Very clean and well cared for. The host was welcoming and easy to communicate with. EV charging on the property was a plus! Definitely recommend and would book again! "

"Me and my Nephew stayed here for a long weekend. It is a great location for exploring the area. We went as far as St. Ignase for a day trip. The cottage was clean when we arrived and had everything we needed as far as towels, kitchen items, toiletries. I was surprised to see a smoker there for use, we did use the grill. The furniture is comfortable. Over all I would definitely come back. "

"We had a wonderful Labor Day weekend @ Grand Lake Cozy Cottage. The layout of the home is perfect. The kitchen is at least a 4 person working kitchen so that was great. The additional dining space was a plus. Due to inclement weather, we ended up having a great 'game day/night' at the table. It was enough for 6 people. The levels of decking was a bonus as was the boat house play room. It was nice having a long dock at we brought two fishing boats along with us. You won't regret renting this...

"A returning guest to the Embers Cabin and it did not disappoint. Nice binders filled with information about the area provided by owner. Bed super comfy. All amenities were accurate with online property description. Clean, tidy and peaceful! It was great to unplug and unwind here. Also as a solo traveler, I felt very safe at this location. 10/10 recommend."

"We have stayed at ** many** VRBO rentals over the years and the Rapid Retreat definitely goes in our FAVORITES bucket! The cottage is very beautiful, updated, and is filled with everything you will need to make your stay comfortable. Everything is clean and tidy. The large deck provides a great place for morning coffee with a beautiful view of the lake. We enjoyed using the new kayaks to explore the lakeshore, and sitting by the campfire almost every night. "This is a really cute place to stay. Me and my guests stayed 7 nights here when originally we were only going to stay 6. However, we added an extra night so we could stay longer. The host was very good with communicating and super nice. Just a heads up if anyone wants to stay here there is an actual hot tub in the backyard and not the inflatable like the picture. Honestly, I would still stay here again it’s super cute and a quiet neighborhood too. They did a really good job at making this place...

"We had a great stay at this cabin! It was very clean and the property was beautiful. Our family caught lots of fish and enjoyed the paddle boat, canoe and kayaks. We traveled into town and visited the Amish bakery which was absolutely delicious. Terry greeted us upon arrival and was very informative about the area and the cabin. It had all the basic necessities plus a little more. We are looking forward to visiting this place again."

"From the moment we arrived, the cabin was welcoming - clean, organized, all the items we needed for cooking and serving, feel at home decor. A great set up outside, as well. The location is a nice short drive into Alpena and the surrounding area. A beautiful view across the lake, including a wonderful view of the sunrise. And nicely quiet. "Stayed here with three families and three children aged 2 to 4. The house is beautiful, clean and well-maintained. A great layout and a spacious kitchen and dining area allowed us to enjoy all of our meals together. We managed the 2.5 bathrooms through planning and without challenges. The location on Lake Huron is just amazing and the grandkids enjoyed playing on the rocks. The Dinosaur Gardens with putt-putt golf was a great way to spend a morning with little ones."
