This location is fantastic, the house is amazing, the view, honestly I can't put in to words how great this place is. Adolfo is the best host. In all of my travels this place and experience is at the top. Adolfo’s father made us delicious pizza one night and took us on a tour of the coast on his boat. There are no steps to get to the front door, which is a great thing. Grocery and restaurants are easy walk. You can't do better than here.

Casa Sam is a dream! The Villa is situated over three levels with spectacular views of the town of Positano and the beach. The rooms are beautiful and the kitchen is well equipped for making meals when you want a break from eating out. Adolfo was our private concierge and arranged for everything from reservations for dinners/lunches to winetasting to a private boat ride along the coast. We also had a wonderful cooking class at the Villa with Adolfo's father, a former chef, and it was delicious!!!! We travelled with our college aged kids who frequented "Music on the Rocks" a couple of nights, the local nightclub that is literally on the water. This was truly the highlight of our trip to Italy and we will definitely be back.

Incredible experience in Positano

The villa is stunning with unbelievable views. Adolfo was very communicative and offered recommendations on everything from restaurants to porter service for luggage. The space is very large and 8 adults stayed there very comfortably. A modern and well equipped kitchen was a very nice touch. Overall a 5 star experience.

Adolfo was very easy to communicate with and helped with all we needed. The property has street access which is a must in Positano! Huge space with lots of balconies. Beautiful views. Perfect space for our adult kids to have their own space, but still be able to be together.

Exceptional Stay in Positano

My family and I came to Positano to end our trip to Italy. I couldn't think of a more perfect place to end our stay! For a group of seven adults (6 couples, 1 single), the house had more than enough space. Adolfo was an incredible host and was so communicative throughout the entire planning process as I'd never been to Positano before. The house had incredible views of Positano and was stylishly decorated. There was plenty of spare towels to use for the beach, a washer and dryer, and a fully stocked kitchen. I would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in Positano and would definitely rent again!

Amazing house with a stunning view from the balcony! The house was comfortable with a large kitchen, which had everything needed to cook a large meal. We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony in the morning, as the sun rose and at nighttime when the city lights sparkled. The house is in a nice location, with steps right in front, which led down to the town and beach at the bottom. Adolfo was very attentive and accommodating, helping us set up rides and porter service. We rode the ferry to Positano and highly recommend having porters take your luggage up to the house for you when you arrive.

Wonderful experience

What a special spot! I booked this for 4 girlfriends, and it couldn't have been more perfect! We enjoyed the entire villa from the grotto to the kitchen and all of the outdoor terraces. We also booked the boat ride with Daniel as well as a private cooking class and thoroughly enjoyed everything! I am so grateful for Adolfo's hospitality, recommendations and communication. One of my favorite vacations and experiences, thanks to this amazing villa.

Casa Sam was the perfect place for our family to stay in Positano. While the town can feel incredibly busy during the day, walking through the front door of Casa Sam felt like entering a peaceful retreat. We looked forward to coming back every afternoon to relax on the terraces and soak in the incredible views. One important thing to know—and this isn't specific to Casa Sam, but to Positano itself—is that Positano stairs. The entire town is built into the cliffs, so expect to climb a lot of steps wherever you stay. If you have mobility concerns or simply don't enjoy walking stairs, Positano may not be the best fit. But if you're prepared for it, the beauty of the town makes every climb worthwhile. The home's layout worked really well for our family. The main bedrooms are on the upper level, with the kitchen, living room, and beautiful veranda on the level below. A quiet, cozy bedroom with its own private terrace is tucked away on the lowest floor, making it a wonderful spot for anyone wanting a little extra privacy. The terraces are what truly make Casa Sam so special. We spent countless hours enjoying coffee in the morning, relaxing after the beach, and watching the evening light over the sea. The views are simply spectacular. The home strikes a wonderful balance between stylish and comfortable. The beds and linens were incredibly comfortable after long, sun-filled days exploring the Amalfi Coast. We were especially grateful for the excellent air conditioning, which ma

Such a great discovery!

Casa Sam is such a great discovery, it is at the top of Positano with beautiful views and easy access to the street and stairs (literally both are right outside the front door). The house is great for a family, the kitchen is updated and modern, and the house is definitely nicer than it appears in the photos. Adolfo and Ettore were both super helpful and went above and beyond. We were planning our trip on the fly and they were able to help us get dinner and boat reservations on short notice. Truly an unforgettable family trip!

Excellent location and stay

Adolfo was so helpful in getting us checked in and giving us great restaurant recommendations. All the restaurants he recommended were delicious. We had 4 couples on this trip to Positano and the house was amazing and we never felt crowded. The house was beautiful and the views were amazing. You have to be at the house in person because the pictures does no justice to this place. We all were mesmerized by the views and the beauty of Positano. We highly recommend the private chef dinner. It was one of our best meals during our stay in Positano. The house is in walking distance of a lot of the restaurants and shops if you want to do some shopping. We were very happy with our stay and would highly recommend it.

Staying at this villa was nothing short of magical, and Adolfo is the reason it became one of the most unforgettable trips of our lives. From the moment we booked, he stayed in close contact all the way up to our arrival — sending thoughtful recommendations, answering every question, and making sure we felt cared for before we even set foot in Positano. He’s the kind of host you hope for but rarely find: warm, generous, and genuinely invested in making your experience extraordinary. His local advice was invaluable. Every restaurant he pointed us toward was a hit, and the activities he suggested shaped the trip in ways we couldn’t have planned ourselves. He helped us book a private boat ride along the coast that ended up being one of the highlights of our entire Italy trip — the kind of afternoon you replay in your head for years. And then there was the dinner. Adolfo’s father Daniele cooked us a meal we will quite literally never stop talking about. The seabass dish he prepared will live rent-free in my mind forever — it was the meal of a lifetime, served with the kind of warmth and hospitality that only a family like this can offer. It felt like being welcomed home by people we’d known forever. The villa itself belongs in Architectural Digest. Every detail, every view, every corner of the home is stunning — the kind of place that takes your breath away every time you walk back in. We wanted for absolutely nothing during our stay.

We had an exceptional experience when we booked Adolfo's place. You will not be disappointed in the quality of the physical product as it is excellent in every respect. It exudes the "feel" of Positano, a stone house built in the 17th century perched on a cliff overlooking all of the harbor. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. Multiple terraces offer dramatic views from each level of the house. The services offered by Adolfo were world class. He has an intimate and expansive knowledge of a multitude of different places that he can assist in booking, including several Michelin starred restaurants. He also was well connected with a myriad of transportation options in the area and excursions. For us, a day in Pompeii in a private van for our group of 7, followed by lunch at a working vineyard and a stop to a high end ceramic factory for shopping curated by the fourth generation of the family wrapped up a great day in the area. Adolfo also arranged for a day long private boat tour of the Amalfi coast and a visit to Capri, where we lunched locally and explored for several hours before be picked up to explore the island coast of Capri, returning to Positano for a phenomenal day on the boat. Not to be outdone, he arranged for a special private chef meal that night, for our final night in Positano. Our group of 7 were treated like royalty by a host who knows his business exceptionally well and is as hospitable as a host can be. You will be thrilled you booked.

Never wanted to leave!

Everyone in our group agreed this is an all-time favorite rental! The house is beautiful, well-equipped, and has so many perfect spots indoor and out for hanging out. It very comfortably fit our group of 5, and we enjoyed breakfast on the terrace in the mornings, and playing cards in the kitchen in the evenings. The history of the house makes it extra special, and I was inspired by the art hanging and exciting book collection. The view is incredible and location is great - within easy access of restaurants and walkable to the beach, but also removed and peaceful. Adolfo was incredibly warm and welcoming, easy to reach, and helpful with recommendations. Would highly recommend.

Stunningly beautiful and well appointed

Wow experience from prior to check in and throughout the stay! Historic, gorgeous, peaceful, comfortable, with amazing views and garden terraces, this house exceeded expectations. The kitchen is well equipped and beautifully designed. The bedrooms have good climate control and are very comfortable. The house has essentials including coffee, laundry, and filtered water. It’s close to a bus stop, although we trekked the stairs both ways to the beach multiple times for the workout. Note the property is built into the hill so there are stairs inside. The interior bedroom gets a bit of noise from the passersby, but overall when the windows are closed the rooms are fairly quiet. There is a little market just a few feet away for essentials and restaurants close by, as well as a deli/wine store. We especially liked eating at Il Fornillo, one of Adolfo’s recommendations. Adolfo was very helpful making transportation arrangements and answering questions. Of course, the town and water views are amazing. Starting and ending our days taking it all in from the terraces left indelible memories to enjoy!

Must Stay Here in Positano

Casa Sam is an absolute gem of a property in Positano! I honestly can't say enough good things about our experience. We had 8 adults (4 couples) and I'm not sure you can find a better layout for a group this size in Positano. All 4 rooms were spacious and comfortable. Each couple had their own bathroom as well. The views from the terraces cannot be put into words and are absolutely breathtaking! The home is stunning and the best part may be the direct street access. If you've been to Positano you likely know how difficult the steps with bags can be... not at Casa Sam! Adolfo is the best host I've had the pleasure of meeting and made our entire trip extremely enjoyable and super easy! Excellent communication pre-trip, during our stay as well as post-trip. He answered any and all questions. Helped us setup two boat excursions, one day trip to Capri as well as a second boating day on his father's boat exploring the coast. We thoroughly enjoyed our boat trip with his father! Last but not least we also scheduled the private in home dinner for our last night. The private dinner is a must for each group lucky enough to stay at Casa Sam in my opinion. It doesn't get any better! We will be back and we will not ever stay at another property as long as Casa Sam is an option!

Amazing Villa

Our stay at Casa Sam in Positano was nothing short of extraordinary. As a family of four with two teenagers, along with two other couples, we were treated to an unforgettable experience. Casa Sam is a true gem, and the online photos truly don't do justice to its beauty. The moment we stepped inside, we were struck by its charm and elegance. The villa's interior and décor are impeccable, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that made us feel right at home. The dream kitchen in the villa was a delight for our group, especially those who love to cook. A highlight of our stay was Adolfo, the gracious host of Casa Sam. His hospitality and willingness to go the extra mile for us made our trip truly exceptional. He gave us many recommendations and helped us set up a boat trip around Capri. The panoramic views from Casa Sam are simply breathtaking and enjoyed sitting on the different terraces. The villa's location is ideal. We felt like we were on top of the world. Exploring town was easily done by walking the main road and enjoying all the amazing shops & restaurants or taking stairs right by the house directly to the beach. Casa Sam in Positano is a hidden gem on the Amalfi Coast. The combination of its stunning views, ideal location, dream kitchen, thoughtful amenities, and the warm hospitality of Adolfo made our stay truly unforgettable. We wholeheartedly recommend Casa Sam to anyone seeking a perfect retreat in this picturesque part of Italy.

Amazing stay in Positano! Definitely recommend!

The villa was FLAWLESS! I have never been in a more beautiful home with an absolutely stunning view! The interior decor was so stunning and the host was so easy to keep in touch with! It was easy enough to find initially, not to far from the beach, or main shopping areas in Positano. Zero complaints!

Heaven on Earth!

My friends and I stayed at Casa Sam in August 2022. From the time I booked this property, Adolfo was very responsive with all my questions and sent tons of recommendations of things to do along with great restaurants to eat at. Positano is literally heaven on earth! The Villa is even more fabulous in person than online. Pictures don’t do it justice. The best views and the best location. I highly recommend booking this Villa! We will definitely be back.

Perfect in every way

Our experience in Positano was made amazing by staying at this property and Adolfo. Adolfo would respond quickly whenever I reached out. He even helped me book transportation from the train station to his property. The property is absolutely beautiful. I already have friends and family requesting the link to book for their own trips. The views from the multi-level patio areas are stunning. Location was great. Will absolutely book this property whenever I’m lucky enough to return to Positano.
