Recomendable, muy lindo y muy buena vista!

Muy lindo lugar, ubicado arriba de la Montaña con una vista a Positano muy linda. Se puede caminar por la zona, hay algunos restoranes cerca, linda experiencia. La habitación amplia, muy bien mantenida. Recomiendo.

Aesthetically pleasing, clean, comfortable. Enjoyed having hot tub on the private patio. 15 min walk to beach but all by stairs. There is a bus that comes right in front of the hotel but we always just walked. Convenience store right beside hotel. Great air conditioning.

What a beautiful place. I loved the hot tub! The view was amazing. The staff was receptive and friendly. Our room was clean. The bus loop was great and shopping was everywhere. I wouldn't rent a car there. I would love to travel there again!

Prime location in Positano, away from the crowds but close to the grocery store and two cute restaurants. Super close to the bus stop if you want to travel to Amalfi or Sorrento. To get to the Positano beach you need to walk down about half a mile. Note you need to take a lot of stairs!!

It’s about a 10 minute walk down a million stairs to the shops and beach. Easy if you are in good shape. Lots of shopping and food choices close by that you don’t need take all the stairs for. Everything is on the high side of costs, but to be expected in Positano.

Positano is not known for modern style accomodations, but this place was the exception! Our room was spacious and the bed was big and comfy! We loved having the jacuzzi and kitchen. It’s in a great location as well. A gem in positano!

Great apartment in Upper Positano. Really lovely interiors, very quiet and peaceful in a busy town! Steep walk down into town but doable and lovely views!

Our stay at Villa Fortuna was nice, but I do have some suggestions to help other that decide to stay there. The walk to the beach is not 5 minutes as mentioned in the description. . Please be transparent and honest. It is a challenge to navigate Positano. Be ready for it. No one is walking down to the beach and if they do it will certainly take a long time! The bus will take you down and then you will walk from the main town. Another suggestion is to provide more storage for clothes. I think a dresser to store would be a plus. We also wanted to use the stove but after numerous attempts I realized I didn’t know how to use it. Instructions were not there- I believe the stove wasn’t working. I really wish they offered breakfast too. This was a disappointment. The bar next door had some breakfast items, but I still like breakfast when I’m on vacation. Overall it was a nice place. Clean, Spacious & great air conditioning ! It was cold which was a serious bonus! The patio area with the jetted tub was nice too.

This was a lovely hotel with a stunning partial ocean view. It’s right in front of the bus stop, which was very convenient because it’s pretty far to the city center. In addition to the bus stop convenience, there was an awesome local bar, grocery store & convenient store 10 feet from the front door. I will say, we booked this for my adult family of five and it was a little tight, so I would recommend booking an additional room if you have a big family or group you’re traveling with. I left a 5-star review because the place was beautiful and clean, but would have loved a little more help throughout our stay as far as new towels, more toilet paper, and getting the hot tub running (which is very minute in the scheme of things). They were very quick at responding to messages and the ladies running Villa Fortuna are lovely.

Day trip to Positano

We decided to drive down from Rome to Positano and found Villa Fortuna on Hotels.com last minute on Nov 20. It is off season, so we were happy to find this room. It turned out to be a great decision. The room was big and spacious, very clean, nice bathroom with supplies. Had 2 balconies with views. The host, Diana, was able to manage everything remotely with us being the only guest. She was very responsive and accommodating. It is located at the top of the hill, but the bus pickup is right out the door. Bought bus tickets in the shop next door (Need Euros) and the schedule for pick up and return from downtown Positano was easy. Enjoyed a coffee in the AM with fantastic view. Highly recommend Villa Fortuna!
