This was a great place to stay. The location is fantastic--very easy to get around and see many Portland area attractions in our rental car. The host was wonderful. We did not need any assistance during our stay, but I'm confident if something had come up, Melissa would have helped. Highly recommend 10/10

I travel for work and this last time, I was traveling for a month. I was so lucky to have found Melissa’s property. It was spacious, quiet, and equipped with everything I needed to be comfy and have a place to call home for a month. I have another friend coming to the area for work and have already recommended it! I hope to stay here again

A lovely property, very clean and comfortable, and superbly furnished and equipped. Top of the line appliances and fixtures throughout. Convenient to all of Portland and the surrounding area. Melissa was spot-on with communication, proactive and pleasant to deal with. Very highly recommended.

Second stay, love this place

We stayed here last year and came back, so that says a lot.PROmostly everything. Nice place, communicative and responsive host, plenty of space, great view, well equipped kitchen, pool table. There's more, but it's in my review last year.CONI find the shower hard to get to the right temperature (same as last year).DEPENDSif you like a bidet toilet seat, then it's a plus. I don't care for it personally - it makes the toilet area to go in smaller.BOTTOM LINEAs long as our kids live where they are currently living, this is where I will stay when I come to Portland.

A beautiful place to stay

We were absolutely thrilled with Melissa's home in SW Portland. The is by far the best rental we've stayed in Portland. WE come fairly frequently to visit our adult children. They live in the NW part of the city. This was a bit of a drive for us to thier house and back each day, but we so appreciated having a lovely, quiet. clean and cheerful home to return to after a full day with our new grandbabby.I would definately stay here on a regular bais and would highly recommend to anyone who appreciates a nice home in Portland. We have not found many! This is it.

Quiet and Comfortable

This spot was everything advertised, and I was very happy with my stay. The kitchen was very good, wifi was solid, and the bed and couch were very comfortable. The host was very communicative and left very clear instructions for everything, which was great.

The property has everything and more that you could possibly need for your stay.

This was the first time I stayed at a VRBO where the owner lived on site, and honestly, we were better for it. Melissa communicated effectively and was a great host. The VRBO was fully stocked, had a great notebook with suggestions for around the area. We loved playing the games they have, especially the pool table. The backyard is like havong your own private oasis to sit and listen to the birds and look at the flowering trees. Ir really is a great place.pool tab

The Perfect Getaway Spot!

This is a definite 10-star location (reviews here only allowed for five stars but I would definitely give 10 if an option)! Charming, pristine, homey and with its own unique amenities (like the beautiful “secret garden” off the patio, equipped with grill, hammock, and frequently visiting little birds), just to name a few. I needed a fully equipped kitchen (i cook a lot for my husband who is on a renal diet), and it was filled with everything I had at home and more! So comfortable and close to everywhere we needed to go, lots of privacy, and super responsive communication from lovely host Melissa, who thought of everything with so many finishing touches to make us feel at home. We highly recommend this home for anyone visiting the Portland area,I can’t imagine a more pleasant stay!

Property was clean and comfortable, kitchen was very well stocked, bed was excellent. Towels were good quility and for a week stay we had everything we thought of. Parking was easy. We had a great stay and the hosts were available and very kind. I highly recommend staying there! You will love it!

Oasis IS a good description

The Bottom Line • This is a great place. We would love to stay here again The Pros • Communication – Melissa is very nice & always responds very quickly. Pre-arrival info is detailed and clear • Explanation – there are VERY clear signs that make it easy to know how to use everything. • Back yard – beautiful garden, surrounded by green. You can’t see the street. Birds come, & there was a bunny we saw every day. • Clean – possibly the cleanest place we’ve stayed • Well-equipped kitchen – it’s all there, plus seating at the island bar AND the table. And the microwave vent fan over the burners is vented outside (not like most places where it just vents right back into the kitchen) • Stays Cool – it was over 100 degrees 4 days in a row. There’s no A/C, except a vent in one room, so we were worried. No need. In spite of the heat, it was never too warm. • Main room – pool table & foosball. Couch & chairs. Roku TV, you can sign in to your own streaming services & automatically signs you out at the end of your stay. The fireplace is super easy to use • Bedroom – the bed was comfortable enough The Cons • The shower – Hard to set the temperature; if you’re off by a millimeter on the handle, you’ll get scalded. • One day we smelled upstairs cooking. Conclusion • I almost hate to write a 5-star review because I am afraid that this place won’t be available the next time we come to Portland! • This is a great place and we loved staying there.

Awesome rental!

The unit had everything we needed and more! It was very spacious and homey. We really enjoyed the patio and grill, the roomy bedroom and the provided entertainment options. The patio space is your very own oasis with beautiful greenery! The host was very proactive and responsive! It was located in the hills with great views! The unit was only 15 minutes from downtown Portland with easy access to the freeway system. We truly enjoyed our stay!

Truly an Oasis

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at this oasis. Beautiful yard and gardens from the panoramic window view into the private backyard. After a day of hiking various trails, we often enjoyed our evening meal sitting on the patio. Completely updated kitchen with all amenities! Very comfortable king-size bed in a spacious bedroom. Great signage/instructions throughout (wifi, fireplace instructions, etc). If we are ever back in the Portland area, this is where we will be staying!

Beautiful home away from home

The perfect place for my daughter and I on a weekend vacation. Extremely clean, perfectly stocked and well equipped kitchen. The yard is gorgeous, the fireplace cozy, the bed super comfy, and the pool/foosball made for fun evenings after long days out in the city. We will def stay again the next time we are in Portland!

Home away from home

We stayed at the west hills bnb because of close proximity to OHSU/Doernbechers. The neighborhood is very quiet. Parking with ease and accessibility of space was great. The unit was absolutely as advertised, with all the comforts of home. With cleanliness and well thought out items throughout. From the full size toiletries in bath, to the kitchen amenities as well. Melissa was very easy to communicate with. Our trip was as perfect as it could be. We would love to stay again in the future.

Perfect Landing for a Portland Visit

Our stay at this property was an all around 5 star experience. Our host, Melissa, gave us a warm welcome and provided us with all the information we needed to get settled. The outdoor setting is lovely and the apartment is comfortable and well appointed. Two things are particularly important to us—cleanliness and a good quality bed. Melissa hit it out of the park with both!
