This apartment is not a 9 score one. We stayed with our young kids, 5 and 2 years old for 3 days. The apartment is old and needs refurbishment. If you are 4 pax, the ones sleeping in the living room will suffer from a lot of noise from the street as the windows do not isolate well. Also the elevator makes a very loud noise. The house is not fully equipped (no washing machine and dishwasher). No heating system in the living room (but thank god the weather was nice this Easter). A new broom would make no harm also. Pillows were horrible to sleep and to use the terrace it would be nice to have more comfortable furniture. On the positive note, Francisco was always available, the house was clean and the location was great. But, for Porto standards and seeing how the quality of accommodation has increased, this apartment needs a lot of improvement.

De kamer was schoon en netjes! Erg ruim met een mooi ruim terrasje. Contact met Francisco was goed en vlot. Wij konden nog niet rechtstreeks inchecken want we waren wat vroeg, maar toen zijn we even door de stad gaan lopen en vloog de tijd zo voorbij en konden we alweer terug naar het appartement. De buurt is ontzettend gezellig en er is genoeg te doen/eten! Porto is echt een ontzettend mooie stad en we komen graag nog een keer terug!

We had a great time! Perfect spot. Great location for restaurants and the night life. It has its own shared parking garage that comes with a fee of 15/day but worth it rather than trying to find a parking spot on the street. Francisco the property manager met us and went over everything. Everything was great! Would highly recommend this place.

Fantastic place to stay.

Francisco is very communicative and check in was simple. He had all the documentation ready and the apartment was in excellent condition. He had a list of sites to see and was able to coordinate tours and even breakfast. The unit itself is within walking distance of almost everything I wanted to see. I'd stay here again were I going back to Porto in the near future.

Perfekte Wohnung für den Porto-Urlaub

Die Wohnung ist wirklich sehr gut geeignet um eine schöne Zeit in Porto zu verbringen. Ich war mit meinem Sohn (6) da. Die Wohnung hat eine gute Aufteilung, war sehr sauber und angenehm. Das Haus hat auch einen Aufzug. Die Terrasse ist ebenfalls toll. Francesco war zum Check in vor Ort und die Kommunikation hat immer sehr gut geklappt. Man kann ihn auch während des Aufenthalts erreichen. Die Anbindung an Metro und Bus ist super, nur ein paar Minuten zu Fuß, genau wie die Fußgängerzone, der Bohão Market und die Capella das Almas. 2 kleine Punkte waren etwas störend: Das Bett ist sehr hart (zumindest für mich). Und die Fenster sind recht hellhörig, man hört jedes Geräusch und jedes Auto welches draußen auf dem Kopfsteinpflaster fährt, inklusive Müllabfuhr nachts um 11. Ansonsten war alles top.

Driving in Porto is crazy, leave it to the pros and Uber Drivers. We were able to leave the rental parked safely for 3 days and enjoy the town Francisco was much better than me with the communications. I did pick up a Portugal eSIM which was cheap but my home SIM was shut down in the process. I should have met up with him on WhatsAp and it would have made things smoother on my end. The property is an easy walk right down to the water. You can meander easily down and then just hop a Uber back up on a hot summer day for €5 enjoying the port and sangria during the day.

Not for the stereotype tourist

The location is ideally close to all areas of Porto worth visiting, and being on the top floor gives a beautiful, panoramic view of the town. The typical tourist who goes to restaurants for every meal and enjoys the night life will find this apartment excellent. However, for us, it turned out that it was not the best place to stay for several reasons: 1. Kitchen utensils are few and insufficient to cook with. We don't ever eat out, and enjoy cooking our own meals, and the following items were not provided: a cutting board, a can opener, a working cheese/fruit vegetable peeler, a colander, at least one sharp knife to cut meat, tall glasses for cocktails, larger pots and frying pans. Also, the kitchen sink drain tends to leak water on the floor at the bottom of the drain pipe. 2. The bed in the main room is too short for anyone above average height, as myself, and pillows are too small. 3. The elevator produces loud noises every time it starts and stops; at night it is very bothersome for people who want to sleep at night, instead of being out on the town for activities. Also, neighbor dogs bark at various times of day and night. Mr. Urbano has been extremely helpful in offering a ride to and from the airport, and for providing many useful tips to make our stay as pleasant as possible. All in all, this apartment is well suited for most everyone, but not perfect for a mature couple who enjoys a home away from home.

The apartment at 322 Rua de Alegria is the perfect place for an extended stay in Porto. Everything is within walking distance. The apartment itself is spacious and comfortable. And the host is very gracious and helpful. Fantastic!

Clean, Convenient and comfortable!

Francisco's apartment was everything that we needed and expected in Porto. We took advantage of his service that met us at the airport...it was so smooth and allowed us an easy way to learn about the apartment... AND hear great suggestions about what to do in Porto. We appreciated treats left for us for our first night! The apartment was incredibly clean, and we were just down the street from a grocery store, the Temporary Market, the metro station and a pedestrian street. We decided to book a Douro Wine Tour through Francisco. It was excellent and a highlight of our trip! Porto is so interesting...and so hilly..it is hard to avoid the hills. I would recommend Francisco's apartment.

Sehr angenehmer Kontakt und Wohnung ist sehr gut

Der Gastgeber Francisco geht sehr auf individuelle Wünsche ein und steht mit Rat und Tat zur Verfügung. Die Wohnung selbst ist angenehm groß und sauber. Vor allem der kleine Frühstücksbalkon bei der Küche ist perfekt am Morgen. Die Dachterrasse dagegen hat ab Mittag Sonne und man kann dort gut im Liegestuhl entspannen, ein Buch lesen oder zu Abend essen.

Zentral gelegenes großzügiges Appartment mit Terrasse

Schon das Check - in war sehr gut. Francisco erklärte das Objekt und gab viele nützliche Tips. Gute Einkaufsmög lichkeiten (mehrere Supermärkte und ein kleiner Obst- und Gemüseladen) befinden sich in der Nähe. Metro-Haltestelle in 5 Min. zu Fuß erreichbar. Die Wohnung befindet sich in der 4. Etage und kann gut mit einem Lift erreicht werden. Sie ist größer als die meisten anderen Objekte dieser Preislage und ist sehr gut eingerichtet. Weiterhin besitzt sie eine große Terrasse. Wir würden in Porto jederzeit diese Wohnung wieder mieten.

The best location in Porto

After spending hours upon hours searching for the perfect suite for our 20 days stay Were very glad we pick francisco suite. Booking online was simple, checking in went as planned. Francisco arrange a secure parking spot for our car Right next door for the entire time ( Parking for a Fee ) One little misunderstanding the listing shows a tumble dryer we assumed a washer was there But no laundry facilities so we did have to walk a few blocks to do our laundry. The Terrace is amazing sun starts to hit it around 10:00am and stay until sunset over the neighbouring building. A previous review mentioned lounge chairs unfortunately there is only a bistro table and two chairs. Proper lounge chairs would be a marketable improvement . We would absolutely recommend this suite to our friends and future guests. you will love the location.

Perfect for us!

Apartment was great, Had everything we needed, and so central. We sat out at night and watched the sun set with a glass of wine. Lots of advice from Francisco on what to see, and where to go, and we did it all! Much better than staying in a hotel, as you see the real Porto, just what independent travellers like us want to do. Took up Francisco and Carla's service to and from the airport. Perfect!
