Nice house in great neighborhood with great views

North shore of Kauai is heaven on earth and this house is a great launching spot for the area.The house itself is a little rundown, the layout is really pretty poor and AC would be a bonus. But it does have terrific views, is spacious, nice street, has a pool and lots of amenties that are great for a trip like this such as beach chairs, a cooler or even two bikes. Tons of baby items if you have one.My biggest problem was that they use Vacasa as the property manager. So if you ever have a question you end up with some dimwit that certainly has never been to the house and is really no better than a bot.An example would be that bike tires were kind of flat and I was looking for a pump. I couldn't find it in the garage so I message thru the app, the response "sorry bike pump is not a listed amenity." Well these bikes are not much use without air, "sorry I don't see the bikes as amenities either." They are in the listing here and here "they are listed that way in Vacasa..."This was the condensed version of a 45 minute text exchange that started with a simple question and just made me super pissed by the end of it. For the record I did eventually find the pump (and it was a good one) and enjoyed the bikes.

Lack of communication

First, beautiful home. Some rooms were not traditional bedrooms, some with sliding doors like a large closet but that is what’s pictured when I looked back at the listing! There was an issue with a car being present in the garage upon check in for us. Felt scary to find it. We have small children and it didn’t feel like total privacy. The customer service at Vacasa seemed like AI and they didn’t address the issue except for “it’s the owners car” until I filed a dispute with my CC company. I didn’t sleep well knowing there was an undisclosed car on property. We will try to avoid vacasa in the future.

This home was just as stated in listing. It was very clean, the bedrooms were very comfortable. It was in a safe location. The neighbors were friendly. We had a perfect vacation.

Beautiful and relaxing

I love the beautiful quiet neighborhood. The house is plenty big for 8-10 people and is spread out enough that everyone can find a quiet place. The pool was a pleasant surprise…it doesn’t look like a house with a pool when you drive up, but in the backyard there is a little rock pathway leading down to a private pool and hot tub which is lovely! Our family absolutely loved this place and would stay again!

Amazing Views

Sacred Waterfall is in a great location with amazing views. My family of 7 adults had plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen is large and very well equipped. The outdoor shower is very nice and clean. The pool is a nice size with the hot tub attached.

paradise retreat

Loved everything about the home. Exactly as seen in the photographs and more! Enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Beds were comfortable. Lots of space. Kitchen was FULLY equipped. The views were incredible. Drive into town and to most beaches was about 15 minutes with great views. Highly recommend this home. thank you!

A great experience for our family!

We were very imressed with the home as it was beautiful and met our needs for beds for all and beautiful views appliances, cookware, and well equiped kitchen. We were pleased with how clean the entire home was! Our granddaughters however were distured by the lizards crawing up the high walls. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool and hot tub! Better instructions regarding the operation of the pool and hot tub would be helpful! The most concerning issue was the access to the pool area which is very dangerous for anyone with difficultly using the steps to and from the pool. Also true for young childre Although there is a railing on one side of the stone steps which did help somewhat, a railing on both sides would be more secure and safe for all accessing the pool. We would also recommend additional lighting of the steps leading to the pool. The final little issue was the rooster crowing at 5ish in the morning for us city folks. Just kidding as we know you can't get rid of them! We would recommend it for families as there were 4 adults and 3 teenagers.

Property was beautiful and amazing. The owner of the home has great taste and good decor.

This property needs some minor TLC on the maintenance side half the lightbulbs don’t work barbecue is totally shot. Had to buy one pool was not working properly and chairs in the dining room were broken tiles in the master bathroom were broken with sharp edges but I think overall this is a fabulous property we would return we were just request some maintenance to be done.

Home has gorgeous views and is in a great location. A few minor upgrades and some maintenance is needed with the property in order for this to be a five star rental.

Pictures does not do it justice

The photos were definitely a selling point for my group prior to booking. I’m pleased to say that the views were even more stunning in person. The house was clean and a lot of space to get lost should you choose to.

Huge disappointment - DO NOT RENT THIS HOUSE

For my 50th birthday we wanted a large home where our family could all be together. The house is clearly old and has not been updated. There are 4 bedrooms. One bed is so bad my sister ended up leaving and getting a hotel, the sliding doors for 2 of the rooms were nearly impossible to close/open, the bathroom cabinet doors didn't shut, the shower in the master dripped 24/7 and kept us awake at night, the ceiling fans looked like they hadn't been cleaned in years. BUGS: There were ants EVERYWHERE. Dishes we pulled out from the cabinets had to be washed before we could use them because of the ants. There were geckos all through the house and they left poop all over the walls. There were spiders and webs all through the house. POOL: I have never booked a home with a pool before, but the posting has a pool in the listing, so I sadly assumed it would be usable. The pool was freezing. There is NOTHING in the listing that says we have to request the pool be heated, or that there would be an extra charge to heat it. When I called VRBO they said it's a Vacasa issue, I called Vacasa and they said it's a VRBO issue. Nobody would take responsibility or try to make it right. We couldn't even pay for it to be heated so we could use it. Why would I book a house with a pool that is not usable? The 'path' to the pool area is over-grown with plants and trees and extremely dangerous to get to. Overall - this home was the biggest waste of money and I would not recommend it to anyone.

Great location near beach

This is a great location near beaches for a large family group. The kitchen is well stocked with amenities for cooking. The pool is a great option for hanging out at the house. The 4 rooms housed our party of 8 perfectly.

Princeville Getaway

The house itself was lovely....with the most incredible view off the patio. The rooms were as described, all with comfortable beds, and the kitchen well stocked! We enjoyed having a pool for lazy afternoons post beach. There is an avocado tree in the lush backyard, beautiful birds that visit on the patio, and overall a very tropical feel on the property. The neighborhood is quiet and residential, close to the market, and walking distance to a few places for dinner. Easy drive to Hanalei, but be sure to look at the road closure schedule! Our only suggestion to enhance the stay would be adding more patio/pool furniture. The pictures show a table at the pool for dinner, but that wasn't there (we ended up hauling food down and eating on the floor). There are two small patios, one off the master bedroom, overlooking the pool, and one outside another bedroom. Neither had even a chair to sit in and enjoy the space. FYI-The pool is accessed from downstairs only and isn't visible from the upper patio you relax at. So if you have little children, be prepared. We found this place to be quite a bit more expensive than a few others in the neighborhood (we booked last minute and had to bite the bullet) but I'm guessing you are paying for the view. Overall, we had a great time and enjoyed our stay in Princeville!
