"Really warm welcome and chat with Mary - an absolute superstar who helped check us in, even though she had finished her shift! Our room was stylish and comfortable. Breakfast was just right with a variety of fruit, cereals, and breakfast baps. We will absolutely return."

"Hotel opened this week but was far from being ready. No WiFi and no breakfast facility. Room was on 4th floor with no elevator. No air conditioning and impossible to open the window more than a few centimeters. Cheap material and tiny bathroom. It is a real shame it is listed as 4;stars but no indication given of the real state. "

"Gorgeous hotel with lovely, polite & enthusiastic staff! We were upgraded to a fabulous suite & the parking options were great. We loved this unique boutique hotel which has been decorated & designed with care & passion. Local transport was brilliant & Southsea is a hidden blossoming gem which we’ll be back to see next year! We will of course be checking back in to the Clarence or one of its sisters. Thank you for making our stay so memorable x"

"The hotel and the pub are very tired and in desperate need of rlc and upgrade/refurb. Stains on everything from floors to ceiling. Chairs in the room and the bar that should be in the bin. The cleaners do a great job but the whole place needs dealing with. Green King you are better than this. "

"The property is situated in a great part of Southsea, you can get to the beach relatively quickly and there are plenty of attractions around. The property itself is in need of a spruce up and a thorough deep clean, it feels a bit tired throughout. Our children were wearing light coloured socks and due to the hard floors not being cleaned properly, they were all filthy when we left. For a property that sleeps 10, there is only 1 bathroom which was surprising, especially if everyone is trying...

"There was no light on the Holloway. No parking until 7pm. Entrance was not very welcoming. Though house was spacious. "

"Considering the price, we had high hopes for our stay at this house, but unfortunately, we were quite disappointed. Upon arrival, we found the property was not very clean. There was urine left in the upstairs toilet, the downstairs bathroom was dusty with hair around the toilet, and the bath mat had been folded up while still wet. We also noticed a live worm or parasite on the window sill, which was very off-putting. The towels provided, which were left in a pile in the middle room, had an...
