Please note: Sorry, no hen or stag parties. There is a river running around the garden, it is fenced off but please supervise children at all times.. Moorlands is a wonderful holiday home located in the charming village of Chilcompton, refurbished in 2022 to provide luxurious accommodation, perfect for all the family!





    Pull into your driveway where Moorlands awaits you, step inside the hallway where the vaulted double height ceiling floods the room with light. There is a piano and reading nook to be enjoyed here.





    The spacious living, dining and kitchen areas are open plan with wonderful views from the large patio doors over the garden. The living area has stunning feature wallpaper, lighting, comfortable yet stylish seating and an awesome real flame gas fireplace.





    The dining area has a large table with ample seating and statement lighting while the fabulous well-equipped kitchen which includes a boiling water tap, wine fridge and designer extractor, shows the high level of fixtures and fittings you can expect. Also on the ground floor is a double bedroom with en-suite facilities, and a door leading to the garden with a terrace, perfect for your morning cuppa.





    A utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer can be found on the ground floor.





    Upstairs there are 4 bedrooms which all lead off the galleried landing, one is a super king size bed which can be twin beds on request, one with a king size bed, one with double bed and another with double bed and single bunk on top. The two family bathrooms can be found on this floor, one with a large walk-in shower and the other, a large walk-in shower and stunning stone pebble shaped bath. Both bathrooms have been finished to the highest standard and offer luxury living. A hot tub can be hired (at a cost) with prior arrangement with the owner giving an extra feel of luxury to enjoy a little bit of R&R.





    Heading outside, the extremely large garden is mainly laid to lawn, with 2 wonderful seating areas to enjoy. There is space for all the family to play endless games while around the side is a lovely vegetable garden which guests are welcome to use, and a hot and cold dog wash is provided for your convenience. A beautiful river runs around the garden of the property and care has been taken to enclose the garden, but children and animals should be supervised at all times.





    Set between the cities of Bath and Wells, you will never tire of things to do while staying here! Bath with its fabulous architecture, riverside cafes, boutique shops and spas is a delightful day out, as is England’s smallest cathedral city of Wells with its outdoor market, cafés, and restaurants. Glastonbury is within easy reach with its ancient medieval charm and Tor, where you can see for miles and miles from the top. Head to Street’s designer outlet, Clarks Village, and grab a bargain. Wookey Hole Caves are a great day out for all the family and Cheddar Gorge and caves makes for a great day and has cheese, what more could you ask for! Pub and restaurant 704 yards.

Lovely large house

Lovely large house that accommodated 10 of us easily. Great large entertaining space with ample room for everyone to sit comfortably and great dining table that seats 10. Kitchen very well equipped with 2 ovens making it so easy to cater for a large group. All bedrooms lovely with great matresses for a good nights sleep. Lovely outside space as well and ample off road parking.

We had a wonderful time at Moorlands.

We had a wonderful time at Moorlands. The house was stunning, with plenty of room for our family group. The downstairs bedroom/ensuite was perfect for my elderly Mum. The two upstairs bathrooms with walk-in showers were great for the rest of us.The open plan kitchen/dining room/lounge was airy and very comfortable. The electric fire was warm and a great feature.Everything you can think of is provided: washing up/dishwasher items, hand soaps, shower gels, towels, tea towels, plenty of toilet rolls, even feminine hygiene products. There has clearly been plenty of love and care put into this gorgeous home.The garden is amazing with 4 separate seating areas, including a very cute wooden cabin. The help-yourself vegetable garden was an added treat; the best tomatoes we've tasted!!There are two pubs within walking distance. We ate at the Somerset Wagon, my daughter is coeliac and there were plenty of gluten free options.The village is small so a car is recommended, although buses did travel through.We would be very happy to return to Moorlands!!
