This silk factory is fascinating and worth a visit. The guide only spoke Italian, but another guest kindly volunteered to translate for us.
We bought a 2 day ticket and spent the first day outside walking along the fountains and English Garden, which we would call an arboretum. Second day touring the palace.
The Royal Palace of Caserta is a former royal residence in Caserta, southern Italy, constructed for the Bourbon kings of Naples. It is one of the largest palaces erected in Europe during the 18th century.

L’Abbazia di Montecassino is a beautiful abbey just a short taxi or bus ride from the town of Cassino. Founded by St. Benedict in 529 AD on the remains of a Roman heathen worship site. Beautiful views of the surrounding towns in Frosinone, Lazio and a ton of history. It was truly a serene experience.
