Water views and wood fires at Sea Wolf cabin

Imagine pulling up at the end of a long quiet drive, walking down a gravel path through the woods, and stepping into a small wood-paneled cabin with a view of Hood Canal stretching out beyond the deck. The wood stove takes off the chill, the kettle goes on, and you settle in.
Sea Wolf is a small waterfront cabin tucked into the woods on the Toandos Peninsula. The deck and living room both face the water, and on a quiet evening you'll hear sea lions barking in the distance, kingfishers chattering along the shoreline, eagles overhead, and the low taps from Bremerton drifting across the canal at dusk. On clear nights, the stargazing is the kind that reminds you what a dark sky actually looks like.
This is a cabin built for slowing down. Mornings are for coffee on the deck, watching the light move across the water. Afternoons are for a hike in Olympic National Forest, a drive to Quilcene for cider tastings at Finnriver, or just sitting with a book. Evenings are for a fire in the stove, dinner from the small vintage kitchen, and the kind of conversation that happens when there's nothing on a screen pulling you elsewhere.
Inside the cabin
The cabin has a retro, lived-in feel: wood-paneled walls, a wood stove, vintage kitchen, and a comfortable layout. There are two full bedrooms plus an alcove with two twin beds -- sleeps 6 in all.

Outside
The deck is the heart of the cabin in good weather, looking out over Hood Canal. There's a metal fire pit in the driveway for evening fires when conditions allow (burn bans permitting), and the surrounding woods are yours to wander.

Finnriver Cidery in Chimacum (about 50 minutes)
Port Townsend (about an hour)
Olympic National Park and Olympic National Forest trailheads
