Roy has the heart of a host.My friend's car was broken into on the way to the house. When she arrived, he helped her tape up the window and vacuumed out the broken glass. It was exactly what one might expect if visiting family, but he's just a great host who treated us like family.The property was well-appointed, comfortable, and in a great location--about a five minute walk from the cool stores (Frock! Citizen Ruth!), bars, and restaurants of the Alberta Arts District. It's also close to Irvington, a historic neighborhood that's super fun for running.My friends and I are so grateful to Roy for a wonderful weekend!

The hosts seemed very welcoming! The property was very clean, had a spacious living room, and a very well-equipped kitchen. We appreciated all the soft towels and toiletries as well. The sheets were soft and the beds were comfy! The location was perfect for us. The beautiful park was great for morning jogs, it was just a short walk to restaurants, and we could also walk to see family that lived nearby. It was also convenient that we had a parking spot in the driveway!

The host gave us a warm welcome and made sure that we had everything we needed! It was a spotless home that was in a great location; we enjoyed the park across the road, the short, pleasant walk to Alberta St and the very short walk to a cluster of great restaurants around the corner. I appreciated the amenities, too - we didn’t cook on this trip but we easily could have. We would absolutely stay here again with our 2 (pre-teen/teen) kids. Thank you so much!

Great spot and we would stay again. Comfortable beds and clean. The full kitchen was nice. Lots of options for the TV. Having a parking spot off the street was also reassuring. Roy was very welcoming and accommodating.

Fantastic hosts and accommodations!

Roy and Peggy are fantastic hosts and the property is the cleanest and most comfortable (beds are great) we have stayed in! There are great restaurants and shopping all within easy walking distance, and Roy gave us some great recommendations. Easy access to all highways and the airport. Will definitely return!

The house was very clean and comfortable. The owner obviously takes a lot of pride in maintaining this unit. The location was perfect. Walking distance to shops and restaurants in the Alberta Arts district and across the street from a park with tennis courts. We had a great stay!

What a great stay! The cleanest house I have ever stayed in and I have rented a lot of them. The hosts were right next door and were so attentive without hovering. Total pros, I would stay here again in a red - hot second. I love Alberta Dist. so much and being a few blocks off makes parking and the walk to coffee or shopping so nice. It was crazy hot in town and the house AC was easy to use and the beds were super comfy. The kitchen had every tool we needed as we are not able to be restaurant people. Thank you so much!

Felt like home.

It was great to have our own home. And to make it even better, the owner of the duplex lives on the other side. So, although we never needed anything - the home is very well equipped - we knew they were right there if we needed them. Lovely home. Lovely couple.

Fun Family Visit in Portland

Roy & Peggy were outstanding hosts: our plane was delayed, but Roy stayed up to check us in. The house and garden are immaculate; furniture and beds comfortable. The house is in a fun residential neighborhood: pretty park across the street; fun shops and restaurants about 3 blocks away.

Portland wedding weekend
