Don’t plan on going back
The location was great and the property manager was fine but not very friendly. The air conditioning went off twice. There were small bugs on tables and bed. View out of bathroom window was of rooftop with garbage all around. Got one towel each. Sewer smell. Put drain freshener in commodes to mask smell. Door to roof would not close.

We think Roger was a good guest, however, we completely disagree with some of his comments, this property is very close to the beach so insects can be expected, especially during this season, there is always spray available in the house, however, we are not sure if Roger was aware of that. Regarding the AC, most short-term rentals experience ups and downs with the electricity, and that can affect home appliances, they are not often, but they can happen, that is why we have a ground team that takes care of the issues if they present, and our response time is usually less than 30 minutes. We always provide two sets of towels per guest, home towels and beach/pool towels, so if a set of towels is missing, all the guests need to do is let us know so we can solve the issue immediately, and the same with everything else. Finally regarding the smell, please note the water in the area is rich in minerals, especially sulfur, and sometimes even clean water can smell a bit funny, but is completely safe for dishwashing and cooking, although bottled or filtered water would be recommended for drinking. So this is the reality of most short-term rentals in Punta Cana, beautiful properties, with character, close to the beach, etc. but they are not five-star hotels and will never be, and some guests really like that and some don’t, like Roger.

Probably shouldn't be a superhost. 15 days to experience it. 10 things you should know.
1. Superhost extremely difficult to connect with.After searching we found it is really just the team from Everything Punta Cana. We got to know the maintenance Team.2 Nocredit cards and venmo instructions are bad. Poor enough it was enough for me to ask VRBO if it was legit! 3. Pictures are from at least 8 years ago, so be warned. 4. They do not show the abandoned property next door that is a trash dump and occupied by plenty of naked men taking showers from the water sytem in the open. We asked and eventually got a window taped up and a shade so we didn't have to look at it. 5. View from top is accurate as long as you look left, not right. 6. Both AC units broke( this was mentioned in an earlier review and clearly not fixed) btw, both still require refrigerant. 7. Fridge was broken, they repaired it but broke about 10 days later. 8. Because you pay electricity. The charges were outrageous given you are paying for systems that simply cannot operate efficiently. Even after a laughable 30% discount. 9. Be aware there will be a strong sewer odor if the place isnt rented for awhile and does return. 10. The "superhost" people dont own the building ,we get that,so they do their best under the orders of their boss. Do not expect any discussion about moving you to a better place or comping you even if you start asking right away. A 5% discount from the checkout person on the 14 th day, for future bookings..really? Be aware VRBO allows the host to dispute then block this review.

Dave, thank you for your review! I am sorry your experience was not the best in our place. I don't need to dispute your review because your opinion it's important to us. Please check below our opinion too: 1- My contact information is at your disposal in our Host profile. Me and my team make sure to provide our guests the information needed for a smooth check-in and my greeter was always a phone call away to attend your needs. I'm not sure how it was difficult to communicate with us. 2- Since the beginning we informed you about our payment methods, you accept it and decided to confirm your reservation. As you saw, it was safe for you because we always follow VRBO rules. 3- We explained to our guests, some photos of the condo in the photo gallery were made by a professional photographer with a professional camera: illumination and color tones may be slightly different from the real ones. 4- That information is not related to our property, in our listing and with our guest we are not able to inform about other buildings or properties. We know this is uncomfortable for our guests, so we ask security to prevent this type of situations in the building where our property is located. 5- Can you please explain this point more? 6- Thank you for informed my team about this issue, we appreciate you communicate with us to give us the opportunity to find a solution and fixed them during your stay. After your check-out, we programmed a deep inspection with our technician to guarantee AC will be working for the next reservations. 7- Please remember your reservation from the beginning was for 7 nights. I know you want to share your opinion, but please make sure to share an accurate information. 8- The electricity is charged according your consumption, we took pictures at meter readings during check-in and check-out with you. You were clear all time about that, the bill just proved the ACs were working. They reheated for the use but were working. We gave you a discount to avoid you spend more in your budget, but please note we do not have any profit for electricity payment. The money you did not pay us, we need to pay from our pockets to Electricity company. 9- Please note we worked in the pipes in our building to avoid this bad odor, but that smell was not coming from our building. As you said, we don't own the building. This is a small family business and we do not have unlimited resources. Each discount we give you comes out of our pocket. We wanted to help you enjoy your trip to Punta Cana, we will love to see you again in our property so you can see all changes and improvements we did to offer a better experience to our guests.

Great host and staff, great communication, good price. The AC was mediocre, overall it was good, not great it’s a bit dated. Bottom line I’d choose a different place next time

Please note every three months we remodel our place. Ocean breeze is amazing for our guests health and at the same time destroys the property easily. Based on your comments, we start some repairs before the three months to guarantee our guests will find an updated place and enjoy the beauty of our property. We appreciate your suggestions and we will love you give our property a second chance to know the changes and improvements we did. Hope to see you again in the future!

Great location!
Wonderful property in an amazing location. Communication with property manager was excellent. I provided security deposit for electricity, the entire week was only $37. Would come back again!

Why did I get married podcast
If you’re wanting to be in Punta Cana away from resort life right on the beach but still feel safe and comfortable, this is the perfect place for a couple or a couple traveling with a child. Everything is clean, the host Sergio was very friendly and easy to communicate with. The owner is great. There is a $300 usd deposit only used for whatever electric that you use. We stayed for 1 week and used the air as we would at home and as well as the fan. Our bill was only $98 which is very fair. I was given back my remaining balance and the staff are very easy to tip because they are so helpful. We are here looking for a place to live and record our podcast and this place had the best view of the ocean. There are many restaurants/bars/stores in the area. I would recommend Kats corner for breakfast or lunch, they have frozen fresh juice which was awesome. Many neighborhood men who may ask for you to shop with them, they are ALWAYS FRIENDLY AND POLITE but it’s totally up to you if you say no it’s fine. I said yes to a few and no to a few but it’s never any issues in this wonderful area of Punta Cana. The place is on the top level with private rooftop area large enough to really enjoy. Awesome views all around. Building next door have small construction but never did it bother us. Refrigerator may be only small issue but it did it’s job. 5 star by far.

Beautiful Location, Excellent Service
Everything was above and beyond what we expected. The location of this condo is perfect. A few steps to shopping, bars, the beautiful ocean and amazing restaurants. The food in the area is delicious. We stayed for our 20th anniversary, and it was a dream come true. I thought we'd end up spending a fortune on electricity, but it was significantly less than expected. Vasiliy is wonderful. Always responsive and made us feel welcome and safe. We booked our excursions through him and he was on top of it all. Highly recommend!!!
