Excellent getaway
Hosts were amazing on getting back to us, we needed a lighter for the BBQ, no problem, kids got swimmers ear, they were able to tell us where the pharmacy is, hospital and if we wanted could even call the doctor to our apartment. The courtesy shuttle runs on DR time, meaning around 10 min all the time but who cares, great little ride to the beach. The on site supermarket closed a few months ago, that was a bummer, taxi to local super market costs you 10 USD. The pool on sight is somewhat misadvertised, you have to pay to get in, we assumed it was free but I guess it didn't say it was free so there you go. The restaurant on site is very good, we found food prices all over a tad high, very similar to back home in CAN, but guess that's fine. Lots of security on site, but honestly didn't feel we needed it, we even walked in to town (don't recommend it though, it's bloody hot!). Local sales guys are less harassing than in Punta Cana, but still there. Excursions expensive as always, but good! Overall we had a lovely time (4 weeks) and would certainly recommend. Hosts superior status is certainly earned!
