Louis was a wonderful host - very responsive to questions about the property and food recommendations on the island. We rented a car only because we wanted to explore the island and visit other beaches, but you don’t need a car, there are plenty of shops and restaurants down the road and the grocery store is also walkable.. there is a wagon in the apartment that can be used for a grocery haul. Food is very expensive, both eating out and groceries (small box of cereal ranges from $9-$11) so I would recommending bringing a suitcase of dry food with you and only purchase perishables from the grocery store like eggs and milk. The apartment itself was cozy but plenty of space for us, tidy, full kitchen for cooking, beach floats and chairs, full size washer and dryer, comfortable beds (if you want the second bedroom to have twin beds request this ahead of time.. when we arrived they were joined together as a large king bed … which was fine for us) and a nice balcony. The apartment is a two min walk to the resort and we could use the beach services (chair and umbrella) but not beach towels or paddle boards or kayaks (these cost $60/hr!). We did not use the fitness center or tennis courts but these were available to us to use at no cost. Overall my family (18 and 19 year old, husband and wife) and had a wonderful trip on this island the water is out of this world, we highly recommend staying here for its location, host communication, comfort snd value.
