Pure Portland

My husband and I were in town for a family celebration. Staying in 'Casa Maggie Mae' felt just like what I imagined a beautiful Portland home in a great neighborhood would be-- everything within walking distance, and cozy comfort. We'd happily stay again!

Great weekend stay at Casa Maggie May! The communication with the owner was super quick and easy and the house was adorable. Plenty of room for our family and walking distance to breweries and restaurants. The house was incredibly clean and every detail taken care of.

Clean, great location!

We had a very nice stay in Portland at Casa Maggie Mae. The house was extremely clean and living area spacious. About a mile from the Alberta District so totally walkable. Would definitely stay there again. Thanks for the kind hospitality!

Great stay at Casa Maggie Mae

Had a wonderful stay at Casa Maggie Mae. House was in beautiful condition, and off street parking was great. Nice quiet neighborhood , and was close to great restaurants, etc. and easy highway access for trips to the coast, mountains, and wineries! Host was great to work with and very informative on the area. Can't wait to go back.

Neighborhood Charm

We selected this property northeast of downtown Portland given its proximity to our daughter, who we were in town visiting. While we didn’t spend much time in the home beyond sleeping, it was cozy and well appointed. Single serve Keurig machine was a nice touch and the water in that area is good, eliminating the need for bottled water. Easy Uber access, walking distance to great restaurants, coffee houses and groceries. I’m a fan of an electronic entry; Steve made it simple to gain access and lock up. We would stay there again when back in town.

Wonderful home with all of the amenities

Wonderful home with all of the amenities and close to Alberta and Mississippi districts. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would not hesitate to book this place again on our next Portland trip. Steve was extremely responsive and friendly. A+ home and host! Highly recommend!

Great Visit / Great House

Casa Maggie Mae is a beautifully-restored, charming home in a great neighborhood. It is thoughtfully appointed--great linens, shampoo/conditioner, kitchen items--everything. We brought our teen daughter and the 2-bedroom layout gave her the privacy she likes. If we'd had more people, there were comfortable-looking futons in good locations. We had terrific meals in the Alberta Arts District and North Mississippi neighborhoods and found the house extremely convenient to both. Steve was really nice and easy to work with! Check-in was a breeze.

We love Casa Maggie Mae!

This was our second time staying at Casa Maggie Mae and it is one of our favorite VRBO’s of all time. The home is beautiful yet comfortable (feels like home) and is well appointed with everything one would need for a short or long stay. The neighbors are friendly and kind and the neighborhood is walkable and safe. Steve is a great owner, so easy to talk with and attentive to your needs. We highly recommend Casa Maggie Mae and we will definitely be visiting again!

Wonderful home

Made to feel welcoming and safe! Great neighborhood with new and old. Central location and easy to get around anywhere you’re headed. On site laundry was a dream! Enjoyed our stay and the house felt very much like our own home while we stayed. The host, Steve, is welcoming and friendly.

Beautiful home, great location!

Our family stayed over Easter weekend and the home was a perfect fit. Beautiful decor, yet comfortable and felt like home. The homeowner is very welcoming, kind and communicated fantastically. The home was supplied with all we needed, beds were very comfy and the layout was excellent with two teens who need their own space from the parents. Location was perfect, central to all of Portland, walkable, quiet and safe. We will definitely visit again and highly recommend!

Older modest "Portland" Suburb home in quiet neighborhood.

Positives: Home was clean, rooms were relatively large. Appliances all working, host provided condiments/coffee which was a nice touch. Host was attentive and offered his help. Barbecue grill available outside. Dining room easily held 6 people. Parking was not a problem although the on premise parking spot was at quite an angle to the street. Wifi system worked well. We normally rent a condo downtown but due to local conditions decided to go outside the city center. Negatives: Money paid well in advance but VRBO rules prevented host from telling us where the house was. Door opening was controlled by a smartphone app we had no notice of until a few days before arrival (driving across country). It turned out not be a problem but could be if no smartphone or not computer savvy. Check in 4pm and out 10am on a Sunday, good for cleaners but not renters. Patio area covered by concrete slabs. As expected in an older setting tree roots push up the slabs and I took a tumble by not seeing the difference in levels. Suggest putting some cones up to make people aware of the hazard, No cable TV, only internet streaming.

This is our fourth stay at this property-we LOVE the location, the neighborhood, the charming house and wonderful amenities along with the proximity to everything we want to enjoy while in Portland. Steve does a fantastic job answering questions and providing everything our family needs for a great vacation stay! I highly recommend staying here, you will not be disappointed.
