This hotel is nice in that it is close to the airport and away from the hectic center of Quito. It is surrounded by beautiful landscapes, trails, birds and nature. It is a mostly quiet (although the room walls seem pretty thin and we heard the noises from our neighbors) and quite relaxing alternative to staying in the city. If you are just flying through Quito for a day or so, this place is a great option.
Food: Breakfasts are included but they are VERY limited in selection. My wife is gluten free so she could literally only eat fruit. We tried dinner in the hotel restaurant one night and it was quite good. The service staff in the restaurant are quite nice.
Rooms: beds are comfy but amenities are spare. This is a very "no frills" sort of place, so don't expect much in terms of the rooms. The rooms provide a good night sleep and a hot shower, which was enough for us.
Value: It's a good value for the price, although the "extras" can add up in terms of cost of transport to and from Quito and any day trips you might want to do. We wanted to go to Mindo for the day but the prices the hotel quoted us seemed quite high, so we opted for a private tour booked through Viator, which was quite a bit cheaper and gave us exactly what we were looking for. I
Overall we would recommend this hotel for its uniqueness, its natural beauty (be sure to explore the trails!) and its proximity to the airport.
