Everything we'd hoped it would be! If you've read any of the other reviews, you'll see a common theme: the location. It is simply perfect. Direct beach access and everything is in walking distance. If you're looking to experience it all, this is the place to be. Rosa and Jorge were super helpful and made the stay easy. This was our 4th time in PV but our first time not being in a resort and I think we've been converted! Will definitely look to return to this exact rental next time we head to PV.

The location of the apartment was amazing! Very close to some excellent restaurants, a great grocery store, and right on the beach. The location makes this apartment worth it over everything else. I only have two negatives to share: 1) The air conditioner wasn't working in the upstairs room, which made the room unusable for 3 of our 7 nights there and they didn't offer to compensate us for this inconvenience at all. The air conditioner is now fixed and works well, but sleeping on the pull-out couch for three nights was miserable. 2) In the welcome communication, she is very adamant that running the air conditioner is expensive and if you run it excessively, you will be charged for the cost. This looming over us every time we wanted to use the A/C was annoying and added an element of having to care too much on our vacation. If what we paid for the apartment doesn't cover the cost of using the A/C as much as we like, then I don't know what would.Otherwise, everything was as described in the listing and ultimately we would stay here again if we come back to PV.

March spring break week Exceeded Expectations

We spent 8 days here in March. A great view from every balcony. You feel special staying here with a private beach area, chairs and umbrellas provided. We could spend all season here watching the sunsets and the cruise ships traveling in and out of port. Seen whales swimming near the shoreline on two different days. Excellent staff and host. We will stay here again.

Beautiful View

The views from the balconies were unbelievable. The staff were incredible. Sara was as sweet and helpful as could be. The travelers in our party were my husband 78, my tia from Hatch, NM, 77. She had never been to PV. I am 69 and my husband and I are frequent visitors, my daughter 46, is also a PV visitor and my daughter in law 43, who had never been to PV. I fractured a rib on the plane. I spent my days and nights listening to and looking at the sunsets from my bed. The girls were champs. They went to Costco and bought food, etc so we(I) could eat while there. It's an incredible place. I left my medical equipment there. Paulette was a champ and had Sara ship it to me.

The condo was perfect location. Easy access to all the sights. The sunsets spectacular. Our own beach! Tacos and taquila areound the corner. We highly recommend the tasting room around the corner. Calmate cafe for breakfast up the street. Rosa, Jorge, Ceasar and Erick were so kind and helpful. Rosa helped us to plan and register our tours. Highly recommend this location. Clean and comfortable.

Best Time Ever

We stayed 5 nights…. Rosa and the on_staff crew were great!…. Lots of local restaurants to choose from. And all the Mexican foods including fruits and vegetables were fantastic.

Safety Issues

The property has easy access to beach, grocery and restaurants. There is a steep open spiral staircase and a closet with no flooring (like an elevator shaft) that could not be locked. For these reasons, we felt it was unsafe for our 2 year old to stay. The host was contacted and came to PV immediately and said she was addressing these issues along with other concerns.

Awesome Location and Stunning View

We had a great stay at Puerta Al Mar, the condo was beautiful, the view and decks were amazing. The location was perfect, there were plenty of restaurants and amenities right outside our door, and we were a short walk to the Malecon. It was nice to be close, but in an area that was quiet. We really appreciated the staff, they were friendly and helpful. The pool was an especially big hit with the kids, and it was nice to be able to walk right out to the beach.

Great Location

Loved the location of the condo, everything was close by that we wanted to do. Walking to the Malecon or our favorite restaurants. Grocery store close by as well and an OXXO store on almost every corner.

Puerto Vallarta trip

We had a great time. Everything was as noted in the listing. Home was comfortable and spacious. 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. I loved that there were 4 bathrooms. There were 8 of us which meant the 2 boys got stuck on the couch, but we knew that would be the case and it still felt spacious enough. There were multiple decks to enjoy the wonderful view. The staff was wonderful when needed. The pool was small, but we loved that we were often the only ones in it! The ocean was great for swimming and the beach was sandy. We were able to walk just a few blocks for groceries and for restaurants. Check out was easy. The only 2 things I can think to be aware of is spotty water pressure and limited toilet paper!! Overall, it was a great trip!

We had a lovely stay at Paulette's property. The location was fabulous and the staff at the complex were phenomenal. Very kind, professional and helpful. The living area is a bit small and not super conducive to allow for everyone to sit down together but fortunately the weather was perfect so we were able to use the outdoor patio. The pool is a bit shaded which half of our party appreciated and the other half didn't. There was a bit of noise in the front bedroom, the ocean drowned out any street noise from the upper bedroom and oceanside room.

Would stay here again

We enjoyed this property. Nice to have the pool and direct access to the beach. The grounds are maintained well and it’s nice to have someone onsite to help with things that come up. Host was very responsive to issues/questions. I would seek this place out if I ever return to PV. Everything is walkable. The store is a few blocks away and it’s not too far of a walk to the Malecon. Lots of food choices around, all walkable. Nice little bar just down the beach. Only thing to note is that the bedroom at the top of the stairs has no door so you hear every little thing from downstairs. Really only a problem if you’re a light sleeper or are staying with people that have significantly different sleep schedules.

Great Stay!

We had a great stay at this property! The pool & beach were great, bring some water shoes if you have sensitive feet as it can be a little rocky as you get in/out. We enjoyed the views from the balconies & while it was too hot to leave the screen door open, we could still hear the ocean every night. There were a few details that could be fixed/updated but overall it’s a beautiful property! We had geckos in the house every day & I’m not sure how they were getting in but it didn’t bother us, it comes with the climate! Everything was very close to the condo and easy to walk to. The staff was friendly and accommodating and communication with the owner was top notch! We’d stay again!

A wonderful stay at a wonderful condo

Huge oceanfront condo in perfect location in 5 de deciembre neighborhood. Close to everything yet quiet at night. Lovely spacious condo was super comfortable for my multigenerational family. Rosa and David were very helpful. Pauline is a gracious and flexible host. Will stay again! Highly recommended.
