Sitka Suite at Arbutus Cove Retreat, family oceanfront

The Sitka Suite is a private, top-floor, 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom oceanfront suite (1 king, 2 queens; about 1,100 sq ft) at Arbutus Cove Retreat, halfway between Powell River and Lund on BC's Sunshine Coast. Sleeps 6 and is our family suite, the only one that welcomes children of all ages. An ocean-fed hot tub is included, with a glass-panel sauna available as an add-on.

A guest favourite, Sitka offers warm natural light, stylish décor and panoramic ocean views. Relax in the spacious living and dining areas, cook in the fully equipped kitchen, cozy up by the fireplaces in the evening, and unwind on your private balcony overlooking the Salish Sea.

Set on 1.2 acres of lush greenery, Sitka looks out across the water to the mountains of Vancouver Island. It's thoughtfully designed for the perfect balance of natural beauty and relaxation.

ABOUT ARBUTUS COVE RETREAT Arbutus Cove Retreat offers sweeping ocean views and a restorative coastal escape. Our four fully contained, private suites (Hemlock, Cedar, Sitka and Heron) are perfectly located between Powell River and Lund, about 15 minutes from each. Explore kayaking, mountain biking, climbing, fishing and hiking, or wander beaches, visit breweries and browse artisan markets. Then return to wellness and calm: soak in the hot tub, book the sauna, or gather at the beach fire pit.

PLEASE NOTE: The Sitka Suite is on the upper level of house #3945, with another suite below. While the building is well insulated, some sound may travel between levels, so we kindly ask all guests to be mindful of noise.

AMENITIES Guests enjoy full access to all of Arbutus Cove Retreat's outdoor amenities, including the beach area, sunset deck, BBQ pergola and cozy fire pits.

Oceanfront hot tub: included with your stay, booked by appointment. Adults only.

Glass-panel sauna: optional add-on, $15/hour.

Tesla Level 2 EV charger (240V): available for a fee. It has a Tesla (NACS) connector, so non-Tesla vehicles need their own adapter. We don't provide one.

Outdoor shower and invigorating bucket splash, or take a plunge in the ocean.

Advance booking through our website is required for the hot tub, sauna and EV charger, to ensure availability and privacy.

GOOD TO KNOW

Children of all ages are welcome in Sitka. The hot tub is adults only.

Pet friendly, with a $60 pet fee. Please note the property is not fenced.

Free parking on the property, in front of the suites.

The beach is pebbly and rocky, so bring water shoes if you plan to swim.

GETTING HERE Powell River is on the mainland but isn't connected to the provincial road network, so driving from Vancouver takes two ferries: Horseshoe Bay to Langdale, then Earls Cove to Saltery Bay. In summer, reserve the Horseshoe Bay to Langdale sailing; reservations aren't available on the Earls Cove to Saltery Bay leg.

By air: Pacific Coastal Airlines flies from Vancouver airport, and Harbour Air flies from downtown Vancouver to Powell Lake. The Harbour Air dock is next to The Shinglemill Pub and Bistro, where you check in, about 10 minutes from Powell River's city centre.
