Wonderful Stay

Such a lovely property - we all had a blast staying here! Our favorite spot was outside listening to the stream. Never knew a place could be so quiet and loud at the same time! Take the time to relax on the porch or down by the water: you won't regret it. Can't wait to stay here again

A gem tucked away in the woods

This cabin and location were exactly what we needed! It is clean, well stocked, and the surrounded property is a dream! The owners were responsive and very helpful! We enjoyed the property and spent a few days hiking local mountains!

Always an amazing stay! So peaceful

This is our second time staying at the cabin and it is always an amazing stay! It is definitely a place to get away from everything and have some peace and quiet. The sound of the creek is so peaceful. We bring our groceries with us and stay on property until our reservation has ended. We do not see anyone while we there and are able to rest and get away from it all with the limited cell service. This place is special. We have never stayed anywhere that compares.

Beautiful hidden gem in the mountains!

We love this place. This was our second visit. It is quiet, secluded, and you have a rushing stream right next to the backyard to enjoy. Plus a fire pit with outdoor overhead lighting. Absolutely magical at dusk. The property is well kept, clean, and cozy. The owners are very kind and friendly, and we always have good communication. It’s about 35 minutes from West Jefferson. In our opinion, the best way to get to West Jefferson from the cabin is to turn right at the metal bridge on Walsh road, then take Benge Ashe to Park Vista, to Idlewild Road, to 163. Map software will try to give you directions that include taking the Blue Ridge Parkway, but that is currently closed in both directions in this area for road resurfacing.This is an amazing vacation place!

Perfect getaway

The cabin and property were amazing and the perfect cozy cabin we were looking for - our dog loved the stream right next to the fire ring. Everything was clean and everything we needed was provided. Will definitely be returning!

Very cozy, comfortable and family-friendly

Beautiful and cozy little log cabin, perfect for our family of 5 and dog! Made it fine over the creek with our 2wd minivan, and found the ride up to the cabin to be like an adventure for our kids aged 7-11 (it’s about 30 mins to town). The beds were surprisingly comfortable, kitchen was well stocked with appliances, and we loved the Christmas tree in the evenings. Also really enjoyed the hot tub and sitting in front of the fire place on cold nights after enjoying winter sports! (Appalachian Ski Resort and Hawksnest Snow tubing each about an hour away. Beech mountain has a free sledding hill too which our Florida-born kids LOVED). The owner of this home was very sweet and a great communicator, also very easy to get in touch with when needed. Home was very clean as well! Kids loved exploring the property, throwing rocks in the creek, and playing Pac-Man on the loft. Plenty to do, and great place to relax and warm-up after a day of activity! Five stars!! Amazing stay!!

Never leave reviews, but this place is great!

The cabin was the perfect balance of rustic and comfortable. The fireplace and open space were cozy, but bright and airy. The remoteness of the property made getting there feel like an adventure, but it was easy and not didn’t require any extra effort or preparation. Everything was exactly as described,

Wonderful mountain cabin

Beautiful, clean property perfect for a mountain escape. Incredibly responsive and accommodating hosts. We stayed here for a long week with four kids (ages 3-10) and our dog. Everyone had a wonderful time exploring the grounds and making camp fires. We would definitely stay here again and have recommended it to our friends.
