Dune Our Thing

We were a group of 8 adults and 5 children. Loved the pool, the well-stocked kitchen, the roomy bedrooms . Plenty of room for everyone. We had a wonderful, relaxing time.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is so beautiful and the decks are large and inviting! The kitchen was very well stocked. Having the separate living space downstairs was really nice for our digital learner and teleworking husband away from the rest of us. The private boardwalk was perfect as well as the outdoor shower. I highly recommend this beach house, you will not regret it!

Beautiful home. Amenities high end and everything you need. TV broken in master and missing controller for fan in another room. The management were very responsive when we reported a broken towel rack and sent someone to repair immediately. Zero complaints with the management company and their communication. The view from the main living area, (where the kitchen is), is outstanding and you can enjoy the sunset from a well furnished deck. The bedrooms on the lower level do not have a gulf view, but rather, a dune view. It does have a nice deck as well. This house has allot of stairs; something to be aware of should you have an elderly family member as we did. The pool area is incredibly nice; we spent allot of time there. The walk to the beach is a bit of a hike and, again, allot of stairs, (some quite steep). We were able to take mom to the next door property where there was a ramp for beach access; easier walk. I would recommend this beautiful home to anyone that is relatively fit and can manage allot of stairs. The home itself is beautiful.

LOOK NO FURTHER... THIS IS THE PLACE!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a gorgeous home furnished with local artwork that enhanced the relaxing feel of a vacation at the Forgotton Coast. The kitchen was well stocked, the bedrooms were well appointed with spotless upgraded bathrooms, there was plenty of room in the home for our family of eight and parking for five cars. Much to our dogs delight, you could walk for miles on the beautiful expansive beach void of crowds and beach vendors. The highlight was the beautiful sunsets from the back deck overlooking the gulf and listening to the waves. We enjoyed a trip to St. George Island, Appalachicola, Port St. Joe, and daily trips to the seafood market for fresh seafood for dinner. Cape and Coast was extremely professional and made the whole process from booking to checkout seamless. We would love to return to this happy home!

Labor Day Beach Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was great for a large group of people. The view was great, but there are buildable lots in front, so the it may get obstructed at some point. Also, be aware that it’s right next door to two very large condo/townhome complexes, so the beach may be more crowded than other parts of the Cape. Also, we were the only people that I saw using the community boardwalk the whole week. That was nice, but it is in need of some upkeep. There are overgrown plants that partially block sections of the walk. The lock on the gate is also broken.Be aware that the steps are steep, so I wouldn’t recommend renting a beach cart or kayak.

A great stay with a few precautions

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our 5th year of renting a home at the cape and this house ranked among the best. In fact, the only reason we did not immediately reserve for 2022 is the price has jumped by more than 35% for the same week next year.PROS:- great views- The outdoor showers- Well appointed kitchen - Ice machine in garage- proximity to the poolCONS:- a LOT of steps - if you dont do steps, this is not your house / steep stairs to beach - the top of which needs a repair & three flights in the house - kitchen is on the top floor. Unloading the car is an event. - the dryer did not work - specifically the timer which someone had put a dryer sheet on with sharpie marker to say “timer broken”. This was seen after the dryer ran all night.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Mostly good. Due to miscommunication the home was not cleaned from previous guest. In our minds the housekeepers did a very quick clean of the house, especially given the covid precautions we thought were being taken. Ceiling fans and exhaust fans in the bathrooms coated w/dust, doors w black dirty hand prints, dust under the master bed upstairs. While the cleaning crew was very apologetic, wished they had done a deeper clean. Makes us a little nervous about what standard cleaning practices reallly are. We did much appreciate the refund of the cleaning fee, that was an unexpected surprise, but hope that cleaning practices are reviewed.

Beds were very comfortable.I would caution, however, about the VERY, VERY steep stairs to the beach. Someone who is elderly or has a physical disability would probably have a hard time being able to navigate them.
