also with the view of the water. Kitchen was fully stocked for cooking. We cooked all meals here all weekend. "We had the absolute best time at this property. Our extended family rented it to celebrate Christmas. We were pleasantly surprised that the house was decorated for Christmas! A tree, plates, towels, garland, lights! The indoor hot tub, cold plunge and sauna were a hit with all. The kitchen had everything you could possibly want. A great stove, multiple ovens, supplies, it made cooking for a group so easy. The beds were comfortable, numerous pillows, throws for the couch. The heated floors in...

"There is no way down to the river to fish so not sure what they are advertising. There is no on site workout area unless you count a couple of dumbbells in the mess in the garage. Downstairs bedroom is unfinished with exposed wiring."

"Sanctuary at Rum River was perfect for our large family get-together. All of the house was clean. Beds were very comfortable (even the bunk beds) bathrooms were well appointed. Kitchen was GREAT...nice to have everything labeled on the cabinets, and have plenty of dishware, glasses, coffee cups, and silverware. Good assortment of cooking utensils, pots, pans, etc. Awesome to have the washer and dryer available. Theatre room in the basement was a great bonus. As well as having the garage...
