The property itself is large inside and outside, in a traditional / rustic rather than modern style, which was fine by us.It is maybe a little tired around the edges - the wooden fence around the patio area looked in need of a lick of paint and quite a lot of the outdoor furniture was frayed. But what you are paying for here is the secluded location and the view of the bay below - which is spectacular. You are set quite a long way up the hill, approximately 250 steps take you down to the beach. You hit the road at the halfway point - left through the tunnel takes you to the marina area with a few lovely restaurants, right to Il Pirato which you can see from the terrace. What we don’t realise till the 2nd day was that these were linked by a path which runs under the cliff-face. Anyway, in 10 minutes or so you can be by the water. It takes a bit more than that to get back up to the property at the end of the day - pack some shoes with decent grip on them! What the reviews make clearer than the listing is that to access the property from the meeting place at La Moressa restaurant involves a 10 minute or so walk along a narrow pathway which winds down some reasonably big slopes. If we’d got to grips with that, we’d have packed lighter or in 2 smaller cases rather than the 23kg suitcase which was difficult to get down to the property and murder to get back up at the end of the stay (we’re both reasonably fit, in our early 50s).Lastly, book the car park they offer!
