Very relaxing cottage to stay in. Water view is beautiful and so many birds to see. Cottage is equipped very nicely with anything you might need. Hope to return when the weather is warm to take the canoe out. Had our first snowfall while were there.

Nice little place with everything we needed. Great yard with a fire pit by the beach. Wonderful view from the deck. We used the hot tub every morning and every evening. Our next stay will be during warmer weather so we can get out on the water.

Nice 4 person cottage by the river. Unfortunately, due to late season and dry weather the river was hard to navigate even in kayaks due to low water - not the fault of our hosts. The view was wonderful! The fire pit was perfect by the water and they even supplied wood. The only reason I would give a 4 was the cottage was dated and the access to the main lake was difficult due to the low water making fishing a bit of a challenge. Would stay here again. Well worth the cost. Deck and bird feeders are a joy. Bathroom and kitchen are small but they have everything you need for a quick fishing trip.

We had a 2 night stay.We used the canoe to go up and down river, saw the bluffs upriver just as described. Got a lot of hiking in. Good recommendations left by ownersThere is wonderful bird life all around. We woke the morning of departure to two sandhill cranes standing in the front yard.Just the two of us so plenty of room and comfort which met our needs. Didn't use the hot tub. While we were there the neighborhood was very quiet with minimal traffic. We took two enjoyable walks down road.Great rental for us!

This is the second time we stayed at the cottage. Peaceful and quite with bars and restaurants nearby. Enjoyed the hot tub and the beach area. Only suggestions...please trim the bushes by the deck. Hard to enjoy the view while sitting at the table.

Liked the birds & bird feeders , lake view, hot tub and deck. Need Instructions re: hot tub operation, garbage pick up thought it was monday & we left monday didnt know if take out to street( far side) ? Very restful stay in small cottage with our 2 small dogs. Didnt get any fish but son in law waded out and tried too shallow? Toured & tasted at nearby wineries. Overall laid back peaceful.daughters bday weekend. Appreciated wine & welcome note, music playing when we arrived too. .Thank you !

This was our second time staying at this property. The outdoor space is great. There is a big deck where we ate all our meals. There was yard space to run around and play. And best of all the river was sandy so it was great to wade into with the little ones. And there was a sandy area where they could play. We used the canoe to paddle around the river as well.

Perfect engagement surprise ever!!

4th trip for us!!!

This is our fourth time staying here from Cedar Rapids Iowa and we’ve stayed at cabins all over Wisconsin and Iowa and this is by far our absolute favorite!!! The location is breathtaking and couldn’t be more serene and gorgeous. The water isn’t crazy high and there’s a sandbar (usually) that our dogs love to run out onto and just enjoy their day. We spend the day at the camp fire while the dogs run to each island and play in the water. The neighbors are phenomenal and we’ve never had annoying/bad guests in the rentals around. The home is perfect and has absolutely everything you need for a trip. Hot tub is phenomenal and just waking up to the birds chirping and such a quiet beautiful and relaxing setting is just a dream. We can’t wait to stay again.

The place is fully stocked and very clean. There was everything we needed and more. Host is amazing. The post talks about the beach down the road...don't bother, the beach in yard is perfect for pets or small children. Thank you for a great experience on our short time there.

Ladies Weekend Getaway

There were three of us ladies. We had such a good time at the Cottage. The hot tub felt wonderful on our "old" bones, and the view from the deck was so peaceful. We truly enjoyed all the wildlife (Geese, Ducks, Cranes, Swans, and Owls). We even had two deer visiting in the morning. The scenic walk with my dog was breath-giving. I would recommend this little cottage for a peaceful getaway anytime.

We stayed here 12 years ago. Not much has changed. Oven needs to be replaced. If we were to come again I think my camping furniture would be more comfortable than the couch. Maybe time for some updates. Great view. Bird watching was excellent and the little Christmas tree was a nice addition.
