    “The Pickle” is your true vacation getaway, the perfect combination of comfort, convenience and natural beauty. Relax with family and friends and choose your view: an uninterrupted vista of either the blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico or beautiful St. Joseph Bay. To entice you further, the sugary white sand beach and turquoise Gulf water are just steps away. Treat yourself to spectacular views of a peaceful beach, free of crowds, with no high-rise hotels or condos in sight. This newly renovated home will have you begging to be in a “Pickle.”


    Start the morning with coffee/tea on the Bayside deck, watching the sunrise. Enjoy surf fishing, dolphin watching, shelling, playing games, or relaxing with a book. Bring your hammock and hookup outside. End your day with breathtaking sunsets from one of two ocean-facing decks. Several Adirondack chairs/barstools along with a newly installed stainless steel cable railing provide tranquil and unobstructed views. All of the decks are gated to provide safe environments for the little ones (both two- and four-legged).


    Ground Level: Twin/Double Bunk bedroom great for the kids, covered parking, grill, and beach access. Cool off and clean up from your day on the beach in the private outdoor shower.


    2nd Level: Updated kitchen (granite countertops, backsplash tiles), newly installed wood flooring throughout; remodeled ocean-front deck with stainless steel cables provides unhindered views of the Gulf. Gulf-side indoor dining and living areas are open concept and offer plenty of seating choices. First floor Queen Bedroom has a private bayside deck and full bath, and there’s a bayside outdoor dining area.


    3rd Level. Master Bedroom King Suite (private bath and balcony overlooking the ocean). A second Queen Bedroom has a full bath and private bay-viewing deck. The laundry room and office nook are also on this level.


    When you return home, folks will ask you where you were last week. You can jokingly say, “I was in a Pickle.” Your secret is safe with us.

Beautiful, clean home with beautiful views. Management employees were pleasant and were available by text and phone. I received a lot of great informative texts but I called at 5:30pm on check-in day since I did not receive the check-in text for when the house was ready. Once I did call, check in was easy. I would definitely refer this home to family/friends and would love to return. Overall, the stay was relaxing and enjoyable.

Very nice house with everything we could have wanted. One problem when we first arrived with the HVAc but one call was all it took to have quick response and everything up in a timely manner. We didn’t want to leave.

Great house! Exactly what our family needed to escape for the Thanksgiving holiday. While the house might look "old" from the road, the inside is well taken care of and modernized with renovations. The appliances are great, plenty of cookware, amazing location. I would stay here again.

Exactly as Expected

Great location and the house was as described. I think much better view from the master bedroom and back deck than advertised. Would stay there again.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We absolutely love The Pickle. Weve stayed around 5 times but despite a few updates it’s still in need of some serious TLC. The beach, views, porch, location and bedrooms are great but the kitchen area is not up to standard for rentals theses days. The sink backs up, no garbage disposal, no kurig, and overall feels grimy. The worst past of all though is the mold from a leak in the ceiling and around all of the rusty air vents. It’s sad because this place is really wonderful.

The house was so nice and in a great location to restaurants and shopping. The balconies were perfect for sunrises and sunsets. We had never seen so many shells as there were on the beach. I already want to go back. The property staff were so friendly and communication was top notch from time of reserving the house until we checked out. Love this!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Pickle was perfect and very comfortable for a relaxing week with our adult children and our dog. Britney and the other staff members I spoke with were very helpful and pleasant. It’s wonderful to have a nice place to stay on a beautiful beach that allows us to bring our pets but a couple other rental guests in the area didn’t follow the leash rules and let multiple pets run up and down the beach without controlling them. Overall, it was exactly the vacation we were looking for and we all enjoyed our time there.

Loved this house and Location!

We absolutely loved our vacation in this house at Cape San Blas. We had a family of four and my two older family members (in their 80’s) who came with us. The house is awesome, clean, comfortable with nice furniture and a completely stocked kitchen. It is right on the beach. The house had everything that we needed even things that I forgot, it had. We enjoyed the board games, we watched movies, played on the beach. We sat out on the amazing deck that has plenty of comfortable seating and had drinks and watched incredible sunsets. We drove just down the road to the state park and rented kayaks and stayed at the beach for a day and had a picnic lunch. Even my teenagers who can sometimes be bored loved this place, we had so much family time. We got donuts from the little local homemade donut place down the street and they were the best we’ve ever had. I just really can’t say enough about this house the location and our week there. Also, the property managers are super responsive and kind and we had a great experience with them as well. We cannot wait to go back!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great house. We only consider it 3 bedroom because the 4th is lower level, would not let our little kiddos stay down there. We had some problems getting TV’s to work but honestly we brought one fire stick from home and this saved us. Will bring more than one in the future. We were far enough down the beach from the rocks that there was actually some beach in front of the house so that was a relief since so many had almost none. Only recommendations would be to update cookware, some of the skillets we’re almost impossible to keep things from sticking and other thing would be to get an auto off coffee maker. We left this on one night overnight and it could have been bad. The light on it isn’t easily seen so we just unplugged it from then on. We love renting from coastal Joe they are always quick to try and fix any problems!

This house is very nice with lots of room for your family. The view of the ocean and sunsets are amazing and access to the beach is a few steps away. Great dog friendly beach house

Right on the beach, gorgeous sunsets and easy to get to restaurants or just the grocery store and spend time on the beach. We found the house pretty clean overall, could use a refresh on the kitchen pots/pans, utensils, etc. My family all thought the beds were too firm and could’ve been more comfy. Satellite TV and Wi-Fi very intermittent, FYI. We enjoyed our family time and would consider the area but not sure about this specific house.

Everything looks new and up to date. Only thing I have to complain about is mold around the air vents on the ceiling. We had to call for maintenance once and they were prompt and came quickly.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location of this property is ideal for accessing Scallop Cove, The Trading Post and Beach Planet. Comfortable walking distance to all. The beach access is extremely convenient and beautiful! Unfortunately, we were unable to use the ground floor bedroom due to moisture and the smell of mildew. The dehumidifier placed in that space is really undersized for the amount of moisture. We ran the dehumidifier the entire time we were there, but due to the capacity of the unit, it would shut off during the night when it got full. It could be just a seasonal thing. We did enjoy our stay though.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Fabulous spot right on the beach. The house itself is getting tired, showing wear and tear for sure. Someone had used a bathroom and not flushed (that was our welcome.) The ice maker in the frig didn’t work and when we notified management we were hoping someone would drop off a bag of ice for us instead we were told to buy a bag and we’d be reimbursed. No garbage bags...no paper towels...scratchy, thin towels. No hairdryer in our bathroom.. Comforter didn’t look clean. Place could use a Keurig and a second king bed. Grill very rusted but it worked. I would not rent this exact house again but at least now we know the area.
