Awesome location, close to airport and marina

The property is as advertised and pictured. Very charming house in great location. Self check in option while nice since we arrived late was great. BUT, property manager insisted on meeting us in person which caused us to have to alter plans and or miss out on valuable vacation time. Making ourselves available to property manager (who showed up late) was very inconvenient. We had already missed one day (Thanks United) and now found ourselves scrambling to accommodate property managers request for in person meeting. Which, by the way was to try and get a credit card from us to cover any damages to property??? That was a new one for me and my VRBO stays. I had purchased insurance so I just showed her that and she left it alone. And she wanted to meet again for check out. I just left, I wasn't in the mood to deal with her again.I hate to leave a bad review, so please keep in mind this review is solely based on the interruption to our schedule. The property is great, and the communication was excellent. Just too much communication in regards to meeting us in person.

Great property- but broken water heater

We really enjoyed the house. Location and water views are wonderful! The hot water heater was broken and was never fixed! The maintenance was off that week? No hot water to wash dishes or ourselves for six days was frustrating. The rest was great. They did give us a discount..but we would have preferred an effort to fix the issue.

A Dream

We loved our stay at Villa Vahinetua. This property has everything you need for a wonderful stay in Tahiti. The ocean lagoon front location is amazing, with easy access to the lagoon from the private dock and paddle boards and a kayak provided. The private pool is so refreshing and the private sitting area is comfortable and a great place to enjoy daily sunsets. The villa is very comfortable and has everything you need. The communication and support from the property managers (Tahiti Homes) is great. We’d definitely stay here again!

Beautiful ocean view from the beautiful deck

Home is decorated so nice in local decor. House had everything we needed. And we were close enough to airport and other sights, grocery stores and restaurants. Comfortable and best place was on back deck with ocean views, including sunsets and great snorkeling!

Amazing house, with the perfect view

We had a fantastic stay! Laina made the check in process and overall stay, easy and straight forward. She gave us great recommendations which made our trip to Tahiti even better. I cannot recommend this place enough, the deck and dock make for a perfectly relaxing, ideal stay. The air conditioning in the bedrooms works great. The kitchen is well stocked so great for nights in. I do recommend renting a car for your stay, it makes getting around much easier as nothing is really in walking distance (other than Blue Banana, a must try restaurant). Overall, highly recommend staying here! We had an amazing time and spent 80% of our stay on the deck.

Waterfront Shell Villa

After flight cancellations and delays, we were relieved to finally arrive at Villa Vahinetua. Thank you Herehia for your patience and responsiveness. The walk on the beautiful tropically landscaped path to the front door gave us a hint to how special our week would be. We spent most of our time on the back deck eating, swimming, and just enjoying the spectacular view of the water and the island of Mo’orea in the distance. I have named the house the “Shell Villa” because of all the shells adorning mirrors, pots, lamps, and frames. The shells along with photographs of beautiful native Tahitians gives the villa a unique Polynesian feel. The air conditioned identical master suites with very comfortable beds were a needed respite when the rest of the house became very hot in the afternoons. Staying in the Puna’auia area was convenient to restaurants, grocery stores, and beaches. We found the best snorkeling at Vaiava Beach, also known as Pk 18. Instead of going directly to Mo’orea and Bora Bora after arriving in Papeete, stay in Tahiti for several days to appreciate all the island’s natural wonders and culture. The “Shell Villa” is a perfect place to stay for your introduction to amazing French Polynesia.

A Few Days In Paradise

We loved our stay at this property. Everything from the gated drive to the tropical garden for a yard was spectacular. We got to see the geckos in the garden every day as well as the vanilla trees and tropical flowers. The neighborhood was mixed with locals and guest homes. There are a number of very good local restaurants within walking distance from the house. The open air design adds to the romantic atmosphere. It was great to be able to sit at the pool after dark drinking Mai Tais from the kitchen and listening to the surf pounding the reef out about half a kilometer and looking at the Southern skies. The facilities were top notch as were the amenities in the entire house. The photographs on the walls are spectacular as is the artwork and decor throughout the house. We would love to know where the photographs came from. The decor really sets this property apart from any we have stayed at in the past. We had a car rented which we used to drive completely around the island to see the various sights recommended in our guidebooks. Check in and out was in person and was very efficient and simple. I would definitely recommend this property to someone wanting to have a good base for exploring Tahiti without having to stay in busy Papeete.

Amazing home with great deck/view/pool

The house itself is great and extremely well equipped. We didn't miss anything cooking, and eating at the deck during sunset is to die for. The deck is fantastic - sun all the time, tons of space, private pier to step into the water or set off on kayak/paddle board. There are not a ton of fish close to the house, but you will see smaller stingrays and different fish. We had a great time and would not hesitate to come back!

Perfect in every way

We stayed about a week at this amazing house in Tahiti. Best ocean front house in the best neighborhood on Tahiti. Alexandra and Francine did an amazing job at welcoming us and making us feel right at home from the get go. We can't wait to come back and stay at that house again. A+ all the way. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
