Anniversary Get a Way

We loved our time at the Oleander Villa. The room was small but all we really needed. Having a beautiful private pool area at our front steps was very nice and access to Smith Reef was super easy to get to. Daily maid service was handy and Lutz was most kind. We would love to come back again in the future.

Great Place for a Quiet and Laid Back Stay

We had a wonderful stay. We booked this place last minute and it was exactly as described online. It was a small little villa with a few other units tucked away from the chaos of the big hotel chains. There is a small pool with loungers and a hammock. We found two of our favorite restaurants that we frequented almost every day about a mile away. Highly recommend Sharkbite for dinner. Its amazing. We took the host's recommendation and rented a car. I would highly suggest doing this as I did not see many taxis. Right across the street is a path to a quiet beach and reef. Bring your snorkel gear! Would definitely stay here again.

Disappointed

Oleander Villa could be a good place if improvements made. Wood was rotting at door, in bathroom and shower. Shower ceiling had black smudges. The entry and bathroom rugs were worn and torn. The soap dish and cup were chipped. The pool areas need a fresh coat of paint. Small bugs in bath but that could be because on island. Beach access was good.

Charming property!

Prompt and friendly communication with owners when our driver wanted to confirm directions on the way!Luz kindly met us upon arrival, and she was a lifesaver the next morning when she instantly connected us with transportation after I wasn’t having any luck! Pleasant walk to a couple of restaurants overlooking a little dock, and we felt safewalking there for dinner. Coffee shop as well!

Came in for vacay a day early to beat the storm and found this little gem! Located in a nice quiet neighborhood with a good selection of restaurants in easy walking distance. Beach access was super easy and very close to Smiths Reef if your intent is snorkeling. The hosts were very communicative and the place was very clean. Great value for the price! My only suggestion would be to provide a small amount of coffee for the first day there. There is a little cafe barely seven minutes up the road but always nice not to have to get dressed before your morning caffeine. Would definitely book this place again!

Hidden gem

Me and a friend came for a quick trip just to relax and layout. This spot is perfect! Literally a two minute walk to a private beach. They also give you beach towels in the room. Cafe and lil restaurants nearby in walking distance. This place has a microwave, coffee machine and mini fridge. Loved this little spot. Would definitely come back .

Quiet Little Villa

Up until the day we checked out it was wonderful. The pool was clean and just the right temperature. The beach was very close and private. Beach towels are provided so don't bring those and save space in your luggage! It was more relaxing than being at a larger resort with many people. Hurricane Oscar flooded our unit the morning we were supposed to leave, but the owner and his staff were amazing. At that moment I knew I made a great choice in reserving here.

My girlfriend and I had a great experience at our villa! Housekeepers came regularly to make sure everything was neat and clean and the access to the beach couldn’t have been anymore perfect! Restaurants / main attractions were all close by and with in driving distance. Definitely would stay again

We loved the the access to the private beach. Also, Luz was a gem. She was always accessible and helpful. The small appliances and utensils (cutlery, wine/bottle opener, toaster, microwave and mini fringe and chest for ice) were very much appreciated for use when we wanted stay at the villa and not have to take a taxi to dine out. Because of the added amenities we were able to pick up a few items from the grocery store and fill in the gaps!

Cozy Getaway

The property was very clean. I asked if I could check in early and they were quick to accommodate me. Our bed was made everyday which was so nice after coming back from the heat outside. The property was very centralized and there are great food options that we could walk to. I love that there was dedicated parking for our rental car. It made the whole experience so convenient.

Good for a very short term

The best part of this unit is the pool area and the private beach access and beach chairs and umbrellas, as mentioned by other reviewers. No signage to the unit so hard to find initially. The unit itself is a small studio with large windows that unfortunately open to the neighbouring patio on one side and to the walkway to the upper unit villa and pool on the other, so curtains stay closed unless you like people looking in. Poor soundproofing, folks in upper unit very loud starting at 6 am and one hears every footstep. OK for a one-night stay but we cannot imagine staying much longer than that. Definitely would stay in the complex again, but not in the Oleander which is not a villa at all but a room with bathroom. Might work well if a larger group rents upper Bougainvillea Villa and use Oleander as overflow.
