  • Cascate del Diborrato - Parco fluviale dell'Elsa Inside the residential area of Colle Val d'Elsa is a historic and natural landscape of enormous value thanks to the Elsa River which crosses the Val d'Elsa creating a unique territory. The river creates enchanting corners for hiking and observing: the engineering works for gathering water, the artifical canal system for carrying the water to the city, the caves. A particularly suggestive point is the Diborrato water falls, a 15m jump which is more than 10m deep, a sort of small lake where the locals used to go to cool off. Other places not to miss are the Grotta dell'Orso, the Conchina, the Masso Bianco, the Nicchia and the Spianata dei Falchi, each with its own particularities. This natural richness has been recognized with the institution of a protected area in the River Park of the Upper Val d'Elsa which includes the path of the river from the city of Colle Val d'Elsa which stretches from Ponte Santa Giulia to Ponte di Spugna and includes the Caldane, thermal springs which were known to the Etruscans and Romans.

  • #TroveOn Yes, Monteriggioni just might be the quintessential walled medieval village in Tuscany. It's small enough to perhaps be called "cute" but you won't catch me using this term. Monteriggioni began as a border fortress built on a round hill by Sienna against the Florentines. It is famous for the intact defensive structure that held up against repeated Florentine attacks in the 11th century; its 10 meter high walls and 14 towers can still be seen for miles around. Monteriggioni has been featured in movies as a typical medieval village. The village is slightly elliptical in shape with two gates (a third has been plugged). The major gate tourists will use when coming from the parking lot, Porta Franca, owes its name to the Via Francigena--Monteriggione was a major stop on the pilgrimage trail from Cantebury to Rome. The Romanesque Church of Santa Maria Assunta will offer assistance with housing for modern pilgrims traveling the Francigena pilgrimage route. Monteriggioni was a sleepy village of farmers and sheep herders as late as the 1960's. Today it exists entirely for tourists and pilgrims. You'll find wine shops, a tasting room, restaurants and hotels in the small village. This is not neccessarily a disadvantage, although some times it's nice to see some locals puttering about once in a while. Where is Monteriggioni? Monteriggioni is located in the province of Siena, 14km to the northwest of Siena (54km from Florence). While it can be done as a day trip from Siena, you might be better off staying the night--Monteriggioni is much more evocative when the tourists leave late in the afternoon and you can sit in a courtyard sipping a glass of Chianti. Monteriggioni is surrounded by vineyards, and is known for its wine production.

Stayed at Villa Le Bolli for our wedding. Everything was incredible. The villa far exceeded our expectations. Super clean and spacious with lots of options for activities. Our wedding at the villa was everything we could have dreamed.

The Perfect Tuscany Stay

Villa Le Bolli was an amazing venue. The staff made us feel welcome and feel as if the house was our own from the start. Sometimes, it is small touches that can make a big difference. With the help of the host, we had a pizza welcoming catered dinner. The host had a wedding before our stay and used the left over flower arrangements to add decorations for us. The sunsets were amazing and the kitchen had everything that was needed. The hosts were very generous with other things such as making sure the place was stocked sufficiently with toilet paper etc. for our entire stay.If you are thinbking of having a destimation wedding, then it will not get any better than this. We had an amazing and memorable family reunion and thank Pierangelo and Sara for making it very easy.

Wunderschön….Service nicht ganz befriedigend.

Ein grosses Haus in einer wunderschönen Umgebung. Wir haben die Betreuung vor Ort etwas vermisst. Abfallentsorgung wurde nicht täglich gemacht, Abfallsäcke fehlten. Auch war während dieser Woche niemand verantwortlich für die Reinigung des Pools! Beim Abschied war auch niemand von den Besitzern da. .

We LOVED staying at villa le Bolli. We had an intimate wedding here and it was absolutely beautiful. The property is clean with great upkeep and amazing views. Pierre went above and beyond to meet our needs. Would love to return for an anniversary.

Beautiful Property!

This place is beautiful! Everyone was so kind to us and attentive. We were able to have majority of our family stay with us. Plenty of space/rooms so that was a reason why we decided to book. I am so glad we decided to have our wedding there. The panoramic view is INSANE. It was all truly a dream come true. I am so thankful for everyone at the villa.

Amazing Views and Unforgettable Accommodations

We had our wedding at Villa Le Bolli, and beyond the breath taking views, gorgeous housing, and getting to live in a Tuscan dream, it was made all the more amazing by the host Pierangelo and our wedding planner Antonella. They offered additional services and had everything planned and figured out, allowing us to truly relax and enjoy ourselves! We are so grateful for them and this beautiful villa that will be in our hearts forever!

It made all my dreams come true

We celebrated a special family and friends anniversary in this beautiful villa. It was the most perfect venue. The property is so much more than the pictures show. It’s perched on a picturesque hill surrounded by hilltop towns. The sunsets, the grounds, the pool all exceeded our expectations. There was privacy for everyone. It was soundproof enough for the late night people to party and the early risers to sleep. The kitchen is massive with plenty of refrigerators and appliances. The prepared food was delicious. I will dream of this villa for the rest of my life. Thank you for this amazing offering! I hope we get to come back one day!

Spacious bedrooms

Besides everything else terrific about this place that other reviews mention, Villa Le Bolli has 12 spacious bedrooms each with its own full bathroom. In addition, many rooms have the availability of extra beds for children, etc., so large groups can all be comfortable. One other note not mentioned well enough in other reviews is that the view from the swimming pool over the valley is worth the price alone.

Wonderful villa for a large group

This property is great and lives up to the expectations. The host is welcoming and very helpful with suggestions and any queries. The property is beautiful and has a really good layout, great kitchen, wonderful pool and good equal sized bedrooms each with a separate bathroom. We had a group of 17 adults/children and everyone had a wonderful time. Would highly recommend this villa.

Wonderful week in Tuscany

We had planned our trip with family and friends originally for 2021 but had to move due to COVID. All the waiting was well with it! Pierangelo was great as we navigated through COVID and moving our dates. He was always available to answer all of our questions prior to our arrival. While at the villa, any concerns we had, he was always responsive and helpful. The villa is beautiful and clean and centrally located. The views and sunsets were magnificent. We took advantage of visiting many of the hill towns close by in addition to Siena, San Gimignano, Volterra, Florence and Pisa. There are also many vineyards and a beach nearby to visit as well. Our group consisted of children and adults and everyone had a fabulous time. The pool, foosball table and pool table were a hit. We had Pierangelo and his team cook several meals for us and they were outstanding. I definitely recommend taking advantage of this offering - Tuscan BBQ's in particular! His entire team was lovely. Highly recommended for a large group looking to get away in Tuscany.

Trip of a lifetime with friends

After COVID, we desperately needed a getaway. We booked with Pierangelo many months in advance based on the great reviews. The villa and hosts exceeded our expectations in every way. Every room was clean and nicely appointed with its own bathroom. We used each of the 12 bathrooms for a total of 24 people. Our group included adults young and old, and plenty of kids. We enjoyed - Day trips to neighboring towns including Radicondoli in Tuscany - Pool! - The INCREDIBLE VIEWS - Fooseball table! - Playing one of the two guitars that were there - Cooking some great meals in the large kitchen - Pierangelo reserved 2 meals catered in, which were GREAT - And most of all, having a great central place to relax and unwind for a week

Beautiful Large Villa surrounded by nature

This was our second visit to Tuscany, the first with extended family, and we stayed for two weeks. The villa was incredibly beautiful, starting with the entrance through the gate and lighted driveway flanked by olive trees. During our two week stay, we drove by many villas and did not see another that came anywhere close to the beauty of Villa Le Bolli. There are 12 bedrooms, each with private bathroom and very strong AC which we greatly appreciated during the heat wave during our stay. Common areas have AC as well (unlike many other villas). We stayed at a villa without AC in 2017 and it was unbearably hot so AC for us is key. Bedrooms varied in size but were spacious and comfortable, and several had lofted areas and their own private outdoor area. There is a beautiful outdoor covered deck off the kitchen and dining room with ceiling lights for evening where we had breakfast and dinner most nights. The view and sunsets were incredible. There are multiple seating areas throughout the property. We arranged multiple villa dinners and one breakfast prepared by the villa staff—it was wonderful to have that option so we could relax in the evenings after a long day of touring. Our trip was originally planned for 2020 so I had been communicating with the owner, Pierangelo, and his staff since 2018. They were so helpful and responsive prior to and after our arrival. The villa is centrally located for visits to Florence, Siena, Volterra, San Gimignano, Pienza, Montelpuciano and many other lovely hill towns. It’s a 5 minute drive from the downtown area of Radicondoli, a lovely small town with a very nice pharmacy, bakery, small grocery store and 3 restaurants, one of which was so wonderful we ate there multiple times (Agriteca in Piazza). There is another excellent restaurant in Mensano (less than 10 minutes away), Osteria del Borgo. Casole D’Elsa is 10 minutes away and has a gelato shop, pharmacy, and additional restaurants. The convenience of these small towns and access to a pharmacy in particular, makes the villa ideally located. Given the size, beautiful surroundings, giant pool, location and service, I am confident that there is no other villa that would have suited our needs as well anywhere in Tuscany. Stay here and book early!!!!

My wife and I celebrated our wedding at Villa Le Bolli. The hosts assisted us in planning our wedding for over 2 years. They consistently followed up with us during the planning stage and throughout our trip. The wedding was magical and exactly how we pictured it. Planning abroad is expectedly stressful, but Pierangelo and Sara made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. The Villa is stunning and although the pictures are beautiful, they do not do the property any justice. We chose to have our week long stay catered and it was one of our best decisions we made, the food was amazing and something about long table family dinners every night really made the villa feel like home. The Hosts did a large shopping trip for us prior to our arrival assuring the home was stocked with refreshments and snacks. Although it is fairly remote in the Tuscan countryside, I can’t think of any reasons to leave the property during the stay. Thank you Pierangelo & Sara, I hope we can meet again. You two are very special humans and we can’t thank you enough for all your hard work. The effort and commitment you provided assuring our guests had an enjoyable stay is something that is rarely experienced. If you are thinking of booking this Villa I suggest you don’t hesitate, I find it hard to believe comparable properties even exist!

Schöne abgelegene Villa mit mega Aussicht

Die Villa kommt in echt noch besser als auf den Bildern, alles ist sehr schön eingerichtet und der Pool ist auch super. Klare Weiterempfehlung. Das Personal ist auch sehr freundlich.

Sehr schöne Villa!

Le Bolli war perfekt für unsere Sommerferien (12 Erwachsene, 9 Kinder, 3 Hunde). Anlage sehr schön und sauber, gut ausgestattet. Gastgeber Pierangelo und Sara waren sehr nett und serviceorientiert. Wir kommen wieder!

Fantastisch, wat een uitzicht

Heel veel ruimte, prachtig uitzicht vanaf veranda en zwembad, alles goed verzorgd. Professionele keuken waar je met veel mensen voor veel mensen het eten kunt bereiden. Alle kamers met badkamer en airco. Enige puntje is: meubilair/aankleding binnen is gedateerd/wat sober. Bedden slapen wel top, dus matrassen etc prima.

The Most Perfect Wedding by Sara & Pierengelo

Words could never describe the happiness my family, my husbands family, and my wedding guests spending a view days at this villa. Sara went above and above and created my vision of my perfect wedding. She worked tirelessly with Pierangelo to ensure that the entire trip was perfect, especially the wedding. I was fortunate enough to have almost 70 people at our destination wedding, and they flawlessly executed multiple breakfasts, dinners and the actual wedding. Sara also helped plan some large group events at some nearby farms and brewery which were also a highlight of the trip. These events were for 50 people and Sara made sure that they went smoothly. I could never express the gratitude to them for making this trip the trip of a lifetime for my husband, me, and all of our guests. Please take advantage of their generosity, you will not regret it!

Wonderful week at Villa Le Bolli

Our group of 16 family members and friends stayed at Villa Le Bolli for a week-long vacation. It exceeded our expectations. The property is spectacular - many acres of olive trees, a large pool, a view of Radicondoli atop a nearby mountain and a magnificent house. The service from Sara, Pierangelo and their team was outstanding. They anticipated our every need. The location of the villa was perfect for day trips to Siena, Florence, San Gimignano, Volterra, the Chianti region, etc. The smaller towns close to the villa such as Radicondoli, Mensano and Belforte were delightful. We opted for dinner in the villa on our last night and it was the best meal of the week; the perfect way to conclude a wonderful visit. We would love to return.

We loved our time at LeBolli. The weather started out hot, but our rooms and the pool were cool! The meals prepared for our group were outstanding--great food! The peaceful, iconic location exceeded our expectations. Sara was invaluable.

Villa Le Bolli is an amazing place and Sara and Pierangelo made our stay truly magical. If you are looking for place to stay in Tuscany for a larger group you can't find a better property and people. Everything about Villa Le Bolli is beautiful property with amazing grounds. ALL rooms are great, with great A/C and bathrooms in each and every room. Having a group of just over 20 people getting access to the industrial kitchen was amazing as well. Aside from the building and property being great having such friendly and genuinely good people to help us with just about anything we needed was what sets Villa Le Bolli apart. Sara and Pierangelo cooked and served us when we needed, they gave us tips in regards to where to go, what to see, where to dine and the list goes on. We had the best holiday and are very greatful, Pierangelo and Sara thank you so much for all your help, you made our trip truly magical :-)

The villa was absolutely breathtaking! Sara was amazing! Higly recommend this place!

I would highly recommend this villa to everyone. This place was truly magical and highlighted the beauty of Italy. Every room has its own bathroom. There is wifi and they have an amazing kitchen to cook in! The grounds are breathtaking and they offer olive oil from their olive trees on the property. Sara was an amazing host and very quick to respond to any of our needs.

Phenomenal place to stay for a large group

The villa and grounds are beautiful, the location is great for day trips all around Tuscany, but the most impressive part of the experience was how Sara and Pierangelo made it feel like our house for the week. They prepared three meals for us during the week (highly recommended) which was an opportunity for our group of 16 to have the experience of being a big Italian family at dinner. More than enough bedrooms all with private bath, and large common areas for gathering Highly recommended for large groups of family or friends.

Simply Perfect

We just returned from a week in Radicondoli at Le Bolli and it far exceeded all of our expectations. The pictures of the villa are great, but like other reviewers have said, they don't come close to doing it justice. The property and the views (especially the sunsets) are absolutely gorgeous! The house itself was the perfect size for the 25 of us who stayed there, and we could have had a couple more guests with room to spare. The pool was used often, even at the beginning of September, and we had a great time playing bocce in the yard and foosball as well. We did a cooking class one night and the staff served us our meal out on the patio which was very relaxing. The food that Pierangelo and his wife Teresa taught us how to make was restaurant quality and delicious. My only regret was that we did not have them prepare more meals for us out on the patio because it was a beautiful setting. While the facilities were awesome, the people were what made our stay truly special. We reserved Le Bolli for our wedding and had so many questions/worries about how we were going to pull it off since we didn't hire a wedding planner to coordinate all the details. Our fears were quickly eased once we started communicating with Sara. She took care of booking many of the vendors we used and made great suggestions for photographers, flowers, etc. Even with the six hour time difference, she was always quick to respond to our inquiries and talk us off the ledge when we would stress over something small. This lady is truly amazing. Seriously. AMAZING! There's no way we could have done it without her. Both of us were fighting back tears (very unsuccessfully) when we had to say goodbye, because the entire week was perfect. Without any hesitation at all I would strongly recommend staying at Le Bolli if you have the chance. We are very much looking forward to our next visit in the near future.

Wonderful vacation at Le Bolli!

My family and I stayed at Le Bolli to celebrate my parent's 60th wedding anniversary. The villa was even more beautiful in person than in the pictures. We spent a wonderful week with memories that will last a lifetime. Sara and Pierangelo helped us with anything we needed. They had recommendations for places to visit, where to shop, where to eat, etc. They helped us create a lovely dinner party to celebrate my parent's anniversary. It was truly an unforgettable week for my family (26 people in all ranging in age from 16 - 83). Tuscany is lovely. We were all sad when our vacation ended. I highly recommend Le Bolli.
