    Come relax in our spacious & inviting 4BR/2 Bath Cape home, Serenity Pines, located 2 miles off I-87 on a quiet private road at the southern end of Schroon Lake in Pottersville, NY. 25 minutes to Gore Mtn & 30 min to hiking the ADK High Peaks. A perfect ski retreat or large group getaway. In any season, we are surrounded with an abundance of activities & local attractions to enjoy. Lake George is 25 minutes south, Lake Placid is 1 hour north. Come enjoy the splendor of the Adirondacks!!

    THE SPACE:
    Spacious & beautiful Cape style home with 4 bedrooms and 2 full baths with an acre of flat lawn space to play and relax . Located on a private dead end road, our home sleeps 8 people comfortably with 3 levels of living space! We are located .7 miles from the Bible Institute/ Word of Life Youth Camp. Our home is a convenient and comfortable accommodations for a family, large group or parents and youth leaders while their youth are attending Snow Camp or summer camp. (Word of Life is a 2 minute drive).

    Skiers and snowboarders, hit the slopes at nearby Gore Mountain (25 minutes) or Whiteface Mountain (1 hour away). Hikers, explore Mt Severance and enjoy a picnic and magnificent views overlooking the north end of Schroon Lake. The more energetic hikers can undertake the challenge of Giant Mountain (one peak of the 46 Peaks) and be in awe of the spectacular panoramic view of the Adirondack High Peaks. Families, explore Stone Bridges and Caves which is only 6 miles away, or stroll Main Street in Schroon Lake, enjoy water activities at any of the 5 area lakes, spend the day at the popular Lake George with its many attractions. Guests with their own boat, kayak or canoe, access to the southern end of Schroon Lake is only a few minutes drive away to the Horicon boat launch. Across the road from the Horicon boat launch is a beach area on the Schroon River offering swimming/beach area with accessibility for kayaks and canoes for a beautiful and relaxing paddle on the Schroon River. Wherever your Adirondack adventure brings you, end your day by sitting around the campfire enjoying good conversation, roasting marshmallows, and sipping your favorite beverage.

    Our homes' main floor has a cozy open-concept living room, dining room, and fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen has new stainless-steel appliances, small appliances, coffee maker, pots & pans, dishes, utensils, glassware, wine glasses, baking pans and hand mixer, olive oil, salt & pepper and basic spices, all to prepare an enjoyable meal and baked treat. There is large extendable table with seating for 6 (8 with leaf added). Additional stool seating at the kitchen island counter. Complimentary starter coffee and individual creamers/Coffeemate.

    Family and friends can enjoy 'movie night' with popcorn viewed on the 55" UHDTV Smart Tv in the living room. Netflix access is FREE, along with LG channels & Tubi Tv. Guests can access Amazon Prime, Hulu, Disney, etc. with their personal account. There is also an abundance of DVD's and VHS tapes with players available for each tv. An additional, identical 55" tv is in the family room in the basement level of the house for separate tv viewing use, described below.

    In the basement level of the home is a family room furnished with a second 55" HDTV SmartTV, DVD & VHS player with many favorite movies to choose from, an assortment of board games and books, OR have a musical experience by sitting down at our piano to play some fun, energizing or relaxing music.

    For those guest that may need to work from home, a stand-up adjustable work desk 'nook' is situated in a corner of the family room.

    All beds are made and prepared with 100% cotton sheets, with blankets, and quilts/comforters and ready for guests use upon arrival.

    Each guest will have available a bath towel and wash cloth . Hand towels are located on the towel bars in each bathroom, with additional hand towels available.

    In driveway FREE parking for up to 6 cars .

    FREE Wi Fi thru out the listing.

    Full access to the main house front and back yard, stone firepit, Cornhole game, Crochet set, Wi-Fi, & Netflix.
    Shared access of the yard. Private patio with table and private fire pit.
    Guests will not have access to the garage, or wooden shed.
    Guests can inquire with host for bicycle storage.
    Woodstove in basement is not in working order and is not to be used by guests.
    Guests will not have access to the utility boiler room in the basement. The door will be locked and has video surveillance for boiler's operation.
    OTHER THINGS TO NOTE;

    **The primary renter must be age 21.

    A violation of house a rule may result in a $150 violation fee.

    **Please Note:This listing is for the main house, 'Serenity Pines'. There is a separate listing 'The Loft Suite' above our garage. Both listings can be booked by the same guests who may need the extra space and/or are interested in an additional space that is separate & has privacy from the main house.

    The main house is separated from the Loft Suite with an oversized mudroom with stairs leading up to the suite above the garage.
    The door leading to the main house from the mudroom will be locked and guests in the main house will keep the door locked for their privacy.
    While in the kitchen in the main house, you may hear potential guests entering and exiting thru their private entrance in the mudroom.

    Our property is close to the Word of Life Bible Institute and their affiliated 'The Pines' campground. From the end of June - thru the end of August you may hear music or activities. Also, there are campsites bordering our property in the back yard. During the same time periods, you may see and hear campers .

    A towel and wash cloth is provided for each guest. Hand towels are available in each bathroom along with hand soap, shampoo, conditioner and body gel. Towels are not to be used for a beach towel. There is a limited supply of beach towels in the 2nd floor bath closet for guest use.

    Air conditioning in bedrooms during summer season from approximately the end of May to the end of Sept.

    A patio umbrella and BBQ grill available seasonally approximately the end of May to end of October.
