"Our stay at this property was a complete nightmare. Upon arrival, we were given a digital code to enter, but the keypad didn’t work—either it had no batteries or was broken. "We loved this house. We only stayed two nights, but I could've stayed here several more days. We had dinner prepared by Lillian before our arrival so we didn't have to worry about going out for dinner that night. It was wonderful and lasted us a couple of days. Raul met us at the house when we arrived and gave a great overview. The highlight was the upstairs porch with the hummingbird feeders. "We stayed in Casa Verde for 3 days while we explored Monteverde. I love the location as it was away from the town but relatively close. We could walk to the Cloud Forest (make sure you get your passes first though). The house itself was well stocked, although it could have used a heat source as it was pretty cold at night. We took advantage of the hot tub which was a nice treat after our day hikes. Highly recommend checking out El Tigre Waterfalls and Selvatura while in the area. "

"Property is as described. It's dated but well cared for. The caretaker is great. PLEASE note. Last few kilometers of road are not paved...we had 4x4's was fine. Closest supermarket is a 40 minute - hour drive. Beach isn't the best for swimming but totally remote and private. We loved this place. "

"This is an outstanding property, I'm glad to say it exceeded my expectations. Paquera CR isn't the tourist mecca, IE an all inclusive. If you want to enjoy CR with a local feel and experience this is a place for you. The owners were responsive to questions and w/recommendations sheet to go. We loved CURU and the wildlife refuge, great hiking trails, great beach.."

"To stay here a car is the best way to go—it’s located on a lovely property a bit outside of Santa Elena proper—not walkable to the Cloud Forest and other things we wanted to do, although only a short drive to coffee tours and a nighttime wildlife tour. The house is beautiful in a very contemporary Latin American style. Nice pool, but it was a bit rainy when we were there and sun breaks did not correspond well with when we wanted a dip—but we can’t blame the hostess for that "

"Las habitaciones no estaban tan limpias, me refiero a la bañera, no nos cambiaron los paños, tuvimos q llamar para pedir cambio de toallas. En el buffet, en dos ocasiones nos tocó mesa con mantel sucio y sin servilletas de tela. Creemos falta variedad en las carnes y los postres no estuvieron con buen sabor, demasiado comerciales. Por lo demás el área de piscinas y los show. Estuvieron muy bien. "
