We hosted a 20-person leadership summit at this property. The location itself is absolutely gorgeous and created a great setting for our time together. However, given the price point, the cabin did not meet expectations in several important areas.It felt as though the property hadn’t been checked thoroughly prior to our arrival. We experienced a water leak coming through a light fixture near the entrance to the master bedroom, and there were a significant number of ladybugs in multiple rooms. Additionally, the downstairs lights would periodically shut off. We attempted to reset them using the master switch without success, and then all the lights randomly turned back on at 2:00am.Communication around check-in was also stressful. We did not receive the door code or access instructions until about five minutes before arrival, when the property manager called directly.The hot tub was another disappointment. We had to fill it ourselves with a hose and weren’t able to use it until two days into our four-night stay, which largely defeated the purpose.Overall, the setting is beautiful and has strong potential, but for the amount paid, we expected better maintenance, preparation, and communication. With more attention to upkeep and guest readiness, this could be a truly outstanding stay.
