Ended up calling us after 7pm to tell us the water park is closed the following day after we drove 3 hours to get to the destination, then wouldn’t do anything for compensation at all, told us they would refund us and waive the fees for canceling to “help” us out, we ended up staying because traveling with 2 young kids for almost 7 hours of driving in one day wasn’t worth it, hotel complementary breakfast wasn’t a little disappointing, and the lodge could definitely use some updates, beds are horrible, I will stay at a different hotel before staying here again, very disappointing trip and they clearly don’t care about their customers otherwise they would have done something for us for the inconvenience, nothing like spending a bunch of money to disappoint your children, lesson learned the Great Escape has changed for the worst and will be losing my business
