Rob Roy's Glacier was an impromptu 10km hike in NZ's South Island that we enjoyably completed with our 3 children. I mention that to provide some insight into the level of fitness needed. That being said, my children are active and fairly savvy hikers, so one should still be prepared for a rocky, and at times muddy path. Slippery in some sections, and an extremely varied landscape which changes dramatically whilst passing through the different sections of the track. The finale is this view of Rob Roy's Glacier. This was my favourite walk completed in NZ. It's truly spectacular.
