Property was beautiful, had great amenities, and was close to town and other adventures. Carmen was an amazing chef, Danny was very friendly and helpful. The staff all together did a great job. We had 4 families of 4 (16 total). Rooms were comfortable and there was plenty of space. Overall a really fun experience!

The property was clean/ the host communicated very well/beach view amazing , pool very nice but is deeper than we thought. But you get used to it. Dinners were very good as well

Our stay here exceeded our expectations. Everything was exceptional: cleanliness, helpful and attentive staff, meals, pool, beach, view, accomodations, and the host was always available and attentive to our needs.

Family Vacation 2024

This was our second stay at Casa Macumba and it won't be our last! We love the location and most importantly, we love the staff! It is our very favorite place to vacation.

A perfect large family or group retreat

The home and its staff are perfect. The pool, yard, beach access and a dream and the entire experience could not have been better!

Wonderful time at this magnificent property…16 of us from 19-87 in age…staff is outstanding and I would recommend Casa Macumba without reservation….quiet peaceful on the water with a beautiful pool…you will love it…would go back in a heartbeat

Best Beach Vacation

This is the most amazing Villa we have ever stayed in. The rooms were beautiful, the views were beautiful, the staff was incredibly gracious and the food was magnificent. The owner lives close by and was very accommodating. We highly recommend Casa Macumba

Wonderful property

Well appointed vacation home with incredible views of the beach and sunsets. The staff were friendly and courteous and the food was top notch. We relaxed, enjoyed watching the children play and loved listening to the sound of the waves. Thank you Blair for being a great host.

Casa Macumba - best vacay ever!!!

Casa Macumba was hands down our fav vacation stay ever. The casa & property is 1st class! The staff is the best of the best. Cleanliness is top notch. The food was unreal. You won't find a better place to gather your family & share unforgettable memories with each other. It's a true paradise!

Rare Beach Front Home in PV

We had a fantastic week. The staff were helpful and delightful. The food was fantastic. We liked it so much we already have booked a return visit. We were a party off 10 adults and 4 Kids. Everyone loved the pool , the beach and the great staff. Thanks all.

Amazing Location, house and staff!

This is our third time at Casa Macumba. Twice with our family of 15 and once with friends..6 couples.We have nothing but rave reviews for Owner, staff and especially location. This is one of the great haciendas left in PV! All modern conciencias with the feel of old Mexico. Plus you will NOT find a better chef than Carmen or house manager than Daniel.Sign up now!

Favorite Family Vacation

We were a group of 10 adults and four children ages 3, 4, 5 & 5.We've vacationed together in Hawaii and at a resort in Nuevo Vallarta previously and we all agree this was our favorite trip. The location and the house were amazing but it was really the staff that made it perfect. They were so accommodating and kind and the food was amazing. By the end of the trip, they felt like family. We highly recommend this place and hope to return in the future!

Absolute perfection

I can’t say enough about our amazing stay at Casa Macumba! We celebrated a milestone birthday with friends and family….Everything was perfect and are so grateful to the staff and owner for tending to every detail. We found that asking for the chef’s choice for meals was a good solution and that all meals were delicious. We look forward to returning in the future.

Paradise

A fabulous week was provided by Blair and his amazing team. The grounds, pool, and spacious rooms were kept in immaculate condition and were exactly as advertised. Carmen created amazing meals beyond expectations and Danny was everywhere providing delicious drinks and whatever else you could ask for. I highly recommend Casa Macumba.

Truly Outstanding Stay

Our stay at Casa Macumba was very special - we were there to celebrate our daughter's (and new son-in-law's) wedding, an intimate, immediate-family-only gathering (11 adults, 3 small children). The setting and the layout of the property were perfect. As other reviewers have said, the staff were attentive to every detail to create an experience we'll remember forever, and Blair (property host) also was very helpful with some spontaneous arrangements during the week. We are already dreaming of a return trip someday...

Wonderful Vacation Villa

This was our first stay at Casa Macumba and we loved every bit of it. There were 11 of us, my siblings/spouses, our dad, and my daughter, ages 48-92. Beautiful beachfront property, very clean and comfortable. The staff was amazing in every way. The food and service was exquisite. We enjoyed the swimming pool, playing in the ocean, walking on the beach, and just relaxing. We stayed next door at Casa Milagro in 2016 and in 2022 which is just as lovely!

Perfect layout, setting and staff

With 7 en-suite bedrooms, spacious open air living and dining rooms and ample outdoor seating, Casa Macumba accommodated our group of 8 adults and 4 children effectively. The host and all staff members were gracious, helpful and professional. Given that food and drinks were delicious, the home steps from the beach, and beach and pool toys and supplies abundant, we did not venture away from this beautiful property.

Grandmothers birthday

Group of 17 people aged 6-70, this is the best place for small kids and elderly. Resort was everything that we wanted, Carmen did great cooking delicious meals for our gluten intolerant kids, Dany was great in making sure our drinks and meals were served to perfection, Leto was always working hard cleaning up, her towel decorations were a hit with the kids. I feel bad because I can’t remember the grounds keeper who was always making sure the place was well maintained. Blair was great to deal with on getting the questions the group was always asking, before and during our stay. We have and will be recommending this place to people we know as it’s a great place to have a family vacation.

Amazing!!! Highly recommend !!!!

Our family had a wonderful vacation here with ages ranging from 6months to 81 and everyone loved it !! The staff and owner were friendly and attentive . Have Carmen make the corn cake !!! Everything she prepared was amazing and yummy !! The layout of the property was terrific - felt like everyone had their own little casita and the pool was perfectly located and the views are spectacular because you are right on the ocean !!

Great stay in Punta Negra!

We had a wonderful time staying at the house! The pool and the beach were wonderful for the kids and adults alike, the rooms were a welcome retreat, and the food was incredible! We also loved the staff - very friendly and helpful. We would absolutely stay again in the future. A few helpful suggestions we wish we knew in advance - the laundry was a service, there is no washer/dryer on-site. We were also ill prepared for how much cash we would need for house meals, groceries, and the tip at the end. Giving an option for electronic payment would be very helpful! Overall though, the house and the experience were a great fit for our family!

Can’t say enough

Have to start with the staff. Danny and the rest of the crew were over the top amazing. Loved being there with them. They did so much to make our stay as great as it could be. We let Carmen choose the daily meals and were never disappointed. We were shocked her BBQ could be that good. The house was way better than expected. Loved how very one had their own room that opened up to the pool. We all felt like we had the best room. The beach was great and quiet enough. I would recommend having Danny take you to the waterfall. Just a 3 mile hike away. We will all definitely be back.

BEST EVER!

What can I say in a few words to describe this lovely place that really could fill a book, but I will try. We were a family ranging from 13 to 84 years old. Every one of us felt it was the best vacation ever. Carmen cooked the most fabulous meals. Letitia kept the house spotless. Daniel, well....he was there whenever we needed anything, including taking my grandchildren on a hike to a waterfall where they all went swimming. Fermin kept the pool and gardens looking beautiful. 10 stars for everything!

An Oasis of Relaxation at Casa Macumba

The Villa was amazing. Blair our host met us along with the facilities manager Fermin to help with luggage, while Danny greeted us with Margaritas The villa has 7 spacious rooms facing the ocean with a living room, dining room and kitchen. Lita along with Lulu kept us clean and tidy, Danny ensured timely meals and beverage service, and Carmen was in the kitchen organizing and cooking amazing meals. While the menu options are vast, we recommend chef’s choice. Carmen did not disappoint. We also appreciated the care in accommodating some of our family with specific dietary needs- gluten and nut allergies. It was a beautiful space that brought us together to play in the sun and ocean, and allow us all to relax during our time in Puerto Vallarta.
