A 2 hour high altitude hike to this view at 5200 metres. About 2.5 hour drive to get to the starting point. You can also view this area within a 4 day trek which I will do next time.

Nevado Ausangate is considered the holiest mountain in the Cusco Region of Peru. This adventure included a 2-day, 17-mile trek covering two mountain passes at 16,400 feet. The trek was one of the most strenuous hikes I’ve ever done, mostly due to the altitude, but provided some of the most rewarding views I’ve ever seen. If you’re visiting from lower altitudes, be sure to take the time to acclimatize. #Peru #Adventure #Ausangate #Andes
