The pool measures 6 x 12 m and the water depth varies from 1.50 to 2.20 m. You can also enjoy barbecue evenings outdoors; there is even a wood-burning oven. It is possible to eat outdoors at any time, in the large veranda with a stone table, covered by a pergola. The estate includes a five-hectare olive grove, one hectare of which is fenced off around the house, so that even your four-legged friends have ample freedom. The property has four covered parking spaces. The family-run property has been renovated using traditional materials and therefore conveys a special kind of hospitality. It offers the ideal setting for a relaxing holiday in the fresh air and with good food.
The holiday home offers a unique ambience with tasteful furnishings and three bedrooms on two floors. On the ground floor there is a large living area with a sofa bed for two persons (1.60 x 1.90 m), a spacious bedroom with a double bed, a small but fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom with shower. From this bathroom you can exit directly into the garden through a glass door. A wooden staircase leads to the upper floor, which can also be accessed via an outside staircase. In the living area on the upper floor, the large original fireplace is the focal point on cold days and provides warmth and comfort. In the spacious, fully masonry kitchen, you will find everything you need for cooking, as well as a collection of antique pots and pans, lovingly assembled from various farms and second-hand shops. There are also two cosy and bright bedrooms, each with a double bed, and a bathroom with bathtub, from whose window you can admire Monte Cetona. Another small bathroom with shower is located on the loggia; since it can be reached directly via external stairs, it is often used for showering after a bath. A total of eight beds are available; the double beds each measure 1.60 x 1.90 m. Upon request, the owner can provide a baby bed in the ground floor bedroom. The property offers free internet access.
Shops, bars and restaurants can be found in Radicofani, about five kilometres away. The Val d'Orcia Natural and Cultural Park, in which the house is located, is part of the World Heritage. From here you can visit many interesting towns and picturesque villages, such as Celle sul Rigo, Radicofani with its fortress, the 46 thermal springs of San Casciano dei Bagni, known since Roman times and now equipped with the new Fonteverde wellness centre, Pienza, the birthplace of Pope Pius II, Montepulciano, the Etruscan town of Sarteano and many other enchanting places rich in history, art and important excavations, such as the Archaeological Park of Monte Cetona. In only 25 minutes by car you can reach Monte Amiata, an extinct volcano now covered by one of the largest beech forests in Europe and, in winter, a renowned ski resort. From the summit you have a breathtaking view over the valley and, if the weather is fine, you can even see the sea. For hikers, we recommend the Via Francigena, travelled by thousands of pilgrims every year on their way to Rome. Numerous cultural events, festivals and markets take place throughout the year.
