Major security concerns and cleanliness issues!
I never write one-star reviews but want to warn others about this place. First, I paid $400 for a hotel to AVOID staying a 2nd night here! First, the neighborhood is rough. According to LexisNexis Community Crime Map there have been 12 auto thefts, 3 sexual assaults and about 20 robbery/burglaries in 2024 YTD just within a 1/2-mile radius of this house. The house is at the street dead-end and anyone staying there will feel vulnerable since everyone in the area can identify the last three houses as short-term rentals.
So how was our experience? We arrived after the check-in time around 5 pm, so would have expected the cleaning to have been complete. When we pulled into the driveway a teenage to early twenties aged MAN WALKED OUT OF THE FRONT DOOR. He gave me a strange look as if he was caught hanging out in the house, then proceeded to go to the house next door (also a rental) and typed the keypad code to unlock and go inside. The owner later described him as part of the cleaning crew, but he had no cleaning supplies, no vehicle in front of the house and the house had no evidence of recent cleaning - a dirty diaper in a bathroom trashcan and french fries in another, beer can on kitchen counter, dishwasher had not been run, and a set of dirty sheets was wadded up in the master closet. There was no other deadbolt for the door except the keypad operated lock this guy (likely lurking next door) had access to. Needless to say, I hardly slept at all.
