"We had a great stay at the Funky Turtle. The house was clean and just enough space for my family of 5. The house is close to campground bathrooms if the occasional extra bathroom is needed. We enjoyed the fire pit, use of the grill, and sitting on the porch. Our only complaint is about the noise but it was clear from the map that the campground was located near an interstate. "There was great communication with the owner. Our 7 and 8 year old had a blast in the community with a splash pad, pools, playground, arcade, concert (free) the first night we got there. There is a train that you had to get used to but we adapted. It was our girls first time fishing and they stock the pond every 3 years and we saw lots of people catching fish. The outdoor fire place was stocked with wood. "

"We stayed here a couple nights as part of a long road trip. Our kids enjoyed the sand volleyball, playground and mini golf ($2). We enjoyed the great weather, grilling by the water and convenience of a kitchen! In addition to the provided bathroom, there are multiple nearby camp style bath houses that are clean. The camper itself is older but maintained; there are pots & pans, plates etc."

"Our traveling team size was 30 and we struggled giving everyone a proper sleeping arrangement. I would definitely recommend a team no bigger than 25. Unless you put 3 to a king bed, which we did not. They do include air mattresses as counting twin beds as well, which again, isn't up to par for some college sport programs for a week stay. "Enjoyed three nights at this property to hike the dunes. Location was good, towards the West side of the park but an easy drive to multiple hikes. Also had the option to walk directly from the house for the Miller Woods trail and Miller Woods Beach. Backyard was great for relaxing after a day of hiking. "The Blue Bird House was perfect for our brief stopover near Indiana Dunes to visit with friends. Communication was excellent! Check in and check out was easy-peasy! Kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed. Fenced yard was great for giving our dog a little room to stretch. Bunkbeds were perfect for our teens. I wish we could have stayed longer, but I would definitely stay here again when we're back in the area."

"We stayed in the Troll's Den with our family of 4 and it was just perfect. Easy checkin and good amenities. The property manager communicated everything that we needed to know and got us wristbands for the amenities, including paddle boats and playground. It was less than a mile walk to the beach. Lake Michigan was cold because we were there in May, so it felt like we had the beach to ourselves. Overall a great trip. The kids keep asking when we can go back."
