Relaxing week

We were 2 families with 3 kids 8 to 12. The apartment is perfect to go walking to the beach , do some shopping and take the bus to Porto. We had an enjoyable stay and everything was ok, so we didn’t need any assistance from the hostesses. Thanks Cristina!!!

La valoración general es excelente. Llegamos antes de lo previsto y nos permitieron dejar el coche en el garaje antes de la hora. El parking tiene dos plazas. Una delante de la otra. No tuvimos que mover el coche en los cinco días que estuvimos. El tranvía está a menos de diez minutos andando y el autobús casi en la puerta. Ambos te llevan al centro de Oporto. Joao nos recomendó restaurantes para comer por la zona del puerto. El apartamento es enorme, tiene todo lo necesario y unas vistas espectaculares.

Perfect Matosinhos apartment

Beautiful apartment, the perfect place to stay in Matosinhos. We stayed with 4 kids, ages 10 to 20 and everyone had enough space to be comfortable. We especially enjoyed the fresh ocean air coming through all the windows. No need for AC. The beach is right around the corner. There are also multiple transit options to get to other parts of Porto. Good food options nearby, as well as a grocery store. Excellent hosts with great communication and a lot of clear instructions. It felt like a real home, not a generic rental.

Comfortable, wonderful sea breeze and conveniently located near the beach, groceries (excellent Pingu a short walk away) AND underground parking!The kitchen is well equipped but we didn't make much use of that. The coffee maker is a Dolce Gusto - get pods at the Pingu!A special thanks to the hosts for allowing us to stay an extra day after I got sick and had to visit the hospital. It gave me great relief and peace of mind to know I had a bed to crawl back into after leaving the hospital.

Surpassed expectations

My family had to find accommodation in Matasinhos with very little notice. We were so fortunate this property was available. It is spacious, has an incredible view (the Anomene structure is spectacular during a storm!), is convenient to the beach (of course), grocery, restaurants, the mercado, and public transportation to Porto. I would have loved to have explored the beautiful large park nearby, but didn't have time. Cristina and Joao met us to orient us to the flat. They are both gracious and generous. We felt very welcome. They are also very responsive. We lost electricity one evening, and Joao was immediately on WhatsApp guiding me through the electric panel. :) The kitchen is very well-stocked. My brother is a gourmet cook and had what he needed to cook amazing meals. The one mistake I made was not reading the About the Property section - I was on mobile, in a rush, and didn't see it. Be sure to read it before booking. There is an extra charge if you want to use more than 2 bedrooms. All in all, I heartily recommend staying here, and would love to book again when I'm back in the area.

Amazing flat! Incredible view!

We were met at the door by the wonderful owners! They walked us around the flat and showed us how absolutely everything worked. The communication was fast and friendly. Their very professional website was extremely helpful. We requested an additional fan... they brought us a brand new one within hours! The space itself is quite roomy. Walk time to the expansive beach takes less than 5 minutes. FYI.. the ocean water is very cold. Groceries, restaurants, shops and transportation all nearby. We highly recommended the propery... it won't disappoint.

Loved it! Close to the ocean, calm and lively at the same time.

We loved our stay in Matosinhos, the apartment is spacious and well equipped and the owners welcomed us in a kind way. Parking space in de garage requires good driving skills, as the entrance is a bit narrow. We liked the location very much with a nice view on the sea. On walking distance are many restaurants and also a supermarket. The location enabled us to explore the northern parts of Portugal, for sure we will return!

Merveilleux séjour ! Très bel appartement !

Je recommande cet appartement, très bien situé, vue mer du salon fantastique ! Proche commodité (pingo) et transport (métro) Tout l’équipement nécessaire en cuisine ! Bonne literie ! Wonderful Location and Apartment

We were only in Porto for a long Weekend so wanted a place with a great location, clean, space for all and easy to access the city. This apartment was ideal. We were a block from the beach, kids surfed 2 days, we visited the city and walked the Promenade and Douro River bank. The apartment was available when we needed it, clean and comfortable. When we return to explore Porto more we will stay in this apartment again.

Tolle Lage für einen schönen Urlaub

Wir hatten eine tolle Woche in Matosinhos. Die Wohnung ist sehr groß, geräumig und sauber. Die Lage ist perfekt. Man sieht das Meer vom Wohnzimmer aus und auch die Anbindung mit dem Bus nach Porto ist unkompliziert. Christina und João waren sehr freundlich und bei Fragen jederzeit zu erreichen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Stay in Porto

The communication was excellent with our hosts and they had provided excellent instructions and directions, and they were onsite to greet and receive me. The apartment was excellent for our families, very spacious and perfect for preparing our meals, etc. fantastic kitchen and living area. It was great to have the various areas and door separations, so that we could continue to talk, entertain while others slept. The only thing I would suggest is that screens are installed at the windows so mosquitos don't come in. Ceiling fans would be a great addition as well to have some airflow. The location was central to what we needed for groceries, easy access to transportation, and was great for a hub to explore other areas.

Wonderful location, perfect for 2 families

Everything about this apartment worked for us. It was close to a bus stop, a few blocks from the metro and so close to the beach. If you want an area that is a little quieter but still has plenty of amenities close by (grocery, cafes, restaurants, beach, city park) etc, this is the perfect place for you. You can get to to town easily by bus, and the fish net sculpture helps you easily navigate. The apartment itself is spacious and was ideal for 2 families with kids. The host met us at the apartment to orient us, and we immediately felt at home.

Appartement spacieux et agréable

Cet appartement est très agréable et bien situé loin de l'agitation de Porto avec une belle vue du séjour sur la mer. Le trajet jusqu'à Porto est très simple (bus 500) et longe la côte puis la rive du Douro. L'équipement est suffisant et la communication avec le propriétaire excellente.

Porto Trip with Friends

Pros: We enjoyed the large apartment, accommodating three couples. The location is perfect for accessing public transportation as well as a lovely sea-view. We did not have a vehicle, but there is garage parking available for the unit. It is a short walk to the beach area, and there are many restaurants and supermarkets close to the unit. Our hosts were friendly, helpful and easy to communicate with. Cons: The apartment is on a main thoroughfare and there is a lot of street noise at night too. Light sleepers bring ear plugs. We visited at the end of Summer season, although pleasant temperatures, it is still warm. The unit does not have AC, so the windows need to be open for the cooling breeze. The problem with this is the mosquitos coming into the unit. We were all being attacked during the night and waking with mosquito bites. Clearly, this is a seasonal issue. The single coffee maker is a stove-top espresso boiler, which only makes enough espresso for two people and we were six. We gifted a Nespresso Style coffee maker the the unit. Lastly, the living room furniture needs to be replaced as it worn and looks like Frat House furniture, although it is comfortable! To summarize, the unit is spacious, comfortable, and well located and the hosts are lovely. A few updates and additional style coffee maker are needed.
