Wonderful stay!

My family throughly enjoyed our stay. The bedrooms and bathrooms made it comfortable for all of us to stay together without feeling like we were on top of each other. We loved the decks overlooking the water and every bedroom has access to a deck. Covered decks made it nice to sit outside at any point of the day. We would definitely stay here again.

Spring break ‘23

This was a perfect spot for our family get away. The street noise is a little inconvenient, but the ocean views and sounds of the waves far outweighed the street noise. The porch (both levels) offered perfect sunset views and being right on the beach was a definite plus. Thanks for the memories!!

A well laid out rental property that is just a very short walk to the beach! Perfect for a gathering of family. Calm water, beautiful property, and great fishing.

Nice property, hurricane damaged town

At the time of booking, we were not aware that the entire town of Port Saint Joe and Mexico Beach had been devastated by a hurricane in 2018. The two properties next-door to this one we’re still in need of demolition and reconstruction. The property we stayed at was fine, but the roofers next-door were kneeling nails for four days of our stay. This is not the fault of the property obviously, but if I had known of the devastation in advance, I might not have booked. However, it was a nice property, and it was absolutely on the beach, which is what we were looking for. I would book the property again in a couple of years when the construction is done on neighboring homes and businesses.

Great Vacation Beach House

Directly on the beach! No roads or other properties to cross. Very clean and spacious place. The beach is very secluded, which worked great for us. All the bedrooms had a balcony which made everyone very happy. Great place. Definitely recommend.

Mid-winter vacation

We came down from NY in the heart of the winter, looking for a vacation at the beach in Florida and we found it! This is a cozy house right on the beach with soft sand and incredible sunsets over the water.

Excellent stress free fun retreat

A lot of a vacation depends on … location, accommodations, and management company. To a degree price also and this is the best VALUE hands down. I’d rather stay home than try to save a few $$ and end up hassling on my vacation. Those gulf front views … being able to gaze on the beautiful ocean anytime, see dolphins and other wildlife at random. Being lulled to sleep by the ocean. No packing to go to the beach, it’s your backyard but the house is far enough to be very private. The inside and outside layout feels perfect. No angling and crowding for all the guests. Rare FOUR bathrooms with a jack n jill, two en suite, and one bedroom steps right outside the hallway to a bath. The house is set up so people can choose between alone reflective time or easily socializing. Excellent Internet and cell reception. Living room seating is perfect, decorations are statement worthy but not tacky. No masses of beach kitsch and tskhatchke but thoughtful accessories and surprises throughout. Brand new stylish furnishings. Everything was spotless. The appliances were perfect, so easy to figure out, it all felt effortless. The grocery store didn’t sell alcohol, and I didn’t have time to stop again on the way back with a car load of kids and groceries. There is a little bar and liquor store right 15 – 20 steps or so across the street !!! Even though the water was “cold” kiddos played for hours every day and loved the house and beach setup. Whether you were one person (nightly rate is a steal compared to other options in the area) or families, the space is flexible and comfortable. Goldilocks would like any of the beds, they are just right no old saggy mattresses here. The beach houses are in a tough environment to keep maintained, one issue with a bathroom during our stay but instead of voicemail and silence on a Sunday, phone answered cheerfully (shout out forgotten coast property management you are the best of all the companies we have tried in the area) and someone courteous and professional came an hour later to repair and even cleaned up the mess and brought new towels. Check in, communication, procedures were clear and simple. We made a fire on the beach at night, roasted marshmallows, heard the ocean waves and gazed up at millions of bright stars. This was after a direct front VIP seat to a gorgeous Florida sunset as the back decks face West. Not this relaxed maybe ever. I am bummed I didn’t act quickly enough and book my next desired dates.

Relaxing Weekend

Great house in good location but construction around us made for loud early mornings. Bar across the street made for noisy nights ... and the stairs in the house were aweful and steep. We ended up using outside back stairs for safety purposes with older folks and kids. Not having basic cable/tv was aweful having to get the televisions to connect to the internet was a nightmare. But... Overall pleased with our stay.

Just What I Needed

Water is calm, beach is sparsely populated. Step off your deck & you are on the beach. Bed was comfortable. A well stocked kitchen. We really enjoyed our time there.

Beautiful home!

The house was perfect for our group. We had so much space and the house was very well decorated. The neighborhood around the house however still had so much damage from hurricane Michael it was almost overwhelming the house to the left into the right are still heavily damaged and sore meanie on the way to the home we still had a wonderful time the beach was beautiful we didn’t have any issues with bugs and watch beautiful sunsets and sunrises. The house has a lot of stairs so if you’re not prepared for stairs then don’t recommend this one it wasn’t an issue for our group.

Beautiful Beach Home

This is our third summer in the Mexico Beach/Port St Joe area. This house was just over the Mexico Beach border. I’m sure it must have had some restoration after the storm as everything looked brand new and extremely clean. It was perfect for our Grandkids trip as it had three bedrooms and two baths upstairs and the master with two baths downstairs. Ocean views from every bedroom. We were pleased to find a house right on the beach, as most in that area are across the street. Even though the hurricane pretty much destroyed that area, rebuilding is underway and we didn’t find it to be an inconvenience. There was a very large Dollar General within walking distance and two more grocery stores within 6 miles. A couple of restaurants near the house and several 6 miles away in Port St Joe. This was our most perfect stay yet and we love the empty beaches. Although this is typical even before the storm, because there are no high rise condos anywhere. There are no negatives about this place😊...
