We enjoyed our time at this property. Taylor Beach is just a short walk down a private path. Both the beach and the water are amazing! Communication with the host was very prompt. When we needed a new bottle if water it was there within the hour. My only recommendation would be to add a door leading into the ensuite bathroom from the primary bedroom. We dined at Las Brisas restaurant which is a short drive down the road. The food was great! I would definitely recommend booking this property.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful cottage on Chalk Sound. The location is absolutely stunning, with crystal-clear turquoise water and peaceful surroundings that made it the perfect place to relax and unwind.The cottage itself was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We especially loved the outdoor space and the incredible views from the gazebo. The mornings and sunsets were unforgettable. It truly felt like a private paradise.We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a special getaway in Turks and Caicos. We would definitely stay again!

An actual 5 star, top of our list in the past 5 years of vrbos. Excellent responsive hosts. Had everything we needed - snacks on arrival, blender, air fryer, nice towels, spices, beds were good (with a bad back we were fine all week!), beach stuff, sunscreen, shampoo....really everything (except tissues was the only thing).The walk to the beach took only a few minutes. It is rocky and uneven so if you're older it might be challenging but we loved having a private beach! There were hardly any prople at the beach....it felt almost like a private beach! After exploring the island, we also thought it was the best, calmest, prettiest, least peopley beach. The gazebo was so nice to relax. The water jugs were so appreciated so we didn't have to buy water. We'd stay here again anytime! Thank you!

Amazing communication from the host. Prompt and attentive. We had a family if 6 with 4 active teenagers/young adults and still felt like we had plenty of room. The gazebo has a great view and is a wonderful spot to enjoy a cup of coffee in the early morning before heading out for the day. The path down to the beach is really neat and the lack of locals or tourists really makes you feel like you have your own private beach. Nice sandy bottom for easy swimming as well. It is a 20 minute drive to the major resort areas but we preferred that and it allowed for some peace and quiet during our down times. Plenty of kitchen supplies to allow you to do all your meal prep and cooking onsite if you wanted to avoid the restaurants. Great grocery locations only 15 minutes away as well. Also, very under appreciated but no crazy checkout or cleaning lists. We still felt compelled to tidy up as much as we could but the instructions were clear; "Don't worry about it, we got it, you just go". This was a nice change from the usual chore list you get.We would definitely book here again.

We had a wonderful stay at Wishing Fish! The home was comfortable and had everything we needed for our active family of five. The location was exactly what we were looking for (removed from the Grace Bay area but still close enough to access it easily). We found the direct access to Taylor Bay Beach to be a fun little trek (maybe 2 minutes) although the terrain would be challenging with any mobility issues. Taylor Bay Beach is absolutely stunning with it's beautiful shallow water and sandy beaches - we even spotted a dolphin one morning! We found the beach to be a little busier on Sunday (although still not even close to crowded) but generally pretty quiet through the week. After exploring amazing beaches all over the island, we were still happy to have been able to call this spot home for a week. Wi-Fi and AC both worked well and we appreciated the "extras" that were available including washer/dryer, beach toys/chairs, Bluetooth speaker and small cooler.

Amazing property, amazing host, perfect for a family of 6

3 tips: 1. The management is superb. When I was lost to locate the property because the house number in chalk sound drive is random, Daphny found us and led us to the property. When my car battery is dead because I forgot to turn off the lights, Daphny sent Nate who is the maintenance guy who also lives next to the property fixed it in a minute. They are super responsive and helpful. 2. The property has everything you need. It has 2 kayaks by the beach, floaters for kids, life jacket, snorkeling gear, and some inflatable floating nets, and 3 big bucket of purified water. If you like to cook, it has salt and some spices too. 3. There is a private path to Taylor bay beach which is 2 mins walk away. You can also do jet ski by the beach for 180$/hour. The beach is calm and beautiful and not crowded at all. It’s as beautiful as the grace bay beach. In the morning it’s generally low tide and you can walk for 50 meters into the sea and the water is still just as deep as your knee.

We loved it.

The house had really great space and amenities. The house is a short walk to Taylor Bay Beach which is our favorite on the island. At the highest point on the property, they have a nice gazebo that has great views of the island and is a stunning place to watch the sunset over the ocean. We loved the convenience of being able to walk back and forth to the beach. If you like to be in the middle of the action with lots of close stores and restaurants, there are better locations but if you want a peaceful place to enjoy the beach, you cannot beat this house. I would highly recommend staying here and Daphny was very responsive to all our questions. We did not have any problems but based on her responsiveness, I am sure that if we did, she would have taken care of it quickly. We will go back here again.

Quite frankly, the best vacation rental we've ever stayed in.

This place was magical for our family of 5. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and agree with all of the compliments in the other reviews re the beach and views and setting. The host was very helpful and responsive. We had a little trouble reaching her by phone when we landed - text messaging was more reliable than calling once you get there. As others noted, a car is highly recommended. Only one restaurant nearby, but we traveled a bit further and also had a great lunch at Turks Kabob and a wonderful dinner on the beach at Da Conch Shack. Both are less than 10 miles away. The grocery store Sunny's is very close by and had almost everything we could need, so we prepared many meals at home. Loved that there were no "tasks" for us to do at the end of the stay - the cleaning crew took care of everything. Wonderful house.

Beautiful Location

Property location was Awesome and super quiet! The secret private walk to the beach was amazing! Some things could be added in the listing as beach towels, kids sand toys, chairs, cooler available. As a traveler that is super important. Could use a couple wash rags in kitchen and extra blankets for beds as they are super thin. Pillows were unbelievable though. Mosquitos were relentless so we didnt get to enjoy the patio as much as we would have wanted to. Over all nice place!

Taylor Bay Escape

We stayed for a week and had a great time in July 2023. The location is away from the main Grace Bay commercial region (20 min drive). It was a short 2 minute walk to the beach at Taylor Bay, which is definitely one of the nicest beaches we experienced on the island. The gazebo is a great feature with 360 degree views of this part of the island. Property is as advertised. Air conditioning worked well despite high temps the week of our stay. Do make sure you have an exact address for clearing customs at the airport. Appliances worked well. There are some kayaks provided that were fun to paddle around. Would definitely recommend this house for anyone looking to have a relaxing vacation away from the main tourist area.

Beautiful villa

We stayed for one week, end of May and everything was as described. Daphny was very quick to respond when we had some issues and she sent immediately someone to help. She also checked with us during the week which was very kind of her. The property is really two minutes from Taylor bay. We did not find the path difficult but it may not be suitable for those with mobility issues. Taylor bay is very shallow and it makes a great place for families with young kids. Very quiet, safe and secluded. The view from the cabana on the top of the stairs are something that will make fall in love over and over agin with this place. If you are looking for the the fuss, and typical tourist experience then you perhaps want to look on the Grace Bay Area or be prepared for a good ride of 20 minutes to salt mill plaza. The island has gotten busier; we still find it safe though. Villa itself is well equipped with everything from beach toys, chairs, cooler, umbrellas, bbq, outdoor lounging chairs, beautiful outdoor table, to a complete kitchen. There is even an airfrier! Very thoughtful of Daphny to welcome us with a few starters such as toiletries, water, and cool refreshing drinks in the fridge. Thank you! Everything was very clean and we found all the rooms spacious and comfortable. Not one thing to complain. We will make a suggestion though, a door on the master bathroom would be really nice. Thank you Daphny for allowing to stay at your villa and enjoy again the beautiful Providenciales!

Favorite beach on the island

We had an excellent stay at the Wishing Well. Our family has 4 children in the age range of 2-9 years old. Taylor bay beach was the perfect beach for them because it was quiet and the water is shallow and very calm. During our stay we went to a few other beaches and none compared to “our” Taylor bay beach. If you want a quiet beach without anyone trying to sell you anything, this is it. The chalk sound is also right across the street from the house but there is not any access there due to the land being rocky. You can visit the chalk sound by Las Brisas restaurant. We recommend the 2 hour pontoon boat tour at Las Brisas. The house had everything we needed. Kitchen was well stocked and we made some simple meals very easily. Bottled water was provided and very appreciated. I did have to wash beach towels everyday because there are only 6 provided. If I could make a suggestion, I would recommended more beach towels, more bath towels, and extra blankets for the beds. Daphne was extremely responsive and took care of having a crib for our 2 year old and also a high chair. An air conditioner broke during our stay and it was fixed very promptly. Our kids loved the stand up paddle board provided on the beach. Unfortunately the kayaks were missing kayak paddles so we did not get to use them. We loved this location and would not hesitate to recommend to other families with young kids! We already want to plan our next trip here.

Fantastic vacation on Taylor Bay

We absolutely loved our stay at Daphne's property. The cottage is sparkling clean and tastefully decorated. We spent our days on the stunning beach and watched sunset every evening from the gazebo. We cooked our lunches in the well equipped kitchen and drove 5 minutes to Las Brisas for delicious dinner. It was a perfect vacation. The complimentary water cooler was an amazing amenity, who'd a thunk? Daphne could not have been more helpful, gracious, and friendly with us. She made excellent recommendations and accommodated our last-minute request to extend our trip. Highly recommend,

Taylor Bay gem!

My family and I had a wonderful stay at the Wishing Fish villa. The property was a perfect size for our group of 6, and it's very clean and comfortable. If you're looking to stay in the Taylor Bay and Chalk Sound area, the location is unbeatable. The path from the house to the gazebo and beach is one of the highlights of this property. Taylor Bay is one of the most pristine beaches on Providenciales, and you're a minute walk from it. Daphny was a very friendly and accommodating hostess. She met us at the car rental agency and escorted us to the property and gave us a tour. She was very helpful with answering our questions, giving recommendations, and providing things we needed during our stay, like replacement water jugs for the dispenser. We had a fantastic stay overall and we'd definitely return!

Great Place for Relaxation, Peace and Quiet

Great villa with comfortable beds and great outdoor spaces. Between the pergola with the most beautiful views, the patio area with comfy chaise lounges (and some shade), and the fire pit area, there was no shortage of places to sit and enjoy the outdoors when not on the beach. The beach is a few minutes walk away down a path that leads you to a secluded beach area with soft sand and gentle waves. Even with the crowds of the Christmas week, there were very few people sharing the beach with us. There is a public beach a little further down, but even that was never really crowded. Daphny was great to communicate with and offered her assistance for anything we needed. Few things to note - these are not criticisms at all, just things that we noticed and were fine with, but might be good for others to know. The house is not near the main tourist areas, which made it perfect for what we wanted, but there are not a lot of restaurants close by. If you want restaurants, bars, and shops, it will be a 20-25 minute drive. We went to Sunny Foods and stocked up on things to make some meals in. The path to the beach has some loose, rocky areas and uneven spots (again, we had no issues with it, but some might). There is no door to the bathroom area in the master suite. Overall, we loved it here and would come back in a minute.

Beautiful House with Amazing Beach!

My family of 6 stayed in Wishing Fish in June 2022. My had an amazing stay, and I would definitely book again. Here are my thoughts: Pros: lovely house; very clean; Daphny is beyond amazing. She answered every question and took such good care of us. Outdoor area is wonderful. Views from gazebo are stunning with Chalk Sound on one side & Taylor Bay on other. It is a 2 min walk to a beautiful beach (Taylor Bay). It is basically your own beach with calm water & no waves. Cons: There was no air conditioner in main area, so had to leave the bedroom doors open & it still wasn’t very cool in main area. Bedrooms were cool. There is not a door between master bath & bedroom. These are not deal breakers. Overall: I would stay again bc the beach was beyond amazing, house was so clean, and outdoor area is super nice. This was our first trip to T&C, and Daphny was the perfect host. She made our trip so good!
