Mlesna Tea Centre is one of the biggest distributors of tea in Sri Lanka. I wanted to visit because I was intrigued by how its architecture is designed to look like a cute little castle. It was founded by James Taylor, also known as the Father of Ceylon Tea. He started off planting coffee as a trainee, but during the Coffee Blight crisis, switched to planting tea on his experimental plot. This marked the beginnings of the tea industry in Sri Lanka, which was then known as Ceylon. I highly recommend their tea/gift shop, which has a variety of flavours that are delicious. Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage is an orphanage, nursery and captive breeding ground for wild Asian elephants located at Pinnawala village, 13 km (8.1 mi) northeast of Kegalle town in Sabaragamuwa Province of Sri Lanka. Pinnawala is notable for having the largest herd of captive elephants in the world. A photo taken while I was traveling to Badulla in the upcountry railway line. This is the most scenic railway line in Sri Lanka and it's highly recommended. You will find this one in a life lite experience. It is totally 8 hour ride if my memory is good.

Some cool places to get photos in the Royal Botanical Gardens - a pleasant way to spend a few hours. The bats were incredible.
