I’ve had to calm myself down before writing this because of how strongly negative this experience was. This is my fourth time to Puerto Vallarta in 4 years and this experience has been a severe letdown. This booking was hugely falsely advertised, and I feel very taken advantage of for the amount of money I paid and I’m requesting a refund.
To begin with, the transportation promised by the host was a blatant falsehood. Instead of the agreed-upon GMC Suburban, we were met with a significantly inferior Hyundai Elantra, despite paying the quoted $75.00 USD. This deceitful bait-and-switch tactic is utterly unacceptable.
Adding to the false advertising, the photos presented on the VRBO listing bore no resemblance to the reality we encountered upon arrival. The absence of advertised features such as rugs, additional chairs, and a bedroom TV, along with the presence of broken tiles in the spare bathroom, is indicative of a deliberate attempt to mislead customers (see attached pictures). The suite was sterile and lacked any semblance of the homely atmosphere portrayed in the images, constituting a clear breach of trust. There was no additional beach towels, bedding, emergency contact numbers as most other hosts have provided.
One night the headboard fell, and it just added to how negative the experience was. It was just hammered into the drywall and not even on actual studs...
There is a limit of what I can write so I will send the rest in a separate email.
