The location was perfect for us. Easy to walk everywhere we wanted to go and access to Taxi super convenient. The condo was clean and well appointed and the VIEW exceeded expectations. It was our first time to PV and we are already planning our next visit. Would stay here again.

The beach is right there, you open the door and all you see is the ocean, the beach and a couple of palm trees below, and the swimming pool and deck immediately below. Well appointed condo, great balconies, walking distance to everything, and a nice quiet facility with a limited number of suites.It was perfect

Awesome and the best location but…

This is a great place and an even greater location. Lots of option in PV so we’ll try another place next time. Only thing I didn’t like was the bed linens were very cheap and very old. Not at all what you should get for 600 a night. I have a vrbo and I’d never ask a guest to sleep like that. So, bring your own linens and have a blast. And owner, please train your housekeeper to clean glass and don’t ask us to squeegee it! Nuts for the price.

Fantastic property -- great apartment layout, right on the beach, short walk to PV points of interest, excellent restaurants nearby (such as Tacon de Marlin for favorable shrimp burritas) and fantastic sunsets from the apartment's balcony or the rooftop at Los Cuatro Vientos. Highly recommend the property.

Lack of amenities

The owner was very clear that there would be no condiments, but the reality was still very disappointing, and made eating in difficult. In addition, there was no aluminum foil or any other packaging like sarin wrap or wax paper, etc. The highlight was the "concierge", Rosa, who was very helpful. The instructions we received once we had secured the reservation stated that there would only be one roll of toilet paper in each bath and one roll of paper towels. Indeed this was true, but every place we have ever rented in over 25 years, world wide, has had extra toilet paper and papertowels available. (and the paper towel roll left was not a full roll.Hot water ran low after 5 min in the shower. There was no shampoo or any other small toilet items that we have always had in other rentals just to start off the stay. We would suggest that the kitchen sink faucet be replaced as it is quite old and splashes water everywhere.

Ideal Location

Chirstmas Vacation

We stayed in this property over the Christmas Holiday and had a great time. Because of flight issues we ended up arriving a day late, so we ended up arriving on Sunday and Rosa was there to meet us even though it was her day off. Paulette the Property Host was responsive to any of our requests and was always available when we texted or called her. The location of this property is perfect. Right on the beach in the middle of the Centro Zone. You can walk everywhere. Romanitca Zone is a mile to the south. The Marina is 3 miles to the north. Tons of restaurants and shops all around. The grocery store is right around the corner. Its a good spot. We had 6 adults and it was a bit small for all of us. I feel this property is ideal for 4 adults. It had the essentials needed but lacked a few things like hairdryers, ice chest to take down to beach. Enjoyed our time here.

This is an absolutely lovely property in the best neighborhood. We were thrilled to see the sunset from the main balcony while the full moon rose over the hills from the 2nd bedroom balcony. Magic. If you love to hear the surf while you sleep, this is your place.

Prime location and well-maintained property

We had an amazing stay at Puerta al Mar for six days. The condo was very clean and relaxing. You can hear the peaceful waves crashing from the apartment. Condo was in a prime location in 5 de diciembre. The Malecon is only 15 minutes by foot, and there are wonderful restaurants all within 5-minute walk. The property has friendly attendants available as your concierge, and I was able to make arrangements with Paulette to have pick up to and from the airport. We wish we could have stayed longer!

Perfect location!

We loved our stay! Spectacular sunsets, amazing (heated) pool which was a real treat to return to after a long day of adventures. So close to the Malecon that everything is right outside your door. We loved the sound of the waves, even when the windows were closed it was like sitting right on the beach. Sharing the events of the day with other guests made it even more special. The apartment was as represented with everything we needed, and for the price point it just couldn’t be beat. Will definitely be back!

Absolute Gem!

The place is absolutely charming. Only 8 condos in the property so no rush at the (heated) pool. Just open the property door and you are right there on the beach. The master bedroom has a balcony overlooking the beach, perfect for the apéro. It’s a quiet area of the beach, away from night clubs, although walking distance from everything, malecon, centro and romantic zone. Super friendly staff Rosa and Jorge are at your service. If you have the chance of seeing this place available, don’t hesitate, jump on it!

Perfect spot right on the ocean. Great staff that was attentive and friendly. Condo was spacious enough and clean. Great restaurants and grocery store nearby. Walkable to Malecon and Zona Romantica. Perfect location first timers in PV

View and location perfect for exploring the area and being able to walk to everywhere, perfect for a first visit. Condo was secure. Paulette was quick to assist when we arrived earlier then the flight details I provided, we were picked up quickly from the airport. Rosa at the desk was helpful any time we had questions or needed a taxi. Jorge (I think) the maintenance man was helpful talking loungers to the beach. I would say my only annoyance, which was not worth complaining about at the moment and didn’t affect our stay was David the night security. At first he seemed like an older man that was looking for someone to chat with. He mentioned how some people didn’t want to be bothered. We quickly got the hint he was making sure we tipped him. We tipped everywhere we went & always do. Our last night coming back was about 11pm, he greeted up but blatantly asked us if there was an envelope in our condo with his name on it and proceeded to ask us if we could go get it & bring it to him, which we did not. Clearly he meant his tip. As we went up the stairs & processed this I was pretty ticked at this. Which then made me start questioning why we were expected to tip him at all. He showed us how to use the code & the door, and told us how to get to a restaurant he recommended (which we did not wind up making it to) which was nice but all the info was in the email. I felt it was very rude. We did wind up leaving him something but to be honest not sure why after that encounter.

Safe and clean 2 bedroom and 3 bathroom unit on the third floor and right on the beach with beautiful views. Pool and beach were great as were all the staff at the condo. Easy walk to the malecon. Excellent Location and Awesome Views

We loved our stay. The locations is so convenient, restaurants, bars, Malecón only 4 blocks away. Beautiful sunset views from the balcony. The beach is clean and perfect for kids to play. There are activities all around. I highly recommend this place to stay. We had a blast. Don Jorge, Rosa and Don David made us feel welcome and safe. The pool is heated so it was a plus for my child. We enjoyed a delicious bbq on the terrace next to the pool with the ocean view. I can’t tell you enough about this I lace and its LOCATION.

No what I had expected

The furniture of this condo was terrible. All the beds were hard as rock. The sofa only held 2 people, there was no comfortable spot to lounge. Non of the outside patio doors locked. The owner did try to have them fixed but they to be replaced. We felt very in safe. The closets rods need to be secured as you move your clothes over and it all comes falling down. The blinds fell when closing them. The area in which this condo is located is not mean for the elderly, as the sidewalks are very in even I believe this place could be better with a lot of TLC . Do not recommend this place

Great Getaway!

My wife, myself and our 1.5 year old daughter spent a week at the property for our first family vacation (and first vacation post covid!). The location of this property is amazing - so many great restaurants within walking distance - do your research before hand as there's so many great spots! We needed a place that had enough room for us to put our daughter to bed and still enjoy the evenings without waking her up and this location was perfect - lots of room and an incredible balcony where we spent our nights watching the sunsets, listening to the waves, playing games and drinking wine. The description of the property was very accurate and it would be difficult to beat the ocean views no matter where you stayed! We didn't notice any noise at night and the bed was comfortable, as was the temp in the unit. The depth and temp of the pool was great and the beach was well taken care of (our daughter loved spending the mornings in the pool and walking along the beach). Martha and David are really friendly and helpful - Martha arranged taxis for us, set-up umbrellas on the beach and made local calls to get information we needed / recommended restaurants. The host was great with communication and helped us with some last minute changes to our itinerary! We used the shuttle service which although quite expensive compared to the prices we paid for taxis, was very convenient and our driver was very friendly and punctual. He stopped at a Walmart on the way to the condo from the airport so we could pick up groceries and other necessities. My only suggestions for improvement (minor) would be for the unit to have a few more of the staple type items on hand for guests to use (laundry detergent, cooking oil, coffee, shampoo/conditioner) and the hair dryer likely needs to be replaced with a model that has a hot air setting. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and made a lot of great family memories - definitely recommend and if we ever find our way back to PV wouldn't hesitate to stay again!
