Family vacation

Lovely house, very clean and comfortable. Small, but very nice beach. Excellent staff: Juan was a wonderful chef, Roman was very helpful and made excellent margaritas, Rafa was a great housekeeper and communication with Patricia the host was always easy, and prompt.

Beautiful home in Puerto Vallarta

The home has a lovely open living room with a view of the negative edge pool and ocean. Rooms that all feel like separate suites, except the one behind the kitchen. That one does have its own bathroom and is well suited for kids. a great location and a very pleasant and accommodating staff. Highly recommended and will definitely try and return.

Fantastic Villa

We had a great week long stay with 10 guests ranging from 7 years old to 70. There was plenty of space for a larger group. Just a heads up that the smaller room with 2 twin beds does not work well for young kids as it is a bit isolated from the other rooms and has access to the pool. Not a huge problem but we did end up changing some of our planned room assignments. The rest of the rooms were all very spacious and had great views. We ate most of our meals there and loved everything Juan cooked for us. The mole was a crowd favorite. There were enough leftovers from dinner for some of our lunches as well. Patricia was a great host and helped us arrange transportation to and from the airport along with a few excursions. The rest of the staff were also friendly and helpful. Some of the highlights include whale watching from the pool, having direct access to the beach, and the endless supply of guac and margs served by Roman. Overall a wonderful experience and would stay here again.

Christmas vacation

First off, the staff was amazing! Len, the owner, was easy to talk with prior to our stay. Isela, the property manager was easy to deal with and very helpful. The rest of the staff was amazing. The meals were out of this world. We did not need a car, and the fact that all the shopping was done for us was a major plus. The chef met with us daily to go over what we would like to eat for the next day. We squared the money on a daily basis. The location was fantastic. During our stay, the ocean was way to rough to swim. I'm not sure if this was the time of year or what... On the downside, the property is a bit tired. The pool was out of service for the first week of our two weeks stay. Given the importance of the pool for this property, this was a major disappointment. They got it working for the second week. No compensation effort was made. This was a surprise to me. The towels were old and worn. This too was a surprise for the cost of this property. The outdoor furniture was also old and tired. We were traveling with two infants under 2. There were no "pack and play's" at the property. So, we had to travel with them. Every hotel in the world has these available. Overall, we loved the property, the location and the staff. It could easily be upgraded to a 5-star location, but for now I would rate it as a 4-star location.

Great stay for big groups!

Residence and staff were great! If adults, I think 10 people is probably the max for this property. Otherwise, you have to share full beds or sleep on couches that are not in AC.

trip summary

It is a great property but needs a little long term maintenance. Roof was falling off in places during our stay and the landscaping needed work. Facility was very nice and most everything worked. There were a couple miscommunications that could have been avoided, but the site staff tried very hard to please!

Nice House and Nice Location

Staff were great and meals were excellent. Owner was a pleasure to deal with and accommodated our schedule when Covid flight changes happened. Overall a great experience and we would return. Bonus that the TVs were up to date and we could watch Netflix, Amazon etc at night. WiFi worked everywhere.

Amazing stay!!!

We all loved our stay at Casa Velas!! The staff was absolutely amazing and we have nothing but great things to stay about each of them. Christians food was unreal, and we loved the meals more than some of our dinner reservations!! Rafa was great with keeping the house tidy at all times and made sure we always had clean linens in each of our rooms. We all wish we could have someone like Roman in our lives at all times. Roman was constantly smiling, asking how everything was, and truly cared about our experience at the house. Isela was very helpful with booking our transportation for the weekend, and making any last minute changes we needed to have done throughout our stay. We all wish we could have stayed longer at Casa Velas and would highly recommend booking this property!

A small slice of heaven

This is more then a property, its an experience to indulge the senses. The sound of waves crashing on the beach, the taste and smells of gourmet food being prepared and served, the incredibly infinity pool overlooking the Bay of Banderas, and the views of coastline and ocean. Amazing. I've had the privilege of staying in several fine VRBOs all over the place and this one is by far one of the best I have stayed in. The staff is great, the property managers are very attentive and will respond quickly. I highly recommend Casa Velas.

Amazing Time !! Great Property

What an amazing time in PV! The property was amazing and the view was incredible. The staff was amazing and very accommodating to our every need. Would suggest that more information be added on the Taxi situation to and from property and more clarification on Menu expense per person. Finally , info on tips for staff. We would love to return someday to this property - thanks for having us !

Wonderful stay for family with kids

This is a 4 bedroom large villa with wonderful staff who try to accommodate all your needs. There is a small bedroom in the back of the house for extra people but definitely not as pleasant as all other. The house is very clean and obviously well taken care of. The outdoor spacious patio with infinity pool has spectacular views and a great place to whale watch. We were two families of 4 adults and 5 kids and the house fit us well. We were planning on inviting one more family with us but now glad that we didn’t. Would definitely recommend staying here. Very beautiful villa.

Truly AMAZING!

Casa Velas is a true luxury villa. The perfect place to relax with friends in beautiful lower Conchas Chinas area of Puerto Vallarta! The villa was stunning, sprawling and we loved the traditional Mexican architecture and design. The HUGE main living area and kitchen opened out to a large pool area. The entire villa was open-air which we loved. There were many loungers, chairs and seating areas around the villa. The 4 separated bedrooms were gigantic and made us feel like we all had our own private spaces. The beds had nice linens and were extremely comfortable. We spent most of our time beside the large, warm pool with spectacular views out to the Bay of Banderas. It was fun watching the fishing boats, banana boats, parasailers, etc. It was just a few steps down to the beach and we could walk long distances in either direction traversing some rocks. The villa staff was warm and friendly. Jose Luis was waiting for us to arrive. Chef Rodrigo prepared a wonderful dinner for us the first night only as we requested (there are so many great restaurants in PV, we chose to eat most meals out). Housekeeper Rafaela came to the villa every morning and kept everything neat and tidy, she was very sweet! Roman cleaned the pool for us early every morning and was very unobtrusive. They were all so eager to please and wanted to do everything for us, however we tend to be self-sufficient on vacations and did not require much. We appreciated their warmth and kindness though. Everyone in our group just loved staying at Casa Velas and didn’t want to leave! It was truly a magical experience and we can't wait to return!

Delightful. Loved it!!

It is hard to write a review when you fall short with words any way you try to describe our stay at Casa Velas. We, my family and I, had such a great time. Magnificent, beautiful house, all details all corners, spectacular views , delightful to enjoy, you can hear the ocean waves all the time. The staff was excellent, they would go out of their way to make out stay perfect. Thank you Rodrigo, Roman, Rafaela and Jose Luis. We enjoyed the pool so much, the beautiful colors of the sunsets, we just wanted to be there all day. Just enjoy it. It was hard to leave. We would like to be back soon.

Fun week in Puerto Vallarta

This is a beautiful house with attention to all details. We’re 6 adults and 2 teenagers and everyone had plenty of room, whether seeking privacy or company. Our experience was made even more special by the wonderful staff. They were all extremely attentive and took great care of us. Our meals were delicious (I highly recommend chef Rodrigo’s mole and paella) and always beautifully presented. Sunset margaritas were also a daily treat - gorgeous and right in front of you. From the house it’s an easy walk to Los Muertos via the beach (with some rock maneuvering) or the road. There’s a convenience store and pharmacy right up the road. Everything else you may need Jose Luis can arrange for you. The only negative - and sad part for the property, is the ten plus story building construction across the street. We only had one bad day of loud trucks pouring cement. The others were your typical sawing and hammering, which was mostly muffled by the sounds of waves crashing. According to the staff, the waves seemed to be stronger than usual the week we stayed (end March). A few in our group found it to be too loud for sleep but the others loved it. All in all a great week stay for our group, just check on construction update before you go.
