Great Spot for a Vacation

We had a party here with a bunch of friends, and it did not disappoint. The staff was great, Nelson, the on-site manager took care of us and the food was fantastic from chef Danny and the portions were huge! Our group did the all inclusive packages, and it was well worth it. Communication with the off-site villa manager was a little tough. Transportation from the airport took about an hour because he had the wrong times of our arrivals (even though I sent the arrival times twice), and we were never really sure exactly how or when the excursions were getting booked. However, all of it turned out fine and we're a pretty easy group to deal with.

Great Vacation, Great Staff

Very welcoming stay! We loved the interaction with the staff. They were on it from the time we arrived. I was in communication with David a couple days before and throughout our whole stay. And Nelson was on point throughout our whole stay. And Jose the chef, food was delicious. Also anything that we needed in the house, the ladies were there to assist us the whole time.

Great Place Great Staff

The cooks and the staff were perfect; extremely warm, and funloving. We were introduced to a new food item every day, and the servings were plenty. We always had too many leftovers. We selected the villa to celebrate my Mother's 70th birthday, and the space was ideal for a small birthday dinner and celebration. The day of the party went without any issues, and the additional staff were extremely helpful and added to the ambiance of the night. Our only issues were related to communication and responding to some utility issues. The internet, the cable, and the air conditioning in the primary bedroom were spotty. The internet did not work throughout the property, the cable did not work almost the entire time we were there, and the beautiful primary bedroom AC quit on my parents on the 3rd or 4th day. They eventually addressed the internet issue, and someone came out to fix the cable issues, but it only worked in certain rooms. Unfortunately, my parents did not tell me about the issue with the AC until almost 2nd to last day. Otherwise, I would have informed the property manager when dealing with another room with AC issues. Overall it worked for us, so we were content.

We rented the Lake View Villa for a 12 person bachelorette party in March and the property was absolutely gorgeous, exactly as described and unbelievably clean. The staff & chef were all so kind and helpful and the food was delicious every day. Would highly recommend!

Awesome Property, Awesome Staff, Excellent Service!

This property is a MUST rent. We had our wedding at this property and it was Beautiful. The entire staff was great. Mariana made sure the wedding activites (vendors) was very well coordinated and was extremely attentive to our every need. The maids were awesome, the chef prepared fabulous meals everyday. I cannot wait to rent another property from the Palmera Group.

Great Stay

Hosted a long weekend with a group of buddies. The house was gorgeous and the food was great. I thought the yard would be bigger based on the pictures, but regardless it was still plenty big to play kanjam, corn hole and through the football ...although we lost the frisbee to the pond think twice. The other complaint is that the sheets could’ve been a bit cleaner for the premium price we paid to be in the DR. That said, those were the only two complaints I can think of. There were more than enough amazing attributes to the house/trip that outweigh my complaints that give me reason to say it’s a 5 star stay. Everyone said it was the best trip they’ve had. Mariana was great.

Perfect for a golfers trip with 8 people. 8 bedrooms and hosts were very accommodating. The house beautiful right on a golf course in the Cocotal gated community. Maid service was great and the chef prepared our meals perfectly. Your stay at this villa will be very enjoyable.

Well appointed home and amazing staff members

Lake View Villa is simply fabulous! It’s located in a gated community that sits on a golf course nestled in a cul-de-sac. There was enough parking for our 6 rentals to maneuver in and out with ease. The property houses an indoor dining area suitable for 14, a screened outdoor dining area for 14 and a patio table for at least 10 - poolside. There is a large common area, cable TV and a fully stocked bar (additional charge) to further fulfill the comforts of home. Each bedroom has cable TV and WiFi is strong throughout the entire house. The property is what it says it is and more! The staff wasn’t staff at all… they treated us like family and at the end, it was very somber just like having to leave family. On our first day, we were greeted by Marianna and she took care of our every need - from booking in house massages to reserving our excursions, recommending things to see and places to eat if we desired. We, however; didn’t need much outside of the house. Chef Eduardo is MAGNIFICENT! He made sure we were never hungry and took into account all dietary needs. The meals he prepared were not only beautifully plated, but absolutely delicious! Our rooms were freshened daily, with towel and bed linens changed every three days. We cannot say enough about the atmosphere, consideration, assistance and engagement that we enjoyed with them. If you are looking for an expansive yet cozy, family environment, look no further- this is your place. We miss them already!

Lake View Villa + Staff = Perfection in Paradise

A group of 16 adults stayed here for nearly a week and had the most incredible experience. Our onsite concierge, Mariana, was fabulous and literally a superstar - she did anything and everything to make our stay amazing and memorable. Additionally, the onsite Chef and assistants were fantastic. The meals were unbelievably delicious, very well prepared and always served on time based on our group's schedule. They are all accommodating and will ensure all guests have the best experience. Also, Saona Island is a MUST excursion - it is paradise! I highly recommend Saona Island as a private excursion if you have enough people or the numbers. It does take a full day but it is worth the adventure! The pool and hot tub were alway pristine, as were the facilities at the villa. I would definitely recommend this villa or any property by Group Palmera!!! THANK YOU for the experience of a lifetime!

Hands down one of the Best places for a Bachelor Party

We had a group of 16 guys for a bachelor party (March 7-11). Everything from our first email with the owner (Anders) to our experience at the Villa was exceptional and exceeded our expectations. Booking: Anders and Bodil were extremely helpful in booking and confirming our stay. We delivered the funds via bank wire and the funds were promptly confirmed. We made special accommodations to bring a party speaker which was allowed. The Villa: Is exactly as pictured but even nicer in person. The views of the pond and the golf course are stunning as is the landscaping in the entire gated community. The community is extremely safe with tight security. The community also allows golf, tennis and other facilities on site. Every room was clean and as pictured. Very comfortable and well laid out. The Villa is constructed in a very nice layout. The Dinner area is screened and outdoors which is perfect for breakfast/lunch/dinner. The Hot-Tub and pool are great although the pool is not that deep it is still awesome. (A much larger pool exists in the golf course that is available). Across the street to the community is a strip mall featuring branded outlets. They are not discounted (typical tourist prices) however they are very nice and worth walking over. About a 10-15 minute walk from the Villa. Also, the beach is about 5-10 minutes away in car, but the Jellyfish restaurant which is beachfront has a shuttle (Just ask Jose to arrange the shuttle). We also ate at the Jellyfish restaurant which had great seafood. The Staff: The moment we arrived at the Villa we were greeted by Jose the manager. Jose remained key to our enjoyable stay as he arranged excursions/trips and food/snacks etc. Basically anything we required, Jose delivered. He was great at recommending things to do and places to visit in or around DR. When we initially booked, we decided that we would not require a meal plan. Upon further research into the area and noting that restaurants were not in walking distance we decided to go with a meal plan.All 16 of us agreed that every meal prepared by Chef Bertrand was very high quality and restaurant like. Unlike resort food, the food had flavor and was of great quality. Everyday we were given different meals (seafood, chicken, steak, ribs, pastas, rice, etc.) Also, Chef Bertrand prepared desserts like Creme Brûlée! The maids were also very kind and kept the house clean. Everyone that stayed enjoyed it very much. We will be returning. AMAZING STAY!

An Outstanding Vacation Destination

I traveled to the DR with 15 of my friends to celebrate my 40th Birthday. I started planning this girls trip a year before arrival and the house manager, Bodil, did an outstanding job over the course of 12 months helping me with important decisions to ensure a successful trip. We have never stayed at such a wonderful house!!! The online description is extremely accurate. The house and surrounding property is very serene, clean and is furnished with everything vacationers might want. We were able to have our professional photoshoot at the house and the pictures are perfect with the beautiful villa in the background. The staff is top notch - Butler/House Manager -Jose and Bodil, Chef - Bernard and Maids - Maria. The staff was such a joy to work with and very accommodating. Bernard created amazing food for my cocktail hour, a special six course dinner and cake for the birthday party. I could go on and on about the service and how much I enjoyed all of the staff. Bernard was in the kitchen all day preparing wonderful meals. Jose ensured we had transportation and he exceeded our expectations. The bedrooms are perfect and the beds are comfortable. What more could you want. I also had positive online interactions with the owner and financial manager. For those wanting to just get away from it all and rest, this house would be great. We have recommended this house to family and friends. In summary, I cannot say enough about this wonderful vacation home away from home. EPIC!!!

A 4 night trip with 15 of my friends and family for a bachelor party/golf trip to the Lakeview Villa was simply not enough time, we are already planning our return trip ASAP. I did not expect that organizing a trip with this large of a group would be so easy. Helena & Bodil were outstanding and made sure everything was taken care of, explained and follow up on prior to our departure. My friends thought I was some sort of expert trip planner, little did they know, I had the best coordinators taking care of us. I thought we were in pretty good hands before the trip...I had no idea it would get even better once we arrived and met the Lakeview Villa staff! From arrival to departure we were provided with the best private luxury experience hands down! Chef Bertland's meals were absolutely amazing, he catered to all of our needs, even as going as far as making sure we have extra lunch and dinner left over each for late night trips to the kitchen. The Sunday BBQ spread to watch the NFL playoff games was truly epic, the only time I will taste wings that good, is when I go back to Lakeview Villa to get some more of Chef Bertland's food. The maids were extremely nice, made us feel very welcome and at ease. Jose, the villa manager was the trip MVP. Anything and everything we asked him for, was happily taken care of. He helped organize all of our tee times, and at a moments notice since it was hard to leave poolside in this luxurious villa. Jose even went as far as reaching out to me after we checked out, later that night, to make sure everything went OK with the group getting back home safely. You can't teach Jose's customer service, he's the best on the island!! epic views, epic food, epic service, do yourself a favor and book a trip asap to Lakeview Villa, you will NOT be disappointed.

Expert staff + beautifully appointed house + sunshine = great vacation!!!!!

The 7 fellas golf trip has called Lake View Villa our base for the past three years. There's a reason why we keep coming back and staying here. The combination of very comfortable rooms, a spacious house inside and outside, a staff that is attentive to every need, and a chef who will thrill even the most discriminating pallet makes this an experience worth enjoying. Since our last visit, Sonos was added making the sound experience inside and outside even more integral to the experience. Next year we are back to 8 guys and will be comfortable and spoiled, just like we want. A must stay for groups or families!!!
