It has everything needed for cooking in the kitchen or bbq’ing on the terrace, and the setting within an old castle complex and in the midst of mountainous nature is just awesome. We had a great time here, even though it was unfortunately very short for us. "

"What a find! We went as a large family group, so to have separate apartments for each individual family worked out perfectly for us. "Die Casa Metato liegt oberhalb von Castiglione di Garfagnana, man hat einen fantastischen Blick auf das Tal und die umliegenden Berge. Das Haus selbst ist blitzsauber und mit allem, was man für die Selbstversorgung benötigt, ausgestattet. Die Gastgeber sind sehr aufmerksam. "Wir waren zu 6 als Freundesgruppe dort, und hatten sehr viel Spaß. Man braucht zwar unbedingt ein Auto, wenn man nicht nur in der Wohnung bleiben will, man muss ja auch einkaufen, aber ansonsten war es sehr schön. Freundlicher Gastgeber und alles sehr sauber!"

"Where to begin!? The photos in the listing simply do not do this property justice. It is a truly magical location and I highly recommend it. We rented the entire place, for 20 people, to celebrate a birthday and each family, couple or single had their own private space/apartment, while still being part of the whole. It's charming and had all the amenities. There are several nearby villages to grab dinner or groceries, and Lucca is only an hour away. It's a bit of a hike to the marble quarries,...

"Fantastic house - all as per description - with very friendly hosts. Up the hills but close to parma and Bologna (1,5 hours). Great beds and fully equipped kitchen with fantastic plancha- BBQ. Great for hikes and to to enjoy nature. Cool in the evenings so did not need an airco. Plenty trees and shade. Would go again in a hart beat"

"Heerlijk genoten van het huis en de omgeving. Bij aankomst hartelijk ontvangen door de eigenaar. Huis en buitenverblijf was perfect schoon. Dat hebben wij zelden meegemaakt zo schoon . Alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig. We konden altijd contact opnemen met de eigenaar, als er iets was. En er is in de omgeving genoeg te ontdekken.
