Maravilloso!! Nos atendieron de lo mejor, nos sentimos como en casa de amigos, Rafael y su esposa estuvieron siempre atentos y pendientes. Definitivamente regreso y lo recomiendo!!!

Necesita informacion correcta.
Para empesar,con el nombre la casa de Hacienda en el lugar hay muchas ,el nombre real es La casa de Hacienda la Merced,la distancia noes 8Km. son mas de 18Km.No hay wifi en las abitaciones ,y es mala en la sala de espera.con respecto al servicio no puedo comentar ya que stuve pocas horas alli . pero las personas que trabajan alli son muy amables..gracias por su atencion.

Bellissimo
Esperienza molto positiva, ho trovato un gruppo di persone molto gentili e aempre tutti sorridenti, mi hanno fatto stare molto bene. Immerso nel verde permette di staccare e rilassarsi. Colazioni ottime e apprezzatissime e se si vuole prenotando si puo anche cenare e cibo favoloso.

This is one of the most amazing places that I have ever stayed! The 400 year old farmhouse was stunning and the staff was warm, friendly, and just amazing!

Nice compound in the neighborhoods between the airport and the central district. Hook up with their driver Washington who will take you to all the places you want to go in and around town. Hotel staff is very accommodating and friendly. Property is 400 year old building surrounded by gardens.

A work in progress. Right now, 3.5 stars.
This 400 year old property is in the process of being updated and beautified. The owner is working hard, but our bathroom shower still leaked. The grounds are vast and she is happy to show you around the yet to be rehabbed space. Quite interesting and quite a challenge. It is a high gated compound that we didn’t leave and without much around it. If you want it, dinner is $24 + wine. The owner cooks it herself. Good, but pricey.

This historic hacienda and gardens were so peaceful. I enjoyed the intimacy of the dining room and the wonderfully prepared meals. The staff accommodated our schedule for meals and arranged taxi service to the airport. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and recommend this unique hotel.

Quite, comfortable, beautiful but away from city
We stayed here one night after flying into Quito at midnight. The Hacienda will pick you up from the airport at no charge. They contacted us as soon as we booked to ask about travel plans. The Hacienda is not in the city and the neighborhood is not great, but it is secure, beautiful, quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was included and very good. Wifi is available in the lounge area of the main building. It is 300 years old and the buildings and grounds are beautiful and relaxing. It's 45 minutes from Quito, 20ish from the airport.

Historic Charm
This was an absolute gem of a surprise. We had looked for a accommodation near Quito's international airport and arrived at a 400 hundred year old mansion with 4-foot thick walls! Hostess/proprietor Elizabet graciously settled us into a charming room with hand painted floral designs on the whitewashed walls and matching fittings. We asked for a tour: each room was unique with floral paintings, matching crochet covers, and one-of-a-kind antiques. The food was home made and nourishing and served in the authentic kitchen. Hot water bottles were placed in our beds (tho' the thick walls kept the rooms warm) and there were fresher fruit dipped in chocolate at our bedside! What more could one ask for?

Bathroom should be better . We had to take bath in an old bath tub and it was inconvenient with curtans clinging to your body and leaving no room to move about. Bath room shower area needs a redo. Breakfast is very good. Staff is very courteous. Even did my overnight laundry here.

Super location close to Quito airport
Stayed overnight on my way back to Canada. The hotel is a 400(?) year old casa de hacienda. Very nice place. Don't forget to duck in the doorways.

Gorgeous Old Colonial Experience.
For our last night in Ecuador, we spent it here and are sorry we couldn't stay longer. The grounds are gorgeous and the buildings are restored old colonials. Dinner was great and the service excellent and helpful. A bit pricey, but worth it.

Beautiful Hacienda with WONDERFUL Staff!!!
We were so impressed with this Hacienda and Staff! What a perfect introduction to Ecuador! Erica greeted us as we drove up the leaf arched, cobble stone lane. She gave us a tour of the Hacienda, and saw to our every need! The grounds are immaculately groomed with flowers, vines, trees and roses. The Owner took some time to share some history of the Hacienda with us. Our room was clean, spacious and decorated to maintain the original flavor of this place. The food served in the main dining room was the best we have tasted! Margarita and Thalia, ( the Cooks and Servers) were a perfect blend of friendliness and professionalism! Washington, our taxi driver, gained our confidence immediatly! It was like visiting with a long-time friend! His relatives took us on a very enjoyable and personalized tour of Quito. Even though this Hacienda is close to the airport, it was sooo quiet. We will definitely stay here again!

Beautiful location
Don't pay attention to the "Free shuttle roundtrip" What that actually means is they will pay for a taxi to pick you up from the airport. However you have to pay for the taxi to the airport, and the hotel arranges the price for you (three times the going rate) The upside is our taxi driver was really nice and spoke some english. The grounds were beautiful and our room was incredible. They have no heating so the rooms are cold, but that is a small price to pay for the amazing bed, gorgeous furniture, and safe grounds 20 minutes from the airport. Their dinner (if you don't mind paying $19 a person) Is fantastic local cuisine. I would stay here again if I had a morning or night flight.

Unique and wonderful old hacienda
WE loved the Hacienda Su Merced. Only 15 minutes from the Quito airport. 350 years old, well maintained , great charming bedrooms, modern bathrooms, lovely gardens, perfect service, historical public rooms filled with antiques and a personal family history. You couldn't ask for more. Wish we had stayed 2 nights and chilled out.

Great hotel great atmosphere
I wanted to bring my wife to somewhere special that she would always remember. This hotel is just that. It's a very old hacienda that has a certain comfort for someone who enjoys classic architecture. There are many antiques adorning the grounds. Erika was a wonderful host, who took great pride, as she should, in this property.

While the property was a 400 year hacienda converted to a motel/rooms the property is extremely isolated - the cab driver was not even able to locate the property without several different turn arounds and arguing with his dispatcher. We arrived late in the evening and had an early flight out and while they offered a dinner - they overcharged greatly for the room and the meal. We had an early flight so a plastic bag with a banana, box of juice and some unknown meat type of packed sandwich was our "breakfast included".

We stayed at the Hacienda before a trip to the Galapagos. There are so many wonderful antiques, it's like staying in a museum! I am told the Hacienda is 400 years old. the room was beautiful and came complete with a hot water bottle for anyone with cold feet (me)! the staff is lovely and Washington was a delight!

Incredible facilities well preserved as a Hacienda
We stayed in this Hacienda Hotel because we needed to go very early to the airport. We looked in diferent sites and found this in Travelocity and booked two rooms with them. We arrived a little bit late at night 9 PM and they were expecting us. They showed the incredible facilities of a very well preserved Hacienda with lots of collectible artifacts and very nice stuff. We searched in the Internet for a Hotel near the Airport because we didn't want to go back to Quito and make the hour and a half trip, so we stayed in this hotel. The only thing I regret is not having enough time to enjoy the facilites because we leave the Hotel at about 4:00 AM for a very early flight back home. They even prepared breakfast for us at that time! Excellent attention and very nice and clean rooms.

Authentic hacienda only 20 minutes from airport
I found the Su Merced to be enchanting. When my taxi pulled into the drive I was met at the taxi by a hotel manager who addressed me by name and escorted my to my room. I was asked what I would like for diner and told that it would be ready in the dining room in 30 minutes. Internet is available in the main lobby area and I found that it worked well. The two foot thick walls of the hacienda limit the distance of the WiFi to the lobby area. The decor of the room made me feel like I was indeed in a charming, 400 year old hacienda. The view of Quito from the patio garden was stunning. I only wish I had booked for two day (or more) so I could better explore the area. After dinner I ordered a glass of wine and sat in the lobby updating emails and the such after two weeks in the Galapagos Islands. When I was done I was given a hot-water bottle - because the room I had was not temperature controlled. The hot-water bottle was warm all night. The manager ordered a 05:00 taxi for me and the owner was out to say goodby and thank me for staying at the hotel. In summary, keep in mind that this is a 400 year old hacienda; old wood doors and window shutters are not sound-proof. But it is only 20 minutes from the new International Airport (UIO) and I doubt that you can find a staff more attentive and willing to meet your needs. I haven't been anywhere where I felt more connected to Ecuador.

Delightful Bed & Breakfast
Because it is fairly close to the Quito airport, we stayed three separate times on a recent trip. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They even welcomed us with umbrellas when it was raining! We arrived very late (after 10:30pm) and left early (4:30am) twice, and this was fine with the staff. Washington, the wonderful taxi driver used by this hotel, was always on time and very helpful. The hotel is a 300 year old converted hacienda with lovely spacious grounds and quaint, unique and clean rooms. The beds are comfortable but not large. The one breakfast that fit with our travel schedule was delicious and filling. In a nutshell, this is a great place to stay if you would like to get a taste of Ecuadorian life and an introduction to the village culture of Ecuador. We really enjoyed it because we liked its warm, homey feeling. On the other hand, if you prefer standard hotels with lobbies, cookie cutter decor, and glossy tiled bathtubs just down the street from bustling restaurants and nightlife, this hotel is not for you.

one night lay-over stay
I booked this hotel because it was said to be close to the new Quito airport. It was about a 20min taxi ride at 1AM in the morning, and involved some back street-cobblestone driving. It was a bit hard for the driver to fine but we made it. They have quaint, single rooms (behind gated wall). The room was clean, with minimal antique décor, but comfortable. They did provide a nice breakfast and provided a driver ($15) back to the airport the next morning. His name was Washington and we made arrangements for him to drive us around Quito on our return visit from Guayaquil and Salinas. Even though we only stayed one night, it was a good place to use for a stop over.

Close to the Airport
I had to spend a few days near the airport. Staff were great, service and food excellent. Wireless internet was not for business use. Also the rooms did not have a means of heat so it is hard to knock the chill off if required.

Closest to new airport.
Nice private compound in suburban area. Seems like a former hacienda. Had a 8 hour layover, and owner picked me up at airport at 11 PM- and took me back at 4 AM or so. I would have been happy to stay here longer. I felt very welcome here. Recommend having hotel pick you up as getting there is so confusing. It is easily 20 minutes from airport, and I don't know how much farther to town. Also, Ecuador uses American currency, so no need to get cash at the airport f you're coming from US.

Great hotel about 20 minutes from the airport.
Wonderful place to stay! They helped arrange airport transfer to and from the hotel. Dinner and breakfast were very nice! Staff were very friendly. I highly recommend this wonderful hacienda!

Small, quaint hotel 20 minutes from airport
I only stayed here for one night, before flying to Galapagos the next morning. Proximity to the airport was a must (central Quito can be a 90 minute drive away), and there is very little choice in the area. The Su Merced was an attractive, rustic single floor B&B with lovely walled gardens that made me wish I could see more of the place. The staff were delightfully friendly and helpful at antisocial hours, and arranged a taxi pick-up for me at the airport, with return for my early flight the next morning ($15 each way). The room was simple, but charming and colourful; the bed was comfortable. I had to leave before breakfast the next morning, so I can't comment on the food.

Nice room. Very clean. No locks just a latch but room was in a garden area with high walls surrounding it so it was secure. Good informal bed and breakfast type setting for breakast. Beautiul spanish style decor. Good food and service. Location seem alittle remote but I only stayed 1 night so all I knew was we were about 15 to 20 minutes from the airport.

I arrived late (10:30 pm) and left again for airport at 5 a.m. Thus I did not see the grounds as there is no outside lighting. One problem with booking via expedia was that the hotel did not know the time of my arrival and we had challenges getting staff to hear us and come to open the entry gate. The room was typical of an older hostel but has been it appears recently developed. There a=was a large private bathroom with space and was well lit and very clean tho without anyplace except right beside the shower to hang anything - no closet or hangers or... The beds were clean and comfortable. They had been changed and everything was fresh tho the room had the odor of a room unused for long period of time. The cost of $110 per night added to the transport set by government at $15 each way to connect to the airport made the stay somewhat more costly and almost worth travelling into Quito. My guess: For this price the hostel should pick up and return their guests to the airport for free. they should have at least a motion activated light for getting around outside and although once booked i had emailed the hostel directly asking for them to pick me up I received no response and they had not checked their email for my previous day email re assistance and time of arrival. Restful, clean and quiet. Spacious compared to other hostels locally but also much more costly. Not worth the 160 cost but twas a clean facility probably beautifully restored - the main hacienda...

Setting is an old hacienda set in a beautiful garden. The rooms feature antiques and hand painted sheets. The gardens are delightful and the small staff was attentive and made us feel at home. We stayed there during a long layover in Quito.

Pablo is a great host. The rooms are comfortable and the food is home cooked. We had a wonderful stay and will come back!
