We enjoyed our 2 month stay here in Fernando's condo at the Grand Venetian. The view of Banderas Bay and the ocean beyond from the 18th floor balcony is very nice. Much better in person than the listing pictures show. The view of the "old town" is blocked by one of the properties other towers, but that provides much appreciated shade on the balcony until mid afternoon. We enjoyed many very nice sunsets during our time here. The condo itself was very functional and had everything required for a comfortable stay. I would describe the apartment as modern, but because the buildings are now more than 10 years old, the apartment is beginning to show some signs of wear.The Grand Venetian has 5 pools (3 are infinitely) and 4 hot tubs. There is also a decent size fitness facility and an onsite outdoor covered restaurant, that also provides pool side service. The property itself is residential, but has a definite "resort" feel. Many of the people around the pools were short term vacation rental guests. From conversations with other vacationers, people love it here and many return year after year for many many years. Fernando responded almost instantly to several very minor issues/inquiries that we had. The self check-in was easy and is our personal preference. The only negative for us was the loud "electronic techno dance music" on the weekends coming from the Beach Club directly across the river. We found ourselves avoiding the balcony (and the apartment) during those hours.
