First, I gave this 5 Star rating because of Gabbi and Luz. They were absolutely amazing. The Food, the cleanliness & attention to my family was someone we had never experienced.
The View is amazing, the pictures don't do justice. I was shocked when we arrived how the view was.
The house is showing it's age, but very clean and presented well. Very well equipped, no worries on not having things to cook with. The common area/Dinning area is large and able to accommodate a large family, we were 10.
The rooms upstairs are spectacular, there was some bug issues at night on the end of our trip. Bring bug spray. I
The Rooms by the pool were great, very humid and can be open air if you wish. The mattress in the one room need replacing, it is like a pile wood sheet.
Overall the sleeping arrangements worked, if you have small children, might be a challenge for you.
There is also a suite below the pool deck, which we never used. Has a Queen bed and Twin bed. Top 2 Rooms in the main house have Queen bed and a double bed. Pool deck rooms has 2 Queen Beds.
The pool is not huge, but for a family of 10, we had no issue with the 4 Kids and a few adults enjoying the pool at one time.
Lastly, Mismaloya is a very small town. You can not buy a lot of groceries locally. All your main items would come from PV. Bus runs every 10 minutes or so, 10 Pesos each and takes about 25 Minutes. Taxi's are about 160 to 200 Pesos, depending on where in PV you are coming from. I would recommend a very large shop the first day. We ended up making multiple trips into PV which could have been avoided.
The quiet and remote location of the Villa is something we enjoyed. Other than some locals up and down the hill, you don't see anyone.
The hill up to the Villa is steep, we trekked it almost everyday. Not always up, but always down. We took cabs up on numerous occasion. If i were to come back, i would rent a car for at least a week of the Trip.
Food in Mismaloya was just as good as in PV, if not better. We ate at Tony's Seafood, El Jachilto and Mismaloya Grill. All very affordable and quality. Mr. Tequila is also a must:).
Great Property, unfortunately, unless your travelling with a large group, it is way to much house for a couple or two to rent.
